we're building a "verified non-AI" feature into a video collection tool. curious if this actually matters to anyone here.

I'm the founder of Vloggi — we help brands collect video from customers, fans and employees via a QR code or link. Disclosing that upfront because this post is partly market research.

We're in the middle of adding what we're calling anti-AI provenance: device fingerprinting plus a record-only mode, meaning submitters can't upload a pre-made file, they have to record in the moment, on a phone. The video either came from a real person's camera right now, or it didn't come in at all.

The reason we're building it: more and more briefs we see mention "needs to look like it came from a real person" as an explicit requirement. Clients are getting nervous about AI-looking content eroding trust, and some are starting to ask whether the video they're collecting is even genuine.

What I'm genuinely unsure about is whether the provenance piece is something marketers will actually care about — as in, would "verified recorded on device, no upload" mean anything to you when you're approving content for a campaign? Or is it the kind of thing that matters to legal and compliance but nobody else?

Curious what people here are actually running into. Are clients asking you about this yet, or is it still mostly an internal worry?

Apart from Aja, I find all the SD cover art awful. Is there a reason for this? Thrill might be ironic, but Pretzel is just lazy artwork and Royal Scam is poorly executed. Gaucho is okay. But were they not as visually gifted as they were musically?
