Obviously, it's bad news that my ICCU failed. Also, I haven't had a great time with the dealership. My 2022 GT-Line had been in for two weeks as of last Friday. I called to check on progress, and they told me that parts hat been ordered. Which is great, but they never let me know that they had actually diagnosed the problem, or what they were doing to fix it, or what my case number was. It turns out, they didn't create a case number with Kia, and they didn't have an explanation for why they hadn't kept me in the loop. The good news is that they're saying it'll be fixed by Thursday of this week. Having heard horror stories about how long it has taken for some people to get a new ICCU, I'm happy with a 3 week turn around. Assuming I actually get it on Thursday.

I tallied the results. In response to criticism of my methodology in the past, I counted upvotes on each comment. I also show the number of times each watch was mentioned in separate in parentheses. (That actually changes very little in the way of ranking, although it impacts some more than others.) Only top-level comments were counted. If more than one watch was mentioned, I counted only the first watch.

There were 260 votes across 25 brands / 61 models. (There's a bit of vagueness there. Sub was only counted as Sub, despite people sometimes specifying date or no date. Other similar simplifications were made.) Rolex ran away with it, with 10 models getting 73 votes, plus both first and second place whether you go by total upvotes or individual mentions. Aside from joke watches, nearly everything on the list is mainstream. Damasko is probably the most obscure, and they're not that obscure.

I test drove an R2 yesterday, and I really liked it. I know Android Auto isn't happening, and I could live with that if there was a YouTube Music app. Spotify crushes the streaming music space with three-quarters of a billion subscribers, but YouTube Music is actually second, with 125 million. Apple Music is third with 108 million. I really don't want to pay for another subscription. How realistic is it to hope for Rivian to add a YTMusic app?

I went through all top level comments of a post https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/Rt1UVCN4Oj that asked "If every dive watch cost the same, what would you choose?" This was apparently an interesting question, as it got almost 200 upvotes and nearly 500 comments. If someone mentioned more than one brand, I went with the one they put first. The OP biased the results by putting 4 pictures, and most people apparently took that to mean out of those 4, but in fact the question was for any diver. Still, the Blancpain 50 Fathoms passed the Longines Hydroconquest for 3rd place. Note that I grouped by model, which is at times difficult. If someone said "The SMP300, but on a rubber strap," or "NTTD," that went toward the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M. This gets fuzzy with the 50 Fathoms Bathyscaphe, the Rolex Sea Dweller Deepsea, the Breitling Superocean Heritage, etc. At any rate, there were 303 votes:

The large gaskets on the rear doors of my 2022 GT-Line have been giving me problems, particularly on the passenger side. Someone will go to close the door, and doesn't shut right, at which point they realize the gasket has come partially off. I got both gaskets replaced today, and the shop asked me if I knew if this was a problem other people were having. I decided to ask if anyone else has encountered this issue. Thanks.
