wonder if two 240 slim rads with a 9950X3D in the custom loop will yield any significant cooling lol. Regardless I’m very excised for this release.

Finally can rest easy that my 5090FE won’t melt on me. Set some aggressive shut off parameters and undervolted the 5090. Had to modify the ZCOOI vented front panel to get it to fit and designed a 3D printed bracket to secure it. It’s probably an eye sore to some but I’m willing to sacrifice asthetics for added peace of mind. Care more about portability and form factor so as long as it was neat and tidy to some extent Im okay with it.

Final mod went onto the build today. Hoping they restock their 15mm riser so i can replace the ABS-GF one I have though. Flipped 5090 now has better airflow and seen a decent drop in temps. At 5k2k ultra settings my GPU was getting to 74C avg in gaming with max at 76C. Now it’s at 71C avg and 74C max. Didn’t run any senthetic benchmarks since I could care less about that I prefer real gaming data since that’s what I mainly use my PC for.

As we all know, the OEM Charger is a brick! Someone had suggested this in another post and I wanted something with a smaller footprint since I bring my razer cooling pad in my backpack. Wow this thing is very premium feeling, the cables are nice and to top it off it comes in this case! When not gaming, you can plug your other devices into the 2 extra USB-C ports (240w is split when not fully utilized).

after a few hours of tuning settings, messing around with the foam seals for the razer cooling pad, and messing around with load order for ROT I’m ready. CPU temps fluctuate a lot but at 2300RPM (wearing headphones) the CPU range is 68-83C. Occasional spikes to 92C. (PL1:45w PL2:60w) GPU hovered in the mid to high 70. This is an open box purchase so I think I’ll probably do PTM swap or better LM reapplication. OLED is very nice, 240hz is so smooth. Got a SlimQ charger since I want to be as portable as possible. Everything fit into my old backpack.

Now to turn off the overlay and enjoy my laptop.

finished my custom loop a few days ago and was able to fit 4 NF-A12X25s on my slim rad. this was due to the XSPC crossflow rad being a bit too wide to close my AIO cover. so i had to improvise and 3D print a 15mm extension. this left like 27mm on top of the rad free to use. i had a G1 set of chromax NF-A12X25s laying around so i added them for more airflow so i could run them at super low RPMs. this worked great but i could perceive significant turbulence despite running them low. now i got these slim noctuas in and it’s gone. same fan curve and temps are the same… with hindsight i should have gone with the Alphacool ST30 crossflow but it was out of stock and would take awhile to arrive from some websites.

so about a month ago i decided to start planning my custom loop. honestly i was itching to tinker with my build and a custom loop for my 9950X3D seemed like a worthy challenge. all the research didnt prepare me for how tedious this was going to be. after many set backs, head scratching and improvising i finally finished.

Crossflow Rad was too wide and my AIO cover would not sit down properly. printed an extender that added an additional 15mm, with that i was able to initially add an old pair of NF-A12x25s which fit and allowed the AIO cover to sit down but they weighed down the rad which caused the bottom fan above PSU to hit the GPU cable comb. got slim noctuas and that fixed everything and reduced the turbulence that i noticed.

at this point in pretty sure this case with all the DLC/mods is closer to 15-16L but i don’t care it’s still SFF right? lol

PSA there is no way to fit the wireview pro yet, got the ZCOOI vented front panel so maybe that will allow some creative ways to mount/use it.

need to figure out if i can run a coolant temp sensor on one of the other ports, if not i’ll have to use another one that fits onto the 90 fitting.

running this as flipped for the GPU posed problems for the quick disconnect fitting. had to route the tubing for it on the MOBO side.

just waiting on the Zcooi grill front panel with 92mm fan inserts… i’m too hyped.

Good day all! i built this SFF PC for my wife who enjoyed it for maybe 2-3 weeks until she beat her stardew valley run and then lost interest in PC gaming. (sigh i tried) i’m aware that alot of people are looking to get into PC gaming but the market is just awful with everyone trying to offload their spare ram kits or NVMEs for a profit so i need help trying to price this reasonably.

5070Ti is in a weird spot since it can handle 4K gaming decently but i don’t want to be misleading like a bunch of other listings claiming “4k ready”. in games like Grayzone warfare i’m getting stable 120-150 FPS and very good noise levels/GPU temps. the intel CPU is not META but handles everything very well. 1000w PSU is nice for upgrade path in the future.

I’m not in a rush to sell but this is literally just sitting in a spare room so i’d like to get it off my hands at some point.

Aesthetics aside, its a beast set up. can’t wait to fully go all out and make its final resting spot nice and clean but for now this will do.

Box came messed up smh. thanks amazon. but fans were intact. added the 5mm spacer to reduce turbulence further. these bad boys are dead quiet and run them at 70% under full load. i have a noisey HVAC unit and when i game it kicks on so i can barley hear the system over. Just waiting for my wired WVP 2 to arrive and then mess around with its placement so i have it visible, probably to the left of PSU. been learning CAD/Fusion and with my 3D scanner thinking about making some kind of bracket so it can mount securely. so much fun in store!!
