how good is xfinity cell service compared to the major carriers? i travel a lot around the usa.

Never thought I would love the packaging of a printer. I just bought the Brother laser printer model HL-L3280CDW. This printer weights 43 lbs. That is heavy. What's great about the packaging is that inside the box, the printer sits inside a plastic bag with handles. To lift this heavy printer out of the box you just grab the handles on the bag and lift. It was so easy (well heavy but still easy) compared to having to reach under the printer and try and lift it out of the box. Genius. Next post will be me filming me throwing my HP laser printer out my second floor window. Also this printer was easy to setup. I plugged in my network cable and just went into widows to add the printer. All drivers were installed automatically by windows. Just great.

In the USA, a criminal can be found to "not be competent" to stand try. From my limited understanding, that person may then receive psychiatric treatment until they can be found competent to stand trial. They can then be found guilty or innocent of the crime they are charged with.

I read an article this week about a man who murdered two men with an ax. He has been found to be not competent to stand trial over 6 times. The prosecutors have given up trying to try him and are going to see if he can be placed in a psychiatric hospital I guess permanently.

My question is, if you are not competent to stand trial, how can you then be found guilty of your crime at a later date? If you are not competent when you commit the crime is that not similar to being criminally insane? I do want to make the point, I am not referring to someone who committed a crime and has sat in prison for years awaiting trial or been in hiding for years and then finally is brought to trial.

The man I am referring to was arrested shortly after committing the crime. Here is excerpt from the article (note this article does not mention the multiple attempts at finding him competent, that was in another article):

A King County Superior Court judge dismissed two first-degree murder charges Thursday against a Seattle man accused of killing two men with an ax in separate attacks after finding him mentally incompetent to stand trial.

Judge Nelson Lee found Liam Harrison Kryger incompetent based on medical reports and dismissed the criminal case during a brief hearing Thursday. Lee also signed an order directing Kryger to undergo a civil commitment evaluation.

Hi, I just reimaged my Surface Pro 11 and then installed Opera web browser. I started getting notifications from allaboutfinance.org. I have never gone to this site and find it odd after a new install I'm getting notifications from this site. Before reimaging my computer I had been using Opera and never got notifications from this site. I find this very odd. Anyone have thoughts on this?

My pc got infected with Win32/Suweezy. Its old but somehow Windows Defender didn't block it. I've had some struggles getting rid of it and may have to reinstall Windows. When I noticed it, I checked defender and saw that it had blocked it or quarentined it twice this week. I scanned and found it again. Removed it and a short while later it reinstalled itself. I did some full offline scans and caught more. Finally after trying to delete excluded files/folders it installed, I may have finally cleaned my pc. Time will tell. I think I got it when I went to install CrystalMarkDrive app. Read on here someone else got burned installing that app.

I find it odd that Windows 11 recommends the display setting of 2880x1920 when that option makes the font size in MS Outlook and File explorer so small its almost impossible to read the text. I only use that setting when my Pro is connected to a large external display. When I am using the Pro LCD I have to set it to 1920x1280 to make those two apps readable. I have not been able to find any setting option which corrects this problem. No changing app fonts does not work for Outlook and File Explorer.

Yesterday I went to smoke 4 big racks of St Louis ribs. Shortly after putting them in, the power went out. It was only out for 1-2 mins but it means I have to restart the smoker. Well the power kept going off all afternoon. I wanted to hit the lake so ended up moving the ribs to the oven which my dad could restart after each power failure. I'm up in NH. The ribs turned out good but was a little disappointed by lack of smoke. Oh well. Today I'm smoking a 10 lbs brisket. Fingers crossed no power failures today. The power failures start in the afternoon so starting earlier.

There are two versions of the snapdragon elite chip. the X2E-88-100 and the X2E-80-100. Do we know which one is in the new 12th edition surface pro 13"

Hi, I recently installed an ultraloq on my front door. I programmed the finger print and repeatedly tested it without issue. I don't use my front door much but when I went to try out the finger print reader it failed repeatedly. Fortunately I had my key. I reprogrammed it and it worked fine with repeated testing. Not much point to a finger print reader if it just randomly fails. Great way to get locked out if you don't have you phone or keys. I did not program a pass key as I consider that a security risk.

Hi Folks, I recently got a Traeger 22 smoker. I'm wondering how many racks of baby back ribs can fit in this smoker? If I lay a full rack in it looks like only 2 would fit. If I cut the racks in half I could probably fit more? Any suggestions?

Hi, Surface Pro 11 with latest windows updates. Note I am not pressing the power button but instead selecting hibernate from on screen option that shows up when you select the windows button. When I select hibernate it shuts down instead. I've made no changes to my settings. this started the last few days. I've checked all the power related settings but nothing is incorrectly set.

Disable Fast Startup - was already disabled.

Verify Hibernate is Enabled - yes enabled

Look for drivers related to your power (e.g., Intel Management Engine Interface or ACPI Sleep Button). - my computer does not have either of these options.

Check Power Button and Lid Settings - is set to shut down.

Hi, I have the Traeger 22 which has a grill grate that just barely fits in my sink for cleaning. I want to get my dad a larger Traeger because we hold a lot of bbq's at his house. However I wonder how hard it is to clean. Its not like a gas grill where you can just crank the gas and burn off old food. What cleaning regimen do you use on these larger grill grates?

Traeger says the smokers can be used in the rain without protection. I don't have covered patio and it rains a lot in my city. I am new to Traeger. I will keep it covered when not in use but wondering how others have found using it while raining. Did you have any issues? I don't plan on smoking often in the rain but curious how it works. Obviously you need to keep the pellets dry.

Hi, I just got the Traeger 22. I've smoked ribs and one brisket. I am not getting a lot of smoke flavor. My brisket had a nice smoke ring and crust but didn't get much smoke flavor. I am using the Signature Blend pellets. I smoked the brisket and ribs at 250 for a bit and also 225. I have used a Cook Shack smoker for years and got a much stronger smoke taste. Am I doing something wrong, is it just the type of pellet? Normally with the cook shack I use hickory so may just go buy a bag of hickory pellets.

Prior to the two recent software updates, I had been able to adjust the NAS desktop resolution making the icons smaller and windows fit better. Now its reverted back to its original resolution and I cannot figure out how to zoom out and make the icons and window size smaller so they fit better. Anyone know how to change the resolution? I'm not positive but I recall just using CNTRL MINUS key to zoom out but that no longer works.

First time ever and been shipping for years. I shipped two packages to two different companies/addresses on the same day. Both contained Lithium batteries. The UPS store did not have their normal battery labels so they put on another type of one. I put my phone number on both of those labels as required. Shipped 2nd day air. I didn't check for delivery because I had selected notifications to let me know if any issues occurred during shipping. Two weeks go by and I find out neither package arrived. I check tracking and it says delayed and need documentation. Of course it does not tell me what documentation. UPS was not much help when I go them on the phone. They just told me to file a claim. So long story short, both packages were disposed of by UPS. No attempt to contact me no auto notifications that there was an issue. That's a loss of about $4K. I have to submit a invoice which of course does not exist because this was loaner gear. I work for giant corp and trying to get an invoice is next to impossible. So lesson learned...only use the two battery labels that UPS provides. If they don't have them, don't ship. For a contrast, my company usually ships me equipment and forgets to put my name and unit number on the package. The local Fedex office will always call me for the details and then deliver the next day. Oddly my phone number is always on those packages so they can at least call me.
