Where is this massive weight loss on Levo some rave about??

First off, I’m not being cynical and am sincerely happy - with all my heart - for those who attain positive, desired outcomes on Levo (and thyroid treatment in general)

Now my TSH has gone down to ~1 ish after some six months on Levo, which is a sign that medication is working.

But my body weight still won’t budge and remain stubbornly high. Granted, I’m not someone you’d consider obese at first glance, nevertheless I’m 8kg above my baseline weight of 80kg (175cm male). What I hate most about myself is the moon face

Question for the guys: Do / did you have gyno?

I’m aware that medication does not “cure” gyno. Often surgery is the only option - or in mild cases one can decide to live with it

Were you tested for prolactinoma / hyperprolactinemia?

I understand that being medicated for prolactinoma / hyperprolactinemia does not “cure” gyno.

I’m just wondering how frequent the causal link is between the two. Does having gyno often come hand in hand with having elevated prolactin levels?

Does it make sense to test Prolactin alone (without Estradiol)?

I’m on disability and could only afford one of both.

Found a lab where I could pay privately cause primary doc refuses to run further tests, claiming they’ve “done enough” for me

Can I (M36) safely preclude Prolactinoma if I have body and facial hair?

Can I (M36) safely preclude Prolactinoma if I have body and facial hair? I have mild gyno from being misdiagnosed with schizophrenia and put on Risperdal during puberty, but no nipple discharge. Libido and morning wood comes and goes, but maybe that has to do with stress

I’m already on Levo and trt (gel) through insurance

Primary doctor is refusing to do further tests and I can’t afford to go private

Hyrox kettlebells

Disclaimer: Not trolling here but genuinely curious

In my gym there are traditional (round) kettlebells as well as the Hyrox ones (square-ish looking).

Is the latter even appropriate for cleans? I imagine it’d hurt

Ravenous hunger on T3!

I (M36) begged my primary to prescribe me T3. They caved, with the caveat that I must pay out of pocket, because the public health insurance (in western Europe) only covers what is deemed “medically necessary”.

Took 10 mcg without splitting today. Does the ravenous hunger settle down with time?

Could I possibly benefit from T3?

I understand this is highly individual but could I possibly benefit from T3?

Like many others, I am left to fend for myself and be my own advocate for the sake of health. Results after three months on 75mcg Levo:

FT4 1,4 (0,8 - 2,0)
FT3 3,0 (2,2 - 5,4)
TSH 1,5 (0,3 - 3,6)
TPO 10 (0 - 60)

I definitely feel slight improvements on Levo alone, mainly less bloating and less tired (still have afternoon crash). Thing is, my libido is still dead (literally zero!) and drive & motivation level is low.

Still feel like a stranger after one year

The local church had me fill out the contact form one year ago and I’ve also spoken to the “persons in charge” multiple times at my own request.

One year later I’ve still yet to be contacted by anyone or invited to their small groups.

The only “warm greeting” I had was a lady asking if I’m from China and then went on to probe where I’m really/ originally from. Because it is outlandish for an Asian or Asian presenting person to come to an all-white German speaking church, perhaps like in a zoo. They aren’t interested in getting to know me as a person at all, they just wanna know what “species” I am. In any case it is tactless

I’m not giving up on Jesus, but I’ve given up on trying to integrate there. And no, it is not a matter of language barrier because I speak German at a native level.

I’m autistic so please go easy on me

Do you hate them?

I’m told that true healing is when you reach a place of neutrality. No hate and no love either. I’m not there yet

Not sure if I hate them, but the thoughts of them most certainly aren’t lovely

Does lab reference range matter? (TSH 1.5 after two months on 75mcg)

Latest bloodwork shows TSH 1.5 (reference range 0.3 - 3.6 mU/l) on 75mcg Levo. I’m just concerned that this TSH 1.5, whilst looking good on paper, is not reflective of the “real” value due to the narrow reference range.

Hope I’m making sense here. More importantly, I still don’t feel 100% yet, but there’s definitely been positive changes overall.

For comparison, two months ago it was TSH 4.03 (reference range 0.35-5.33 µIU/ml) after starting out on just 25mcg

Why did they have to abuse me?

I probably won’t understand why in this lifetime. I had it the worst among three siblings

Even now after almost a decade of NC I can very much imagine what their response will be. That the abuse is all in my head and there will be consequences for my lashing out

Hot take on dupes

There’s literally no reason to get dupes of mainstream designer fragrances - I’m talking the likes of BDC and Sauvage and anything under than say ~120$

I see people asking for fake checks on BDC etc. and wonder why not just get them brand new at discounters or reputable retailers, which can be found often enough for cheaper than retail price. I feel like that the savings compared to dupes / potential fakes is negligible.

Private lines are another story, however.
