Isn't this show basically this image but the inverse of it?

Every single man with a "non-hot" design gets eliminated super early and gets almost no focus.

To put an example the FVF merge. There's Tom, Sam and Spencer. Fanservice cash cows with pretty similar body types. And then there's Benji the goofy silly looking one that is mostly comic relief. Obviously he's not referred to as "The ugly one" though. I shall also mention there's a British Man, an American man and two Asian men specifically Thai and Japanese.

And then all the women have these wildly different designs representing many different body types and a lot more nationalities. Obviously there's more female characters so I kinda get that men get less rep that way unintentionally. But I don't think it should be that way.

And to those who tell me "Well but there are men with bigger body sizes and from many other nationalities" Yeah premerge boots who last 2 or 3 episodes. You're not supposed to care about Manu or Ernesto in the slightest they're meant to be forgotten cause they don't care about them.

The fact that the only men who make it far are the hot gay ones just feels so icky and objectifying. They don't care about the story they care about selling this cheap gay fanservice to the patreons.

And I'm the first one that fucking loves gay fanservice but even to me this shit feels like really corny pandering and I cringe so hard at it. It's just not delivered well and the circumstances surrounding it make it feel worse.

This show has regressed in so many ways. In season 1 yeah they had a big focus on Tom and Jake but Alec despite receiving no fanservice and being straight actually got a fleshed out character and personality and even left being a really well-liked character. The only other straight male character to reach merge without being eliminated Zaid who got basically no arc or focus and mostly left well-liked because he got a bullshit elimination and everyone else being that much worse. I'm not saying that straight male characters need more rep desperately but I also think going out of your way to add straight male characters and then make them invisible or leave very early every single time makes adding them redundant since at that point everyone will just know they're gonna be fodder. I for one guessed that Manu was gonna be eliminated as the 3rd boot when I looked at his design for the first time. Already went through that with Ted so I knew it was coming again.

On the topic of Zaid he's the only black man other than season 2 James not to be a first boot, Again not a very good look either.

Anyone else agree or disagree? I'd like to see other points of views.

THIS POST AND COMMENTS GENUINELY FUCKING TRIGGER ME!

WHAT FUCKING BELLY? MF IS BUILT LIKE A STICK!

"I love fat bitches" NO YOU FUCKING DON'T!

These people have no fucking self-awareness and need a goddamn reality check.

They're gonna be giving Jax a fucking eating disorder or some shit lmao.

It pisses me off specially cause I'm actually gay as fuck for big fat chunky men lmao. I'll give out as many examples so they can maybe understand that Jax is not fat and that there's actually fat characters who are super hot. (Image 5)

If you're into Jax idgaf I'm not the boss of you but at least don't be blatantly wrong about how they physically look.

This type of shit is why the TADC fandom is looked upon as a shitshow that not even the creator of the show likes.

u/justdanielagain — 15 days ago

Y'all should do this with SDRA2 Yuri lmao.

Also interesting to see that his name is a reference to this astronaut I had no idea about it lmao.

u/justdanielagain — 1 month ago

Returning to this old run now that I finally hatched a Iron Jugulis.

Back to back shinies heck yeah! And at least the second one I could instantly catch lmao.

Though this was my 81st run and now I'm on my 97th. So technically not back to back but idgaf.

Absolutely wrecked Eternatus with 5/6 pokemon alive too. (For me that's a lot lmao.)

u/justdanielagain — 1 month ago

Just realized you can't change Shedinja's tera type.

In hindsight it makes sense but it still kinda sucks.

Ruined my already small chances of only using Shedinja and Lurantis for Eternatus.

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Tops and bottoms of each disventure camp season.

Yup I did just improvise that second list right after reading the title of my post and realizing the accidental innuendo.

Do not take most of that list seriously btw lmao.

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Made a morality tier list and I think there may be some big hot takes on here.

Irredeemable people:

Basically anyone who has attempted to kill someone or has seriously risked someone's well-being.

You may be wondering what Grett is doing in this tier but VR challenge S1. And she was not aware that it was not real btw only Fiore and Alec knew.

Bad people:

Kinda self-explanatory they suck and they don't regret it.

Bad people who are trying to be better:

Also pretty self explanatory if you know their arcs. Though I feel like Alec was a bit too rushed he counts.

Anastasia tier: Girl just does not regret her actions. She dislocated Ivy's shoulder and did not regret it in the slightest. Then she picked Ivy to throw the return challenge and did not even apologize about either. There's so many things she does that she isn't called out for but the show acts like she's a really good person and like she has earned being this role model in FVF but she's not.

Kinda shitty: They've done one or two bad actions but overall aren't so bad. For example James manipulating Aiden early on in DC2, Ellie's slanderous interviews, Fiore burning Ashley and Nick's stuff. They get rightfully called out for these actions and try to be better. Eh well... Fiore doesn't try to be better but she has the excuse of being a child? I dunno besides that she didn't do anything too bad or personal.

A little shitty: People who've done some very minor bad or morally questionable action but are very good people overall. Miriam is the poster child for this one with her two faked heart attacks lmao.

Good people: Pretty self explanatory. They're good people with decent morals and don't often act out of malice.

Literal angels: Also pretty self explanatory. People who were either done dirty and they still acted like the better person or who have never done anything willingly malicious.

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

How I'd personally assign each character's sexuality.

A few of these kinda need explanations so:

Ally. I chose her to be Aro/Ace cause I wanted either her Hunter or Tess to be cause I think that would've been really funny to break up the love triangle. I like Huntess more than Huntally or Tessally so that's why I picked her.

Kristal. She'd still have her dating Derek plot but she'd call it off after realizing romance just isn't for her.

I also turned many straight characters such as: Ashley, Kai, Zaid and Ivy to bi cause I thought It'd be nice to have queer people in straight couples.

If y'all have any questions ask away!

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Can older characters have arcs of their own or can they only be premergers or supporting characters?

All of these characters have been premergers at least once with the sole exception of Richard. And with the exclusion of Miriam none of them get any depth or focus. Though Miriam still only gets it due to being tight with the writer's faves.

And even then he really only got the role of supporting character and he genuinely did nothing for himself and just played for Logan to win.

I'll share my thoughts on each one of them and if they really had no potential or had it misused.

Lill I think is a great character premerger but I also think she had potential to be the last one standing from her alliance. She definitely had potential to be a big threat to Fiore's game that is taken out early merge like in the beta.

She doesn't get invited to all stars despite having both a better game and a larger role than Ashley which to me was just kinda off-putting. I know Lill is very much non confrontational and rational which isn't that interesting but so is Ashley. I think Lill would've been just as good for all stars if not maybe even better. Seeing Lill end up with a dysfunctional alliance again and getting pissed off would've been gold.

By herself being the only older character besides Miriam in DC1 Lill is an ok character and a neat survivor reference there's nothing inherently wrong with her being out so early however following seasons kinda made a trend of having the older characters gone early and then looking back you notice that Lill kinda falls in the same umbrella as these characters.

Karol is quite literally just a Karen but she loves animals. That's her entire bit and personality. She actually drives a decent amount of drama and has some relevance but she also has minimal screentime. She's only there for Aiden and James to bond closer and for Riya to start playing like a villain.

Connor in DC2 is actually fine tbh. He gets a decently timed exit and short arc that is coherent enough. I'm not gonna complain about him being outlasted by Riya because not all old characters have to obligatorily get all the focus in the world.

Connor in AS ig is technically fine too but in here it feels like he's much more there for Riya to get increasingly villainous with every action rather than for Connor to actually become a better character.

Ted will forever be one of the most wasted characters. I genuinely wouldn't have minded if he left in the same place he left if he had a semi interesting arc or if his elimination was at least fun and had good strategy but it was the most boring votes ever with some of the worst strategies in disventure camp. It was painfully obvious he was being eliminated and it was all reasons that were completely unrelated to him. He's the character that leaves the most dissatisfied and that's really disappointing.

Lynda did not get that much more either ngl. Her eliminating Marissa and not Anastasia was a really fucking stupid twist. She had small redemption arc that showed her better qualities and a nice friendship with Richard but I feel like Lynda had big potential to reach the merge. It just felt like Anastasia defeated her big threat a tad bit too early and too easily.

Richard just pisses me off. I mean sure he made merge. But besides that? He had an unlikely friendship with Lynda but that was more about her. Otherwise he's the entire game in Logan's shadow and doesn't do anything to stick out.

Ernesto is just a recooked Amelie with an old man filter. I like him he's likable enough but we've already seen this darn arc!

Manu is kinda a questionable addition to this list since he doesn't even reach his 40s. He's kinda in the middle where he's not as old as any of these other characters but also nowhere near as young as the others. But I love to glaze my man and be pissed about his elimination.

I genuinely don't get why Aiden gets so fucking pissy at him. Manu was literally just being happy and bubbly and Aiden was gunning for him for no fucking reason.

Ok but besides that Manu genuinely just gets no arc. He barely gets focus in the first two eps besides the fact he carries his team on the challenge, he unexplicably flips to Aiden's side only to flip right back after instantly realizing that was an awful idea and then is promptly voted off.

Manu had so much fucking potential to have any sort of arc even as just a supporting character but they used none of it and made it painfully obvious they didn't gaf about him. Btw I dunno if you kept count but that's 3 plus sized older men who get out within the first 3 eliminations of their seasons.

Also side tangent but making him straight may be the worst choice they've ever made. Do you have any idea how much a bara man like him can sell? I may be slightly biased cause I find him to be super hot but I believe that I'm absolutely right regardless.

Anyways.

Evie is just a comedic relief character. At the very least she has a purpose but that's really bare minimum atp. Idk why they made her seem like such an important character by teasing her in TJ but whatevs. She's not as offensive as the others.

I know it may seem like I ignored Miriam but I actually wanted to save her for the end. Because she literally only gets the focus she gets and the chance to expand her arc because of Tom and Jake. Like unless an older character is heavily associated to the writer's pets they're not gonna get any focus same happens with Richard and Logan.

That's all I've to say so I wanna ask what are y'all's thoughts about this? Have you got any other conclusions or am I completely in the right for complaining about this?

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Attractiveness tier list I made as a Bi M.

Yeah I have a clear type lmao.

This tier list was kinda a struggle to make lmao I have some very conflicted opinions for whatever reason.

Ana was the most annoying character to place too cause I fucking hate her guts but it's undeniable that she's gorgeous. Too bad she's not as pretty on the inside despite the narrative trying to convince us she is at every turn.

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Let's face the truth. Disventure camp Fans vs Favorites is an absolute train-wreck of a season.

This season is absolutely trash in almost every single aspect.

Aubrey is the dumbest character ever. Having a character act like such an idiot and not even be funny while doing so is just lame.

Ernesto is just Amelie 2.0 I like him but his arc is almost completely the same thing + a tiny hint of Miriam.

Manu gets completely wasted for no reason. There's no reason for him to be out when there were so many storylines that you could make for him. I'd have way rathered have him as the swing vote instead of Oliwia or have him defend Bruno from Ara and Finn instead of having Lake defend him from Spencer He got Ted-ed as I expected though. He's too mature kind-hearted and cool for dunceventurecamp I guess. Anyways marry me Manu. Also I will always ignore the fact this dude is straight. Give me some fucking bara men Jared! I'm tired of the same boring ass twinks or muscular but thin guys.

Alec's arc is so rushed, so sloppy and just so unsatisfying. It simply was too few episodes for his arc to be finished up. It's one of my biggest complaints this season because they can make good arcs conceptually but they end up dragging them for too many episodes or making them so short that they feel rushed.

Finn actually is somewhat decent. But I can't get over his simping for Tom. While I sometimes found it really funny sometimes It was just so uncomfortable. I kinda liked him over Ara but whatevs guess Jared needs his random ass Yuri.

Anastasia is... Everything wrong with the season personified. I dunno why we're acting like she's some sort of perfect person when she's extremely flawed and hasn't actually showed any progression or improved on her flaws. Her "Development" is off-screen But it's almost like she literally cannot be critisized unless it's Nat or Isa and those two specially Nat get treated like idiots for hating/not trusting her. Her instantly jumping on eliminating Alec (Without knowing that he even was a target) was literally what eliminated her showing she learned nothing from last season. Had she allied with Alec and Fiore for even just a round or two she could've dominated.

Aiden genuinely only stayed for the musical. It's so fucking dumb. That genuinely drags the season down so much. His friendship with Evie was really sweet and I thought we were getting somewhere but then nope they're both gone. They made him be an absolute asshole specially to Manu who was literally just existing happily. They made him an absolute idiot strategically thinking that Evie had some advantage but not asking her to show it. I don't even know why he chose to eliminate Ernesto who absolutely could have helped with the challenges unlike "miss advantage". I also hate how obviously petty insecure and mean spirited he became this season cause that's not really like Aiden or at least it shouldn't be after his development. This season really undermines everything Aiden went through cause now I feel like I was rooting for a paranoid asshole.

Evie was very much dead in the water after getting Aiden out. I guess she was funny once or twice. Specially when she was with Alec but otherwise she's just cheap fodder and overstayed her welcome. I hate that pretty much her only purpose besides being comedic relief was eliminating Aiden.

Benji was just a total mess. I get what they were going for but I feel like his arc is just kinda random. It very much ended up backfiring and making everyone hate Benji because he became genuinely unlikable. He ended on a very sour note too but honestly I feel like that's fine because he and Ally genuinely got paired up and ended up completely in the background. I don't even know how you can make the swing votes be so uninteresting.

Bruno is 13 years old. You cannot change my mind. His arc is so corny. "ShUt uP sPeNcEr". He had basically no personality besides fawning over the other favourites and genuinely excused every single vote he had with "Spencer told me". Get a fucking spine!

I do think that the people who are still in are overall a bit better though. Not that good anyways.

Ally has actually just done nothing besides do strategy. She has completely fallen to the background and is just not compelling. Do we really need more Ally anyways? I deadass think she peaked in S2 beta at least the "Thank you, I'm going there" line was funny.

Sam has kinda got the same problem as Ally but to a somewhat lesser extent. He at least has some screentime and has a few elements that make him interesting. He also doesn't have 2 other seasons of being a nothingburger so I guess that helps. Sam still has a bit of potential so I'm hoping it's used.

Oliwia however has no potential to do anything good. What the fuck is this Ronald McDonald lookalike thing? She's the most annoying character ever because she's just made to be that way. I have no fucking clue what her logic is supposed to be but I'm really REALLY hoping it doesn't last long. Unfortunately for me however I think she's gonna eliminate:

Dunia. Either she gets out or Nura gets Ren out. And that's a pretty big bummer cause I really actually like Dunia. She's just a pleasant character. She's heroic but not completely boring despite not being really complex. I dunno how to explain it but I guess I just like her. Either way she's gonna get screwed in an unsatisfying way probably.

Ren. Since I already mentioned em I may as well talk about them now. They're objectively the best fan imo and subjectively my 2nd fave behind Manu. They're sweet, kind, funny and very charming. I loved their scenes with Ernesto, Dunia and even others like Manu or Sam. They're very decent strategically but also have a very kind heart. Too bad his kind heart backfired and got him stuck with Ewliwia.

Nura. I have no clue what they're going for with her. She has a lot of potential to end up as the biggest villain or as the biggest hero. I think either one can actually end up pretty well. She is probably my prediction for the winner as a lot of people really wanted to see the winner be someone who needs the money. I also think her first few eps she was being hilarious and y'all just have no sense of humor lmao. Anyways I do think that her love triangle with Ara and Dunia drags her down. The plot relevant romances in disventure camp tend to just be so messy and drag the characters down so much. Also girl has probably got the worst communication issues out of anyone in this show. And that's mighty impressive. She'll literally just sigh and feel incredibly misunderstood and be all angsty while Dunia or Ren are just looking at her wondering what's up with her and she expects them to know.

Ara. Since I'm talking about romance and being messy we should talk about her. She just sucked for the early eps so badly. At the very least Finn was doing some things being messy and sipping for Tom but Ara actually did nothing besides be an asshole. She's very much interchangeable with him and she literally could've been eliminated in the exact same way as her treatment of Oliwia was on par with Finn's. Pretty much only stayed for the Yuri. The worst part is that she showed she had the capability of acting social and playing the game but just chose not to until her number 1 ally got out.

Tom. ... Honestly not that much to say about him. It's clear he's a writer's pet with the way he got some rando simping for him off the bat. He still acts like a hypocrite to Nat and honestly he really hasn't done anything too interesting for himself. I also hate they chose him for the tie-breaker specifically it was so obvious it wasn't gonna be him so it just dragged out Alec's elimination and the challenge wasn't really that interesting.

Gabby. I love Gabby but she's not really giving me that much this season. She's not that funny anymore and her same insecurities are showing through. I think she's a character that has already been spent and I'd be fine with only seeing her in small cameos or spin-offs.

Natalia is the saving grace of this season along with Ren. She's so funny and she deserved a lot better last season. She was right in pretty much every action she has taken this season. In Natalia's case the ends really justify the means. She's the only one bringing interesting drama in too. Definitely my favorite favorite.

Rosa. I like her quite a bit. I didn't like her interactions with Anastasia as she barely met her and she was quite literally inviting her to be part of her family. She's pretty much perfect outside of that. She's the perfect character to have confront Natalia.

Spencer. I don't like that he came in saying that he was gonna keep a low profile and he literally just played a big move that puts a giant target on his back just like he would do in COC. However besides that incident he's overall decent and I adore his interactions with Rosa. He's making the same mistakes which I don't like but he's still interesting and making drama happen.

Fiore. I think FVF Fiore is nice and has decent potential for a deep run. I really like her interactions with both Natalia and Ren. I'm glad that she's making it far again while having to adapt to new strategies and allying with new people. I do think she's not getting enough screentime though.

Lake. I think Lake has kinda fallen off. I don't get exactly what they're going with her. I liked Lake a lot in DC2 and I feel like bringing her back and not giving her any sort of storyline is lame. The only thing they've been able to give her was that bullshit thing with Bruno and Spencer. Lake just reacted to everything so weirdly it could've been handled with care but I don't think it was. It's basically another rushed storyline and I don't know what she has going for her after it. I'd have rathered having Lake not return after All-Stars than see her be done dirty.

If you enjoy this season then I'm more than glad for you and you shouldn't stop just because of what I think but I really want to air out my thoughts and opinions cause it's just very upsetting that the writing is so weak. I feel like the weak points of S1 and S2 just got far more accentuated with every following season. I don't have high hopes for the rest of the season anyways. This is probably gonna end up like All stars where I was rooting for Jake despite really not liking him and in a worse scenario like COC where I was actually rooting for no one.

Well to finish on a high note at least I got Manu lmao. He may be an idiot but I love him. He's my idiot so back off! Go get that return challenge and win honey!

Oh yeah I forgot that someone will return till I said that. Like who even has a decent shot at returning that is gonna be likable fun and has enough plot relevance? Maybe Benji but that kinda undoes Ally's "Development". My man Manu has no shot after Bruno's elimination lmao.

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Dunno if this is just a wild coincidence or an intended reference but Tony Vlachos' wife is named Marissa and his daughter is named Anastasia.

For those who don't know him Tony is a survivor player from seasons Cagayan, Game changers and >!Winners at war!<

Also known for>!Being the second two time winner after winning Cagayan and Winners at wars.!<

I know Anastasia and Marissa are just two names but like I dunno. There's a ton of survivor refs in disventure camp.

u/justdanielagain — 2 months ago

Interesting thing I kinda noticed with all the eliminations of COC and FVF.

They all parallel each other. Like a bit too much right?

You may think that I'm crazy and that's not completely wrong but really hear me out on this.

1 Alessio and Aubrey.

Alessio and Aubrey both do some genuinely stupid plays and get eliminated as a result. Alessio begins the game by instantly ostracizing himself from the group. He barely even went to actually play. I do feel like he'd have been screwed by the girl's alliance either way but maybe the target would've fallen on someone else had he not acted so antisocially.

Aubrey actually seemed normal at first and then well we had the scorpion incident. This was really kinda similar to the way Alessio voted for Ted for some reason where they just kinda picked someone for a really stupid reason.

Wanna know what else they have in common? They're both friends with a ginger dumbass who won't stop flipping.

2 Amelie and Ernesto.

Ok because why is Ernesto basically just Amelie 2? He's basically a much less standoffish Amelie with a bit of Miriam mixed in. I'd like to hear an actual difference between these two's arc besides Amelie returning (She barely did shit anyways)

They're the typical grumpy arrogant who are helped to open up and stop being so grumpy by one of their nicer teammates.

3 Ted and Manu.

The disappointment in my face once these two were the 3rd boots and they got basically nothing. I was not shocked, not surprised, not even mad. Well actually that last one is a lie I was fucking pissed off.

Ok but to actually get into it:

No arc and decently interesting interactions that just don't get expanded on.

Both are voted off by the aforementioned dumbass gingers mentioned and more specifically because they are manipulated and flip to the other side.

Potential bara men and they're both fucking straight. FU Jared.

Also I feel like these two were for whatever reason the butt of the joke or treated as the butt of the joke and as cringy/annoying by the show when they were generally normal most of the time. It's subtle but you can definitely notice it.

4 Diego and Alec Finn (Let's forget about Alec for a bit. It all falls into place if we ignore him.)

Ok so off the bat these two are the new gay men placed front and center and are seemingly are gonna be really important but then are booted early.

These two simp for Jared's gay boytoy of the season. Finn very overtly simps for Tom and Diego makes it really damn obvious that he likes Spencer... for some reason? (Can someone remind me again of why Diego was all over Spencer? I genuinely feel like there was no reason for Diego liking him that much)

These two are pretty much just the sub-boytoys for Jared he's gonna be getting that quick fanservice and then discarding them to actually give others arcs.

5 Tristan and Anastasia.

This is the de-facto most popular player gets eliminated by the villain of the season and the villain has a huge target put on their back.

Anastasia and Tristan were both in the middle of two alliances. Tristan was tight with Hannah and Benji and the vibe tribe while Anastasia was tight with Lake and Rosa and Gabby and Tom.

This one is supposed to be the elimination that is kinda sad and breaks certain character dynamics and causes further divide between the alliances.

It's also the one that inspires the nicest girls of the teams Hannah and Rosa to be overtly petty about the loss of their ally and gun for the villain and also to have a revelation and want to start playing instantly telling their ride or dies that they need to stop being so passive and begin to play.

6 and 7 Marissa and Aiden and Lynda and Evie.

These two eliminations are a package deal.

The older blonde lady eliminates their closest ally after they spend the last few eps bonding and then gets eliminated right after.

It's as simple as that. There aren't that many other parallels for these two but that's plenty imo.

8 Ivy and Benji.

At first I thought that there were genuinely no connections between these two but I did my best.

The biggest one is that these eliminations are both caused by alliances being fractured. Jade and Nat are the big targets but certain people want them around and choose to betray their ally for them.

They're the ones who are actually doing things out of their main pair who has done either nothing or purely strategic moves during the premerge.( I don't doubt that Ally will be just as boring and unimpactful as Zaid but I obviously can't really confirm that you're fully free to ignore this)

That's about it.

So obviously not every single elimination is a perfect parallel (Specially if we don't ignore Alec lmaooo) however it's clear that the stereotypes are being repeated and it's basically a story of how long till they get boring?

I genuinely love disventure camp but atp it genuinely feels like unless the character is unreasonably favoured by the narrative they're gonna be an early boot.

Soon enough I'm gonna be making a few more posts diving deep on my interpretation of why the writers have such favoritism and why certain characters get shafted while others just keep going through the game while making some of the most awful moves ever and still winning (Logan, Anastasia, Oliwia etc)

And btw while I love DC1 and DC2 some of this favoritism really shows through in them for many characters. But I'm getting ahead of myself

This post isn't supposed to instill negativity or even necessarily critique the writing (Except the moments where it's blatantly obvious and I also have actual critique posts in the making.) but I do wanna see people's general opinions on these.

Are these just coincidences or are these clearly part of some sort of system of stereotypes the writers are going to run dry?

I made a bunch of tetro characters as miis in LTD so I still can enjoy the characters.

Thoughts?

I might add Kamimura Hasegawa Tsuno Denden Isoda and Hirose in the future but I'm not too sure.

u/justdanielagain — 3 months ago

Bored so I made the trend too. Thoughts?

Btw I also wanted to put Vanilluxe in Idk why I like this and Coalossal in Has a personal story behind it.

Full disventure camp tier list + my thoughts on every character. Spoilers in text!

S tier:

Ellie: She's complex, flawed and genuinely interesting. All stars did not do her justice but she was still generally entertaining to me.

Alec: Same reasons as Ellie. The narrative calls him out in many moments that it's seriously unwarranted though.

Rosa: I tend to like characters who are nice, fair and don't act like hypocrites. Rosa is just that. I like how everything about her. Except how awfully she's been playing in FVF.

Gabby: She's just fun to watch. She's funny silly and makes interesting drama. She was a bit annoying to me in S1 though with her constant bickering with Dan and her elimination in S3 was bullshit. I also really disliked her friendship with Anastasia for a multitude of reasons.

Fiore: How can you not like Fiore? From the first moment you just know she's gonna be interesting and stir up a ton of shit. One of the best handled villains ever.

Manu: Ok maybe I just think that he's really hot. Yeah that's about it. Just kidding he was done dirty did not get nearly enough screentime. He was treated like shit for no reason by Aiden Ara and Finn and he was still generally positive and unproblematic. Hope he returns. His flip was dumb tho it was pretty infuriating.

Miriam: Just a perfect winner tbh. She really showed us she knew how to play. Her arc again is one of the best any DC character has had. Her stay in all-stars was short but super impactful.

A tier:

Tess: I honestly really liked Tess' arc of getting better. Her friendships with Ally and Hunter were super sweet. I'd have liked to see her branch out a bit though.

Lill: I just like a character who is mature unproblematic and pleasant. She may be a bit boring or lack the depth that some others have but she's just nice to see.

Ivy: If you hate this character there's a 75 percent chance you're genuinely an idiot. This is one of the most wasted characters in the whole series. Shouldn't have been a pre merger for sure. She was very messy but she was always trying a ton of different strats or trying to prove herself. Unlike Zaid Ivy actually did things.

(Ok by this point I've been writing for like 30 minutes so I think I'm gonna skip a bunch of characters cause otherwise I'm gonna be here forever)

Ren and Dunia: Again I like generally unproblematic characters that are nice. These two have a good shot of being really interesting too. Ren's friendship with Fiore is also just amazing.

Natalia: She didn't get anywhere near enough spotlight in her season so I'm really glad that she's getting shit done in FVF

Ted: Just missed potential. I love his personality he's goofy but also sorta smart.

Lynda: There's two women who did not merge in DC4 and they're just the best ones. Lynda was a fucking hurricane causing chaos everywhere she went. But she was also nice deep down. She's complex but also well written. Genuinely wish she made it farther.

Aiden: Would be S tier if he wasn't such an ass to Manu. He also has just been kept around for the musical and that's dumb.

B tier:

Spencer: The amount of hate this man receives in universe is giga unwarranted. Like yeah he's an asshole but they're so damn petty towards him.

Logan: His writing is shit but to me almost everyone in this season besides Ivy, Lynda Alessio and maybe Tristan had awful writing. He was at the very least bearable to me.

Connor: Great character in S2. Horrendous in S3. Could be far higher but damn that season really soured my love for Connor.

C tier:

Benji and Hannah. I really liked these two in the premerge but post merge Hannah is just so petty to everyone for everything. Girl was genuinely acting like people were dying. It may be cause she has abandonment issues but the show doesn't really get into that. Her calling out Zaid for eliminating Benji when she and Benji betrayed Zaid first and eliminated Ivy was such bullshit. When it comes to Benji you probably guessed it. It's about FVF. He has become utterly useless. He and Ally have gotten basically no focus.

Marissa: This is a character who I would love to place higher but she's probably the most mishandled character in the entire COC season. She just falls behind Anastasia's shadow and is an extra vote for Anastasia the whole show. Her return isn't for herself it's for Anastasia. Her eliminations are barely about her they're about Anastasia. She just fails to bring anything to anyone who isn't Anastasia. And she doesn't really contribute to Anastasia's arc. I really liked that they had clashing gameplay style and that could have brought some very interesting dynamics and arcs but instead she's reduced to a shell of a character. I also find it infuriating that both Lynda and Isabel had perfect opportunities to eliminate Anastasia but just chose not to because of Marissa.

D tier:

Diego: His feelings for Spencer are just so forced. He barely met the guy and he was instantly in love with him. It just felt weird. I'm not saying that he's a perv like some idiots do but his arc is just so forced. It'd have worked better if he knew Spencer from outside the game and genuinely liked him for a while. That'd have explained such big romantic feelings.

Grett: Queen in S1 absolutely abysmal in S3. She's kept inside the game only because of the villain's alliance and it's just not fun to see her be constantly abused. She stays for way too many episodes and starts her arc insanely late into the season. When her arc could probably have been wrapped up in the pre merge. She also is just a fucking hypocrite. She shames Alec for not doing enough to help her when Yul mistreated her when she saw Riya mistreat Connor multiple times and did nothing about it. You could say that it wasn't Grett's business to get in Connor's relationship but you could say the exact same thing for Alec.

Ally: Yeah this is about the bear. How can we seriously pretend this girl is a good person when she left someone to die? Barely any actual depth disappears for episodes at a time and her elimination is kinda bullshit.

Yul: I don't like Yul because he's just a tad bit too openly shitty but honestly in S2 I at the very least could respect him for his decent gameplay. In S3 however he was just carried to the merge by the villain's alliance. And he began to act like too much of an asshole. Even for Yul standards.

Aubrey: Fuck this Pahkitew ass character. I genuinely am convinced people only like her for her design or because she's so stupid it's almost funny.

F tier:

Anastasia: This show is seriously afraid of calling out Anastasia. She's openly an asshole and antagonistic and treats people she simply dislikes like shit. And people keep on acting like she's a really nice person. She almost could be decent but her "development" is all off-screen and I really don't care about that.

Oliwia: This girl is just annoying. Another pahkitew ass character. Her arc is the dumbest thing ever I'm really hoping Ren gets fed up and eliminates her soon.

Riya: I feel as though I don't need to say anything cause it's all been said before. So I'll just say: Sad face after committing atrocities ≠ Being complex.
