Someone Removed their Votes?

I don't feel bad about it because people can do that if they want.

I'm just a little astounded to see the decreased votes this morning. 😅 Since my first posting of the story last May, it's my first time to experience such situation.

Feeling the feels

I just posted my seventh chapter, and I feel great about my progress despite the low number of reads (yet- hopefully).

To the writers here, do you also have this feeling when you feel so good about the thing you are writing, you can't stop doing it?

Childhood Memories

I saw a post here on reddit. A dad bringing his son at a coffee shop before school everyday. It's simple, nothing too fancy, but the pictures of the kid with his happy smile says it's all. It is a good core memory.

It got me thinking of my own childhood memories. I can’t think of a happy one. Maybe there is, but the bad ones are more vivid. There are not that bad, compare to others where real bad things happen (I am not comparing). But they were not happy either.

Everytime I think of it, all can remember are the times my mom lockwd me in the bathroom or pushed me towards a cockroach in the bathroom. I can remember the scratches I got. The way I cried. I was probably 6 or 7.

I can remember the time they locked me out in the house for something that I can’t remember. I think, nag-away kami ng sister ko. I can remember thinking what if I walk off the road, away from the house. I never did. I wished I did try to walk off. I am also around 6 or 7.

I can also remember all the times na napalo or napagalitan ako for something that I can’t remember.

Then growing up, I can remember trying my best not to make a mistake. To please them, just to have them on my side. Para ako naman yung favorite. I can remember working hard to be good at school, and to always try my best.

Now, I am 26 and still not happy. I don't know how to live a happy life. I feel like my life is not mine.

And I found myself crying as I type this. I was fine, then I saw that post that it warmed my heart so much I wished i could do that too to my future kids. But I don't even know if I wanted kids.

I not trying to talk shit about my parents. I know they meant well. I know they did what they thought was right. They tried their best. But it doesn't mean that it was okay.

New Book Cover

I am not an artsy person, but I am so pleased with the book cover that I made (thanks to Canva) for my book that I just want to share it.

Anyone looking for an 18+ (Mature Rated) Romance Story?

I am tempted to suggest my book on the comments of some posts here, but I worry that the Poster might be below 18 years old or they are just simply not into the genre. So, let me reverse it and try it this way.

If you are looking for such book, I would like to suggest my book to try.

Promoting My First Wattpad Story: The Roommate (18+)

I am doing a thing... char! Hello, fellow Wattpaders. Allow me to promote this book that I just started.

I've been on Wattpad since 2013, and a little later after that I started aiming to publish a book but I never had the time until now. Hope you can check it out!

---

Title: The Roommate

Language: English

Rating: Mature

Status: Ongoing

Description: Sage is getting tired being the talk of topic within her friend group. But unlike her hook up-happy and sexually active friends, she refuses to settle for a meaningless one-night stand to satisfy her needs.

When her drunk friends suggest the ultimate taboo in her book - asking her gorgeous roommate and childhood friend, Jakob, to help her "situation" - Sage dismisses it.

It's a terrible idea. It's an unspoken rule of roommate etiquette.

But once the dynamic shifts, the tension in their shared apartment becomes impossible to ignore.

Crossing the line could ruin their lifelong friendship... or it could be exactly what they've both been looking for.

To the Wattpad Pinoy readers in you, what do you prefer reading on Wattpad these days - TagLish stories, English stories, or Filipino stories?

Just out of curiosity, no explanation needed.

When I was a teenager, more on Taglish and binabasa ko but it's more on English these days. I never read a pure Filipino Wattpad story.

Starting the Journey

I have always wanted to write and get published, and that's the journey that I am trying to do now. First step is, of course, creating the manuscript, and that's what I am doing.

Aside from this, I also started using the platform Wattpad to write side-stuff (a story / stories that is not yet my main story) to build readership. Of course, this alone will not lead me to that path, but I hope that it'll help later on.

I really want to be a published author, and I'll work on that.

And the genre is in romance soooo it is daunting since the genre is so saturated, but my niche is here so I will go for it.

The Roommate - Katherine George - Wattpad

This is not my first book, but this is my first book to be posted on Wattpad. My actual first book is still in the works. While preparing it, this story came to mind. I feel bad not to actualize it because it does represent a piece of me.

A few chapters are already posted and will try to update every week - Saturdays. Hope you may visit and take a look.

It will be much appreciated. And hope you enjoy it 😄

For Writers: What is your take on naming chapters?

I recently saw a post on naming chapters. I generally prefer naming them as Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three, Chapter Four... so on. But in your opinion, is it better to provide chapter title?

If I'm my current chapter will have titles, they'll be:

  • Chapter One: Study Session
  • Chapter Two: The Apartment
  • Chapter Three: Beginning
