I’m scared that I’m becoming diabetic!

My GI has had me tracking my blood sugar as my A1C has been high. Well my numbers are almost never under 120 even after not eating for 12 hours. They have even spiked up to 300+ with my average being right around 220 even with low carb and sugar intake.
I’m scared that no mater what I do it’s inevitable at this point. If anyone has been through getting diagnosed with type 3c diabetes I’d love to hear your journey and if you were able to keep your pancreas as I have heard that removing it is common at this point if it’s painful (which mine is).
I’d rather keep it if I can. Thank you in advance for sharing your stories to those that do.

F 45 ex smoker 5foot four inches. 109 lbs. Have chronic pancreatitis ptlds fatty liver disease chronic fatigue depression and am on a list of meds far too long to list here.

I broke my back a few months ago fast forward to now I’m burning it at both ends taking care of my mother in law who was recently diagnosed with stage three cancer.
Anyway we are passing a cold (respiratory) back and forth and I was recently told to monitor my blood sugar levels. Well they haven’t been below 120 in a week even when I don’t eat or drink . Highest was 265. Could the respiratory cold be messing with the sugar levels? Should I let my doctor know? Should I be concerned? I don’t really have much time for appointments for myself as my mother has so many at the moment and I don’t want to waste time on trivial things for me .

I feel like I’m a horrible person

I’m a full time live in caregiver for a parent in law and the pets. I do the cooking the cleaning and the caregiver duties for the patient the pets and the three adult children one of whom is my spouse.
I have medical issues of my own including but not limited to a broken back and chronic lymes disease. My parent in laws diagnosis is new and I feel like I’m already burnt out and we just had round one of 6 of chemo.
I feel like I’m an awful person for just wanting 5 mins of me time . My back is killing me im so tired I have a cough that won’t quit and I just feel drained and like I’m losing my mind already. Why? What right do I have to complain? I’m not the one with cancer?
Do any other care givers deal with this?

Physical Therapist said to another client that with Lyme disease at least you can take antibiotics and be over it

Yep you heard that right! As she was working on another patient I over heard her tell him that (he has what I assume is a neck injury).
I missed how their conversation started but that’s what she told him. How the heck does a physical therapist not know that Lyme disease can have life long lasting affects? Like WTH I was shocked!
I really wanted to educate the lady but didn’t want to be a “Karen” so I think I’ll ask my doctor for an educational poster and ask PT if I can hang it up.

Does this look like a tick bite?

I haven’t known a tick to leave a hole like this… what are y’all’s opinions? I’m rather concerned. Should antibiotics be administered? Should I be concerned?

Physical therapy

Did my first round of physical therapy post broken back (L2 compression fracture) yesterday and now today and all night last night the pain is UNBEARABLE! It’s worse than the original injury. I would think at three weeks post injury id be ready for PT but maybe not.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Pancreatic duct dilated 4cm

Anyone else? I wonder if that’s why I always feel like I’m in the beginning of a flare. You know that yucky feeling you get just before a flare up starts? Where you have zero appetite and just feel yucky?
Anyone else dealing with this?

Portal vein thrombosis and now it’s hardened

I have it. Was diagnosed in October 2025. Was suspected of having one back in June of 2024. Nobody ever did anything about it. Well I ended up being put in enoxaparin shot in October of 2025 when a doctor did a surgery for a pancreatic cyst. Never got to see any hematologist but I did see a vascular surgeon in May who said to stop the blood thinners as they were doing no good at this point.
I now have portal hypertension and liver varices.
Next step is to see GI and see what she wants to do. So basically it was brushed off and I was told let’s wait and watch and see and it got to a point of it’s too late…. This is the fourth time a wait and watch approach has back fired. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Compression fracture of L2 with 20% loss of height

I also have pre existing loss of lumbar lordosis. I heat and ice and do gentle walking and bend at knees and soak in epsom salts. I have to be careful with NSAIDs as I have bleeding risks. So…. I’m asking what worked best for yall other than the NSAIDs. Like sitting and sleeping position?
Also if it’s allowed… I’m only on day 5 and have a follow up with the PCP on Friday and have No clue what to expect. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance. And please feel free to share your entire journey as long as you follow the rules. I would hate for anyone to get into trouble.

Compression fracture of the L2 and loss of lumbar lordosis (preexisting)

45 F 108 lbs 5’4” preexisting loss of lumbar lordosis. On Saturday I lifted the end of the couch to get my brothers new puppy out. We thought she was stuck. BTW She was not….. It was my mama and I puppy sitting. Anyway I felt a pop and yeah…. It’s a compression fracture of the L2 . Anyway they gave me a script for ketorolac and sent me on my way.
I have a follow up with my pcp on Friday and am wondering what kind of questions I should ask. I know the pain is UNREAL! I’m walking and icing and heating and soaking in a bath twice a day. So I’m trying to be gentle but not too still.
Just need to know if I’m doing right and what questions to ask. Thank you in advance
