Was macht Die drei ???? für euch besonders (Atmosphäre, Charaktere, Spannung, Nostalgie)?

Berlin and satire

I've always found Berlin fascinating because reality here often feels stranger than satire.

I recently stumbled across a satirical piece about the city that pokes fun at politics, bureaucracy and everyday Berlin absurdities. Some jokes are very local, others probably work anywhere.

It made me wonder:

If someone had never been to Berlin, which part of the city would they assume is satire, but actually isn't?

Curious to hear your examples. I have a feeling there are plenty.

Abortive Gasp from Hamburg

Two men from Hamburg and the brief span in which they turned a school acquaintance, gear obsession and reluctant vocals into something later called Electro-Industrial – without ever being sure they meant the same thing...: Abortive Gasp

Abortive Gasp - To Have The Second Crack (album review )

'To Have The Second Crack' was, contrary to what the title suggests, the first electronic music album of the Hamburg electro combo Abortive Gasp from 1988.

SubmitHub: Handling "Outdated Production" Feedback for EBM/Industrial

I'm having a problem with my electro-industrial/EBM playlist on Submithub: there are a lot of oldies in this genre because, while there are plenty of good new hits, the biggest boom happened around 1990. However, it’s difficult to convey this to the curators using standard genre labels—such as “Industrial”—when they feel they have to evaluate the use of new technology, especially in such an electronically dominated music style. I often get feedback that individual songs are very good, but not produced well enough (by today's standards)—does anyone have any advice for me? I can't really list "oldies" as a genre, because people immediately think of Elvis Presley ;(

Electronic Body Music

Electronic Body Music (EBM) is a genre of electronic music that emerged in the early 1980s, combining elements of industrial music, synth-pop, and post-punk with a focus on repetitive, danceable rhythms and aggressive, often politically charged lyrics. It is characterized by its use of sequencers.
