This little girl ran up to me about 4 weeks ago, asking for help. Normally, I call my city AC to have kitties picked up. (They are a GREAT (mostly) no kill AC.) Welp, she's pregnant and due any hour now. Just got back from the vet; her temp is below 100° and poor girlie is panting quite a bit. Babies having babies...bleh. I have an area set up for her in the closet (she keeps going in there & seems to be nesting). I've don't have experience with kitty (or otherwise) births. I talked to the vet, though. Advice is welcome!
So...I go out to the curb to get my trashcan. I noticed a bunch of litter in the grass; I think it's the usual litter that flies out of the trash bin or truck during pickup. I pick up an unused napkin and was going to use it to pick up the rest of the debris. I go to pick something up...and thank glob...I noticed it was a *used condom*...I glance at the other litter...it's baby wipes and napkins WITH SHIT ON THEM. I look back at the condom and realize it is a BLOODY, SHIT covered CONDOM. GUESS WHAT? I STILL HAVE TO PICK UP THIS NASTY BIOHAZARD ON THE LAWN, YOU GROSS INCONSIDERATE REPROBATES.
I'll spare you the details...but I put on latex gloves and when I go to pick up the condom....it...oozed....HOOOOOORK...and I started wretching...I gotta stop...just typing this....HHHHHHOOOORRRRRKKKKKK
Found her on Tuesday. She was in the alley asking for help. She scarfed down food. I think she's about 6 months. She's also a major lover & cuddler, which also makes me suspect she's preggers. I've had her in my screened in porch for a few days. She also seems wiped out, maybe from pregnancy but maybe from living on the streets for however long. She had a few ticks on her & was skinny. She's plumped up a little.l can't tell if she's round-ish from pregnancy. Maybe too early to tell or maybe the rest of her is just skinny & her belly is full.
