Hi all. I am a salaried employee looking to start a diag centre franchise in the nilgiris, Tamil Nadu.

My long term bet is on the aging population who will need more medical testing and TN govts inability to serve the entire population due to fund crunch.

Looking for hard advice on how profitable these franchises are and what are the main challenges.

I am not qualified as a lab tech myself. Would it be better to undergo some training myself before embarking on the franchise journey?

I understand there is a low investment model and high investment model.

How do I go about determining which path to choose?

Has anyone here done this successfully or not so successfully?

I am exploring whether there is a need for a sample collection centre / diagnostics lab in ooty, coonoor, kotagiri.

Have you faced any challenges in getting blood tests etc done? What has been your experience?
