99 Yukon Denali, 235k, $3k good buy or nah?

Long list of work done: control arms, ball joints, tie rods, Bilstein shocks, both cats and all the O2s, fuel pump, EGR, water pump back in May, and a steering box with a Borgeson shaft. Front diff and transfer case actuator too. In person it’s dirty but dry under the hood, body’s straight, no rust.

Only thing nagging me is the whole list and not one word about the trans. It’s a 4L60E at 235k. Feels like the thing you’d mention if you’d touched it, and he didn’t.

is $3k fair for a clean two-year-only Denali at this mileage? Anything specific I should feel for on the drive besides the obvious slipping? And does front diff + t-case actuator work sound like normal old-truck stuff to you or would you be asking what broke?

Plan is to daily it 6-12 months then flip it. Tell me if I’m about to buy someone’s transmission problem.

Why is there often a different standard from Europeans for how Americans are expected to relate to their ancestry depending on their racial background?

For example, when a white American says they are Italian-American, Irish-American, Polish-American, etc., despite their family having immigrated several generations ago, there can sometimes be criticism that they are claiming an identity they are no longer entitled to.

But when Black Americans identify simply as American, people sometimes argue that they should know or identify with the specific African country or region their ancestors came from, even when their family has been in the United States for generations and the exact origins may be difficult or impossible to trace.

Why does the expectation seem to differ depending on the person’s race?

(r/askeurope wouldn’t let me post this for some reason but maybe this can be explained from an American POV?)

Edit: please read the post. I’m not*** asking about the experience of it happening in America. We are smarter than that, I hope. I’m speaking about the discussion amongst Europeans and Americans

How often do you see wealthy and successful Black people in your country?

In the US it’s not uncommon to see wealthy and successful Black people that are thriving and even showing off their wealth. How common is that for you and how do you view these people in your country?

What is your perspective on Golf/Golfing?

Do you like to play? My family in Germany says that they only see rich and corporate people play.

“Speakers aren’t working” + no sign of charging or battery percentage. What’s going on?

Last night the LED light was blinking. But now it has zero response other than it showing response on the case. Am I cooked/should I file that warranty? Purchased two months ago…

Why is it that the only people I see hating on the US right now are Canadians and Australians?

It seems like other people are genuinely having a good time in the US for all the events and vacations but I’m see a Canadians and Australians just completely being miserable lol

Are they okay?

Also real talk, I don’t think about these other countries like that. Why is it such a one sided beef? Where does that genuinely come from?

Where can I find the OG corded Andis Masters?

I use the Babybliss pro but I miss the feel of the corded versions. In the EU it seems like no one sells them over here.

Any recs or similar feeling clippers?

Need advice: I usually line myself up at the red line and finish with hair fiber enhancements. Would the yellow line be a push back? I feel it would be more sharper.

At-fault driver in rental car accident, no personal insurance, no SLP — Enterprise now seeking reimbursement. What are my options?

Got into a minor fender bender two weeks ago in a rental car in the Bay Area. Backed into a parked car at a gas station, super low speed, no injuries, no police. We exchanged info and went our separate ways.

I had CDW on the rental but no SLP and no personal auto insurance. Allstate (other driver’s insurer) already determined I’m 100% at fault and is sending a demand letter. Enterprise assigned a liability adjuster who says they’ll handle it but will come after me for whatever they pay out.

Damage looked like bumper scuffs and paint transfer, nothing major. I’m also currently abroad until end of July.
Does CDW cover anything for third party damages or is it strictly for the rental itself? Can I negotiate the repair estimate when it comes in? And should I even give the Enterprise adjuster a statement or will that hurt me?

First time dealing with anything like this, any advice helps.

Edit: I’m going to be good. I can afford to pay whatever comes my way and know to make sure I’m fully covered next time.

On the other hand, some of y’all in the comments need a hug from ya mommas.
