Looking for an express custom-print shop in Paris (t-shirts + caps) by Monday

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a Paris workshop that can do printing (flocage / DTF / DTG — not embroidery) on:

  • 6 black t-shirts (large white logo across the full chest)
  • 3 black caps (brandmark in orange)

And ideally also around 50 personalised pens and 50 sunglasses.

Two constraints:

  • I'd need it for Monday (6th July), or Tuesday (7th July) morning at the latest;
  • I'd prefer to pick it up in person in Paris rather than wait on delivery.

If you can recommend a good spot (a small, responsive shop with fair prices), I'd really appreciate it. And if you run a print shop in Paris yourself, feel free to send me a PM - happy to share the artwork and details directly.

Thanks in advance!

How do other founders source and vet niche service providers (legal, accounting, etc.) at the pre-seed stage? (i will not promote)

European Pre-seed founder here with LLC in Daleware, trying to dial in my sourcing process for specialized vendors and would love to hear how apporach it.

Spoecific situation: we need a corporate cleanup of our Delaware C-Corp before our next round. About 30-40 pages of docs to review, plus reconciling Carta against the underlying paperwork. Standard work for someone who knows the space, but I've burned a lot of time on the sourcing side and want to fix my process.

What I've tried so far:
- Cold emailing firms - 50+ outreach and less than 10% reply
- Marketplace platforms (ContractsCounsel bids came back with $400-600 per hour, well above our range.. $300 and below is what we think it is okay for bootstraped startup)
- LinkedIn DMs to specific named attorneys with 'emerging companies' in their bio.. better but slow.

What I'd love to hear from other startup founders:

  1. How do you find your first lawyers / accountant / niche vendor at the pre-seed stage?
  2. What worked best? Refferals, Priori/LawTrades type platforms, cold outreach, founder communities, something else?
  3. For founders who locked in flat-fee deals on scoped projects what made the difference vs. open-ended hourly engagements?
  4. Any signals that helped you tell a good fit from a bad fit before signing?

FYI: Not asking for vendor recommendations directly (pre sub rules..), but more interested in the process other founders run. Trying to build a repeatable sourcing playbook so the next time we need a specialist we don't spend two weeks on outreach.

Thanks

Looking to interview real filmmakers using AI for an article on AI filmmaking

Hey everyone,

I’m researching AI filmmaking for an article and I’m trying to speak with people who actually work in film/video production and use AI in a real way.

Not looking for hype. I’m more interested in practical stuff like:

  • using AI for storyboards
  • concept art
  • pitch decks
  • previsualization
  • VFX
  • editing
  • sound
  • color
  • script development
  • AI video generation
  • client work
  • ads/commercials
  • indie films
  • music videos

I’d love to ask a few questions about what you use, how you use it, what actually works, and what is still overrated.

If you’re open to being quoted or featured in the article, even better. I’d prefer to verify people through LinkedIn, official email, or portfolio/website, just so I know I’m speaking with someone real from the industry.

Comment here or DM me if you’re open to sharing your experience.

First time real estate photography tips are welcome - All questions at same place.

Hey everyone,

I’ll be doing real estate photography for the first time this week for a friend, and I’d love some advice from more experienced Lumix shooters.

Also, I have read bunch of threads here already, but maybe this one can be like a bundle with all questions at one place.

Gear:

* Lumix S5IIX

* Lumix 16-35mm

* Lumix 20-60mm

* 50mm prime

A few questions I have:

* Should I use exposure bracketing or the built-in HDR mode?

* What focal lengths do you usually use for interiors?

* AP vs Manual mode?

* Aperture recommendations? Should I stay around mid apertures like f/5.6–f/8 or go higher?

* Is chest/heart-level camera height okay for indoor shots?

* White balance: Auto WB or manually set it room by room?

* Owners can only be there in the evening before sunset, so any tips for shooting interiors (as well as exterior) during that time?

* Should I use flash at all? If yes, where would you position it?

This is unpaid and just for a friend, so I’m mostly excited to learn and experiment without pressure.

Any tips, mistakes to avoid, camera settings, workflow advice, or editing suggestions are very welcome. Especially from people using Lumix cameras for real estate work.

Thanks!

For the last 1 to 2 months I’ve been trying to figure out the PR / guest post / media placement world for a SaaS launch in the AI space.

We’re not starting completely from zero. We’ve already had strong traction with a few related things, some pre-seed investments.. but I don’t want to turn this post into self-promotion, so I’ll keep the company details out of it (dont' even ask).

What surprised me is how expensive this whole game seems to be.

I’ve been looking into highly authoritative publications like WSJ, Bloomberg, Inc, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, NYT, The Economist, Washington Post, Mashable, Engadget, Business Insider, and similar sites.

I contacted some publications directly. Most did not respond.

Then I spoke with a few PR companies / people who claim they can help with placements or sponsored editorial opportunities, and the numbers are honestly wild.

Examples I’ve heard:

$15k for Inc / VentureBeat type placements.

$25k for a TechCrunch hosted article where you write the article yourself.

Maybe I’m naive, but that feels insane.

I understand that serious publications have value. I understand authority, trust, distribution, backlinks, brand credibility, and all of that. I also understand that earned media and paid media are not the same thing.

But at some point, I have to ask:

Are these actually normal market prices?

Or is this just the “AI startup tax” because everyone assumes you raised money and can burn cash?

For marketers who have done this before:

What is the realistic way to get strong exposure and high-authority backlinks without spending $15k to $25k per article?

Is it better to (gpt helped me with the questions):

  1. Work with niche publications first?
  2. Build relationships with journalists directly?
  3. Use HARO / Qwoted / Featured-style platforms?
  4. Publish data reports and pitch them as stories?
  5. Focus on founder-led LinkedIn / Twitter instead?
  6. Ignore big media and put that budget into SEO content, partnerships, and affiliates?
  7. Pay for placements only when the publication is extremely relevant?

I’m genuinely trying to understand whether this is just how the market works now, or whether I’m looking in the wrong places.

Would love to hear from people who have actually secured meaningful PR, backlinks, or media exposure for SaaS companies without burning a ridiculous amount of money.
