Not sure if this is the right sub, but I'm wondering if anyone on here knows how I can modify my recliner chair to add a swivel base? It's a powered recliner

I love my Google products

While every product has its downsides or cons, I'm not here to write about that today. I'm writing this post to express how much I love my Google products. So much so that I have bought five pixel phones from Google in my lifetime and I just picked up a Google pixel 4 watch today.

I think the pixel phones have some of the best cameras on the market compared to other phones on the market, the portrait mode specifically takes such high quality. Great photos, and it's so easy to take such great photos at the same time, especially to the same "old" camera on my girlfriend's phone whose company name I won't mention, cough, cough... You know who you are.

I think the Gemini AI release is one of the smartest assistants I've ever had the pleasure of using and I think it is so brilliant to converse with and easy to use. I think most people underutilize Gemini as a tool to create and solve problems as well as make things more efficient but overall just a great soundboard to bounce ideas off of, not to mention they have two great side-by-side AI assistants. One for Google and Gemini with Google being an even better tool for comparing prices on things all across the internet which is incredible for people like me who like to get the best deals on everything and save money.

More so than anything and the real reason I came here to write this right up is actually because of the pixel 4 watch that I picked up today from another user on the market who also loves your products. I think the pixel 4 watch is brilliantly and boldly stepping away from the consumer waste market by making their smartwatch have replaceable parts that you can replace yourself! Having a screen, batteries, and seals that you can replace yourself on your own watch is absolutely brilliant and so refreshing to see in such a high consumer waste market.

I just want to say thank you so much to every Google employee that has worked on the pixel line or the watch line or just doing anything in general for Google, your ingenuity great design and future thinking makes you a pioneer that other companies of your size should follow.

Are marinos wool socks blends supposed to pill like this?

This is a marina wool blend with polyester nylon elastic. They started pilling a few days after wearing them and they got even worse after first wash. Is this normal?

Rant: no thought put into the fold down seats

I absolutely love my 2018 Toyota RAV4, but I absolutely hate the fold down seat design. It's almost as if there's no thought into it at all. One thing I didn't think was going to be such a big issue, but trying to camp in this thing is terrible, when the seats don't fold flat. You can't double stack anything. Almost everything hits the roof and everything you put in slides right back out.

Forced to rest, camping activities

So I recently had a small biopsy done on my foot and I have to elevate it as much as possible when I go camping this week / weekend.

Most of the time we rest anyways, but I was wondering what the best kind of activities were to do while you're resting and having my leg elevated. I'm thinking reading a book or doing some kind of puzzle book or something like that.

Boiling bottom of pans in baking soda and water

Tonight I tried a new technique that I've never thought of trying before.

I used baking soda and water in a large pan and then I put a smaller pan into it to try and clean the bottom, boiled it for a few hours and it surprisingly worked better than I thought it was going to.... It made a huge mess, but it worked!

Taking apart blades?

Has anyone tried taking apart blades on their electric shavers to clean the hairs underneath getting stuck underneath.

I have a Philips 7000 series and it looks like the blade has two small torx bits and I was wondering if anyone has tried taking them apart to clean them before or if it's even worth it.

Anyone figured out how to deal with projector screen sag?

Over the years our projector screen is slowly starting to sag over the top in the middle, has anybody figured out a clever way to fix this?

This is pretty basic stuff but I just can't wrap my head around it.

So I have two rectangles with dimensions, as you can see the far left dimension (20.00) is locked and the right dimension "63.50" is the driving dimension and I also locked the far right upright line on the left rectangle but I can't for the life of me how fusion decides what square to pull when changing the dimension, I want it to pull the right rectangle to the left but it always pulls the left rectangle to the right, you can also see it showed me an error code but i am not sure what that means.

Can someone please explain this to me?

I bought my Nvidia shield back in 2019 and at that point I think they'd already been out for a couple of years. Given that I still have it and use it today, I'd say it was well worth it because I still love my Nvidia shield. I have it hooked up to a smaller non-smart TV in my bedroom and it works just as fast as the day I bought it and it's worth noting that it works faster than my "smart" TCL TV in my living room. That always is lagging and freezing.

I think Nvidia should make their own TVs. Kind of surprised they haven't yet
