Did anyone else’s PF change signs?

Did anyone else’s PF change signs?

This looks so generic now lmao. And there isn’t a regulation for how the buildings here look or anything either .

Unc crash-out told me he “should punch me in my fucking mouth” because I wouldn’t help him off the clock

I had literally just left the TSC for my last 15 minute break that I was going to take in my car. As I head down the sidewalk toward it, this old, ugly guy in this big white truck says “excuse me” and then starts saying something. I really just want a break with no interruptions and I don’t want to waste the time of either of us so I interject and explain “I’m sorry, I’m off the clock”. This makes him see red, apparently, and he starts yelling “THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!” and some other rambling nonsense bullshit, I don’t make out every word as I’m walking away around his truck. I explain, “I’m not allowed to help you off the clock”, and he replies “That has nothing to do with it! I should punch you in your fucking mouth!”.
I went around the lot looking at every white truck I could find and I’m pretty sure I found the guy and he had stopped to ask someone else something. Then he parked diagonally in the spot like a complete dumbass. He had some license plate frame that looked like a chain, ooobviously tough guy 😎.
I get if I misread him and he just wanted directions to somewhere local or something unrelated to Target, but now I’m glad I didn’t help him, and he certainly did not need to do all that 😭 not exactly winning me over

Bad adhesion with PLA and Cryogrip Glacier - also, tips on reducing "swaying" on lithophanes?

Hi,

I have a Neptune 3 pro and a Cryogrip Glacier buildplate (the glacier, not the frostbite- so basically a glorified PEI bed). PETG sticks like a dream, well, because it's PETG, but PLA adhesion is pretty bad. Even small objects are just losing adhesion and falling over, and don't even get me started on trying to print lithophanes.

I've tried raising the bed temperature to 70C, using 2 raft layers for the lithophane, using brims (normal and mouse ears), slowing things down, setting Z offset, using glue stick, washing the bed with soap and water, turning off cooling for 3 layers - all to no avail...

The failure is pretty simple - the bottom loses adhesion and then it starts printing a huge blob of plastic on top, until I eventually stop the print or Obico does.

If anyone has any ideas or advice, even just general PLA advice and not anything to do with adhesion, please suggest away, thanks!

Dude tried to scam my tech out of at least $3k with a fake Instacart app interface. I wasn’t having it.

This happened a while back so I’m going to post about it now.
I was in tech and this guy showed me his phone. Immediately there’s red flags because he wants 2 iPad M5’s, an Apple Watch series 11, and 1 iPad m4, which is easily over $3000. Obviously immediate red flag, because who just buys that much in the middle of the summer right? Also, the domain seemed obviously fake, and he didn’t even have an actual app installed for this- more on this later.

So of course I gotta give him the benefit of the doubt since I can’t prove he’s scamming yet. I grab everything and return. He shows me him scanning the items with the app. Ok. I tell him that I’ll cash him out back here. He says something along the lines of “oh it’s an Instacart order, it tells me to use self checkout”, which makes no fucking sense. I repeat to him that I have to cash him out back here, but then he asks if I can just walk with him to the SCO, which I agree with cause whatever. I walk with him and maintain control of the merchandise in my hands the entire time.

So I wait in line with this guy and when it turns time for him to check out I start to go and scan the items. He stops me and then very unconvincingly pretends to scan something on his phone. Nothing happens on the SCO- no sound, no pop-up, nothing- because obviously he’s not doing anything, and it even enters the screensaver proving nothing happened, which I’m sure he did not like lmao. He then tries to tell me that it’s already paid for, and goes “oh I have the receipt”, and shows me his phone. He shows me this page that, to his credit (unfortunately) does look a lot like how our receipts look. But no receipt came out of the SCO + there’s no option to only have a digital receipt, and obviously I didn’t even scan any of the items. I tell him that I’m going to go to guest service so that they can assist, and so that they can “pull up the order from his receipt”. Instead though, I got lucky and a TSS was right there, so I just asked him if he has “ever heard of a prepaid Instacart order”, as a signal that this guy is full of shit.

So I ask this guy to just please wait while we “check on things”. After a few minutes, he knew the jig was up. He eventually says that “if there’s an order I can just call and cancel”, and then he takes out his phone and I assume he pretends to make a call to someone to “cancel” (I tried to see if his phone screen was actually on a call but couldn’t see). Then he dips.

Later on the front end TL thanks me for doing a good job (or whatever) and so does the TSS. Apparently this guy has been going around several stores in our district and trying the same thing and has not been successful lmao.

After work I recall the domain he used for the fake app and I ran a whois. Sure enough it was registered just last month, so obviously not really Instacart. Taking precaution, I go to the site. Immediately it says some name, which is interesting as I wasn’t signed in. I look through and it would be impressive if he didn’t just probably use AI to make it- there’s a fake map, a barcode scanner that actually functions, fake receipt, etc, though beyond surface level nothing really “works”, obviously just for tricking retail workers. Most notably, I check the “stores” and this guy has a few non-Target stores but looks to have every store in our district listed, with a bullshit order ready to pull up… and I was even able to pull up the exact order he showed me lmao.

It’s just incredible that this guy would go through this much effort to scam and still have no success for an entire district. Don’t quit your day job buddy lmao

3D printed touchscreen mounts for the N3 pro that don't require the stock magnet holder?

Does anyone have any they found? All of the ones I've seen require the stock magnet hardware, which I think I tossed out.. but now I got the screen working on Klipper so that is quite unfortunate lol.

Ideally I just want it to mount to the front right edge of the frame like how the mount originally does. Any rotation capability is a bonus. Thanks!

WHAT spawn of hell do 99% of transit road drivers come from?!

Bro I SWEAR only like 20% of the time I have some uneventful drive down transit road, specifically the section in front of EastGate Plaza. Almost EVERY time I’m driving down there there’s someone doing some dumb shit. Like, VERY OBVIOUS dumb, dangerous shit, basic traffic law breaking shit.
Wtaf is going on down Transit?? I’ve only been living down here for a couple of years. I used to live in Yonkers, NY, and there were pretty terrible drivers there too, but transit is worse for sure.
If you’re reading this you’re probably the 1% dw

OrcaSlicer 2.4.0 beta - "ContourZ: unexpected number of instances" error?

TO CLARIFY, Iknow this is beta and that it is full of issues, but am I doing something wrong? I can get around to submitting an issue if it gets to it, but I want to make sure I'm not the issue here.

I am trying to print several bag clips. I used the option to fill the bed with instances. When I tried slicing with Z Contouring on, I got this error.

I tried with both "by layer" and "by object" printing modes, none fixed this. Seemed to appear when I right-clicked > fill bed with instances.

Copy and pasting the same object again and again to essentially make instances prevents this error from happening. So it may very well just be some random bug.

Replacement thermistor for Neptune 3 Pro and/or the thermistor connector type/size?

Destroyed my thermistor wires by accident when clearing blobs from a failed print. Does anyone know a good replacement for the Neptune 3 pro that doesn’t require me to crimp on a new connector? Or do you know which type and size of connector it is so I can look for thermistors with the same one? Thanks!

I used the fill option to paint the outside, but fuzzy skin is not generating. Any other option for the fuzzy skin, such as contour, works just fine and I can see the fuzzy skin in the preview. I tried this with another model too - same exact issue, painting just does not generate fuzzy skin. Any ideas? I'm on the latest OrcaSlicer.
