Temp hasn't moved over a year. Any tips to get it up naturally?

Hi

I've been following Ray Peat for the last year. My daily temps haven't really moved that much at all. I'm in a colder part of the world right now, not super cold but it's winter. I noticed my hands and feet being cold at night or when stationary during the day. I do work outside so I am moving during the day time majority of those hours.

My usual daily eating revolves around yoghurt and honey for breakfast with a coffee. The rest of the day consists of 750ml-1L of freshly squeeze OJ, small serving of lamb or beef, potatoes or rice for at dinner, 1-1

5Litres of milk, carrot salad, parmesan cheese, weekly prawns/oysters, fruit for snacks, homemade ice-cream at nighttime, etc

B vitamins especially high dose b1. Magnesium Threonate, Mineral supplement.

My digestion is good. I can easily digest 2L milk a day on occasion.

My emotional stress is fairly low, I'm into my interests and get lots of time in nature as well. There is some emotional stuff I am still cleaning up and in the process of reprogramming my conditioning.

I did have lab tests done of thyroid function including rt3 and all my results as well as non thyroid stuff come back great.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm wanting to raise the body temp naturally without resorting to being tied to a T3 supplement. Any tips?

Thanks

Today was the first time in 19years that Damien and Lisa performed together

They both sung Forever Young with a collection of other artists at Glen Hansard's funeral.

Can't believe how quick 19 years can go!

Microdosing LSD in between sessions - 30ug!?

Hi,

For those who have microdosed LSD in-between sessions like the MDMAsolo guide suggests doing, did you follow the MDMAsolo recommendation of 30ug or higher?

I feel that may be a typo in that guide and it should be 30ug or less. I mean, 30ug is definitely not a microdose (i.e. sub-perceptual effects) so perhaps they a just used the term microdose in a haphazard way to start with.

I know that MDMAsolo is not recommended by quite a number of people due to some dubious info regarding high doses and too frequent sessions, so maybe the 30ug falls into this category. The book about a the power of microdosing, the author of that book usually only took 10ug every second or third day so that's interesting too.

Any first hand experiences on the dose, benefits, etc. are much appreciated 👌🙏

What were your pre-session practices before your most impactful MDMA session?

Hi,

I'm curious what pre-session practices seemed to have been a catalyst for your most intense breakthroughs and change during an MDMA therapy session?

I've heard from a couple of people who have done multiple sessions, and highlighted some specific practices beforehand which seemed to have magnified a session for them more than the other sessions.

I'd love to hear others' experiences of what practices pre session have made the most impact for the session itself.

Thanks :)

Having difficulty generating feeling/emotion

Hi,

I'm starting out in IPF and I'm having trouble generating feeling and emotions during my visualizations. I'm sure they will come through time especially if I keep leaning into the felt sense of the experience.

Do I bring this sense of emotional void into the scenes with the IP for them to see and validate? Im just not sure if I'm meant to bring this current emotional void challenge I'm experiencing as an adult into the scene of me being a young child with my IP, or whether I should just try to associate going back in time and being the young child as much as I can.

Thanks :)

Daytime = open sinuses. Night-time = stuffy sinuses

Hi, Im wondering if anyone has experienced a similar thing. During the day time my sinuses remain open and Im able to breathe well. At night time they begin to become very stuffy and i quite often cannot breathe through them when sleeping - even when using nasal strips for example.

My hunch is that i have inflammation in my sinuses, and cortisol which rises in the early morning (its the hormone that wakes us up) is a natural anti-inflammatory. So as soon as a wake up in the morning if suddenly experience open nasal passages again.

I have a similar experience whenever i have a cold or flu. During the day time the symptoms greatly reduce and then in the night time it feel absolutely terrible as they intensify so much.

What is the inflammation from? Im not 100% sure but my hunch it is some bacterial or fungus (mold) infection that has decided to make itself at home in my sinuses. I'm not sure if there any common tests that can determine whether or what species is infecting the sinuses or whether its just a matter of taking antibiotic spray or nasal rinses?

Has anyone had similar experiences?

14grams of grind - precision basket VS step down basket?

A quick question, I have an 18g and 22g basket. I find 14g is my sweet spot for caffeine intake. Would you recommend I buy a 14g precision basket (for creating some puck resistance), or is a step down 58mm to 49mm basket a better idea?

I use medium roast beans.

Thanks

Bought a used V6 - is this the stock shower head screw?

Hi guys, Im wondering if this hex screw comes with the h6 out of the box or iif the previous owner has replaced the original screw with the hex?

I was planning to buy a flat screw to install myself, but the hex screw is quite flat already which makes me think it's already been modified.

How to determine if Inova E20 filters need changing?

Hi,

I bought a used Inova E20. The user said they replaced one of the filters recently. Honestly, I wasn't that well versed in air purifiers when I saw the ad but a quick google search of the E20 when I saw the ad had me see it was a really good quality one and so I pounced on it at the very low price it was being sold at.

Now, I'm wondering how I can determine whether the filters need replacing? I have no idea how much use the purifier was getting, and I didn't own it new so I have no idea how forcefully the air that is blown out from it should be (if that determines whether or not the filters are getting blocked).

I'll attach photos of each filter.

Thanks very much 😊🙏

Does Gaggimate make it easier to pull better quality single espresso shots (7g-12g baskets)?

Hi,

I'm new to espresso making but excited to be jumping in. I have a Rancilio V6 with a Gaggimate about to be delivered. I'llbe using a bottomless portafilter, h6 grinder, pick filter, etc.

I've read that it's easier to pull double espresso shots using 18+gram baskets, and the taste from these shots is generally preferred by the majority as it produces a fuller taste experience where nutty and chocolatey aspects can shine for example. Whereas using a single shot basket in the 7g-12g range can be harder to dial in, much more susceptible to channeling, and they tend to highlight only a specific aspect of flavour without a more fully rounded experience.

I'm wondering if the Gaggimate in any way improves the quality of these single shot baskets - both in flavour and in making it easier to dial in?

Drinking a double is just too much caffeine for me personally - a one shot coffee has me energised all day. Worst case scenario is that I pull a double using an 18g basket and then dispose of 30-50% of it to have a single left over to make an latte 🙃

Thanks

Toilet kept overflowing when installing a bidet

Hi guys,

I installed a non powered bidet. I unscrewed the hose that the toilet was connected to the water valve on the wall with. Then I put a T-adaptor 3 way valve on to the water valve on the wall, which allowed me to attach the hose from the toilet on to, as well as the hose connected to the bidet.

The bidet works by using the pressure of the water when you switch the bidet into "on".

The issue is that once I installed it all and turned on the wall water valve, the water inside the toilet tank would continue to rise until it leaked down into the toilet bowl endlessly.

I uninstalled it all, and it went back to normal. Any ideas?

A well used v5 VS a hardly used v6 that is an extra $350. Which way to go?

Hi, Im curious to hear which way you would go with this: I have the option to buy a v6 that hasn't had that much use at all for an extra USD$350 compared to a v5 that has been well used since around 2018. Is the extra $350 worth it for the newer model with much lower miles of usage on it? I might be able to get it down to an extra $250-300

How accurate is the online shipping calculator price?

Hi,

I'm wanting to ship a small coffee machine from gold coast to Sydney. I'm getting quoted $38 when I enter the dimensions of the box it will go in, and when I also enter the kg weight (plus an extra 3kg to be sure).

I've had someone say that the costs end up being much more than what it says on the online calculator.

Can anyone vouch for how accurate the calculator is when shipping more than a small parcel?

Thanks

For those who own Hobibear shoes, how thick is the sole?

Hi guys,

Can anyone with Hobibear shoes please see how thick the sole of the shoe is? Just an approx measurement. I understand different styles may have slightly different thickness but itll give me a good idea.

I ask as I want to buy a pair of barefoot shoes and install a DIY grounding element in them through the sole. To do this, it is recommend that the sole be less that half an inch thick (1.25cm max).

I'm looking at Hobibear as its easily accessible via amazon, people who buy them seem happy with them, and if they are comfortable i can always buy via aliexpress.

Thanks for your time :)

Ray Peats water/copper/aspirin solution for reversing grey hair?

Hi, I came across a comment from someone who said:

I remember there's an email or a quote from Ray saying he made a solution of water with aspirin and a copper wire in it and maybe something else and that putting that on his grey eyebrow hair caused its color to return....

I can't seem to find any more info on this. Does anyone have any leads?

Thanks 👍
