Need help figuring out the best settings for the AW3425DW. Are we meant to be using the irm profile supplied by the Dell driver?

I recently got an Alienware AW3425DW, and finding information regarding the icm profiles that come with the driver is confusing. I was under the impression, that if I am using the creator -> srgb preset (which I am), I should be using no color correction profile at all. However after I installed the driver for this monitor, windows has decided to autoapply one of those profiles that come with the driver. It was intially the dcip3 one, which looked awful, probably cause I was not using that color space. I set it to srgb for now cause I cant figure out how to disable using one of these profiles.. and honestly? Things do look better. The confusing thing is, I tried to use this same color profile on linux (cachyos), and it made things look really bad, which was one of the reasons why I thought we werent supposed to use them (with creator mode -> srgb preset).

edit - typo, I meant icm, not irm, sorry.

Best material for cheap DIY projector screen?

Was going to just use my white wall, but I've got wood and stuff lying around that I can use to make a frame for a fixed tension screen, so I figured, why not build my own screen for cheap? This will be for an Optoma PK31, which seems to be built on the same platform as the Phillips GamePix 900 (I believe it comes from the same factory, but PK31 has slightly better *advertised/on-paper* specs, like brightness, colour, etc, and unfortunately no reviews to confirm any of this). I'm buying from Canada, and my room is 240*200 inches large (I think I can comfortably get 120 inches of screen size in this room) if it matters. Use will be some console gaming, and movies. My budget is around 100 CAD and under, less is better of course.

Budget projector option for docked switch console and occasional movies?

Looking for around 80-120 inches of use, only really need 1080p native since I will mostly just be using this for a docked switch. Maybe I will stream movies here sometimes too so 4k would be nice to have but not important. Budget is around 150-400 CAD. Yeah it's a big range, but I don't need anything amazing or great, just looking to get a decent bang for my buck. I'm buying in Canada if it matters, and am not opposed to ordering off online as long as they will ship to here. I will not actually be using the projector much. Maybe a few hours at a time a few times a week?

EDIT - Is the nexigo pj40 a good option? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKW2IIaLp_4

Also looking at some xgimi options but I would have to stretch my budget a little. the flip is 450 CAD, the flip plus is 600 CAD, and the regular horizon is also 700 CAD, along with the mogo 4 and halo+ also being 700 CAD. Not sure which of these would be ideal

Gulikit ES Pro vs TT Pro for switch

Which of these do you guys think is better? I don't have a preference for layout and don't need the extra paddles either. Mostly curious about everything else. Will be using this with a switch oled. I'm seeing the es pro bundles that come with switch button replacement and hyperlink 2 USB stick are only a couple bucks cheaper than the TT pro, so I'm finding it's kind of a hard decision. I will be using this 90% with my switch oled docked and 10% on my pc. I haven't seen too many direct comparisons. I saw that the TT pro had stick drift/centering issues? (Ironic since I thought we were buying TMR to avoid this)

Edit: eh, I guess auto mod wants these details too. I'm buying from Canada and likely from AliExpress or Amazon. Budget is 45 USD / 60 CAD or lower.

I can pickup a MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 local for 1300 CAD (956 USD), this would be 1485 CAD (1092 USD) all in after taxes, etc. While this is my first choice.. I added a openbox (from amazon warehouse, so it should be relatively safe and easy return if needed) and it priced out to 1020 CAD ($750 USD) all in (887 CAD / $652 USD before taxes, etc). Made me realize the MSI is almost 50% more cost.

I can comfortably fit the Alienware into budget right now, the MSI I could probably squeeze in if it was worth it.. but it is still a large price difference. Would essentially be all the money I have left extra for hobby items for a long while. I mainly do dev work and some gaming here and there, but I am on linux 90% of the time, and figured I could get something like this and make the text fringing thing mostly a non-issue: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/freetype2-qdoled but I do think the purple blacks might bother me a little. I never work in the dark ever, but I never have a lot of light either. Daytime I have shutters around 75% closed for some light, and night time I always have the light on, but they are not bright lights (and are a warmer temperature/colour if it matters).

Essentially I would be getting the MSI for the better warranty, coating (for in the dark and blacks), and extra refresh rate, but is it truly worth the 50% more cost? Looking at the price history of other past qdoled monitors I dont see it going on sale for much lower in the future too, maybe just a few hundred off here and there. I wanted to know what this sub's opinion was, between these two choices.

EDIT - Decided to do the rational thing and try the amazon deal first since returns are easy. Can see if the coating or fringing bother me before deciding to spend extra for the MSI. Ended up grabbing the 240hz MSI instead of the alienware actually cause it was only $8 more and came with more features..

I see this on sale at a local Canada Computers. A bit of a drive, but wondering if it would be worth it to grab this. I was going to be on the market for a cheap tv before I saw this. It is a much older model, wondering if it's still worth if it's at this price?

I don't see much talk about it. I see a lot of talk about hatspack, both good and bad, but enough information for most users to make an informed decision but I was curious about kefir, since it seems they used their own fork of atmosphere with a few custom patches?
