slide 2 is how makeup looks on me and slide 3 is my base face. i wanna just point out that slide 2 was before i got braces and slide 3 is current, hence why theres a bit of a difference with my facial structure

problem:
i have 0 confidence when im going out with makeup so i mostly leave the house without. it always doesnt seem obvious that i have makeup on and it makes me insecure cause then that means my makeup isnt covering the parts of my face thats unwanted. i dont know my undertone, i dont know how to do my eyes and brows, and i dont even know what shade of lipstick suits me

its evident that i have bags under my eyes, and i cant find a way to conceal them properly. i cant contour my nose properly — a friend of mine once asked if i had contour on and i said no. she said my nose looks contoured already, so when i actually contour my nose, it looks sooo heavy but maybe its because im doing it wrong

what i want:
im hoping to achieve a makeup look like the first slide references. i dont want heavy makeup but i want it to be obvious that i have makeup on. i wanna keep my eyebrows thin. i want the makeup look to focus more on my eyes and brows since i think its what mostly carries the look. overall, i just want my makeup to look like the reference or at least close to them

hello! please dont mind my dry lips, ive been struggling to keep them hydrated. that aside, the first pic is a month progress. so far, its still uncomfortable for me, di parin po ako nakakakagat kahit hatdog hahahah — not unless i use my molars which is fine pero minsan natatamaan inscisors ko which hurts like hell

now, my non-important concern. after my first adjustment, my front lower set moved a lot as seen in the progress pic. it kind of feels like i have a crossbite but im not too sure. what concerns me is how it looks when i close my mouth. unlike nung unang kabit sakin until the day of my adjustment, nakakasmile pa po ako without my mouth opening nor looking weird

as seen sa slides 2-3, may onting difference from before i got my braces vs 1 month on it. my lips look so bulky from the side and mukhang nakasimangot ako from the front. it also looks like i have a slight underbite which is bringing my confidence down a little. naiiyak nalang po ako out of frustration cause i dont know what to do but wait. will it change? im aware braces change a bit of your structure since your teeth are being put to place so im curious if its gonna get better as time goes

to add, my face is relaxed in the last slide. from the front, mukha akong tense but thats because i have to close my mouth with effort. it looks like nabring down din po facial features ko, parang nahila ganun. nahihirapan din po ako mag salita and pronounce my letters properly, nabubulol ako most of the time. im aware the purpose of the braces isnt for aesthetics but to fix your teeth, but its been affecting my confidence and id really like to hear opinions or facts if magbabago pa po structure ng lips ko and how itd look when closed

recently, i observed my teeth and there hasnt been any significant change other than my bottom teeth being more straight and nasa forward na + the one tooth na slowly napupunta sa likod. ortho said na she’ll put a spring on it para mabring forward ung tooth

aside from that, ive had my braces for 6 days, almost a week na (yaayy). one thing im really concerned about is my oral health. before i got braces, i took really bad care of my teeth cause of mental health issues + katamaran kaya napabayaan ang teeth ko

when i got my braces, i formed the habit of checking my teeth almost every 5mins (exaggerated) to check if may dumi or what. basically adapted to being a clean freak kasi conscious po ako

the debonded bracket sa likod is still holding on. di ko na po ginalaw and im letting it be until it fully comes off dahil i can still feel that its partially on

problems:

using floss. the flossing isnt the problem, the pain is. nafflloss ko po ung upper teeth ko and my back teeth (both up and down) pero di ko po mafloss ung lower front teeth. its very tight together and i feel them moving. theyre a bit wiggly but im assuming its cause of the braces. so i use toothpicks instead to at least make up for it kasi super sakit po talaga ifloss

brushing my teeth. in general, expected naman po na masakit especially if bago po. kaso lagi akong nakukulangan kasi di ko po maidin since theyre really sensitive and ive been brushing extra gently sa part na may nadebond na bracket

waking up with my mouth open. im not sure if this is common, but i wake up everytime with my mouth open. it causes my outer lips to be dry, tas super wet ung sa inner(?) lip to the point na ung dead skins ay super sticky at dumidikit sa brackets. i also noticed na compared to before, mas mabaho po hininga ko when i wake up then i just brush immediately after and its good

i often salivate. every minute, lagi ko pong ginagawa ung pahigop na action kasi naglalaway po ako. some of the front teeth ay often wet and sticky and i cant do anything other than drink water or mumog. i find it a bit annoying and i wanna know if theres a solution to this

my toothpaste is fine, but is there any toothpaste that you guys could recommend? im not aiming to make my teeth whiter, but it would be nice since im scared of having yellow stains after i get the brackets removed

i know i should be asking my ortho, kaso unresponsive po sya even during business hours. ortho is a family member but no, my braces arent free. hindi ko na po sya binobother masyado since im aware na she has a life outside the business too and i should only contact if may concerns or anything serious going on

huhu the braces humbled me so bad to the point na nakasalubong ko friend ko kanina and i never smiled nor said anything. all that aside, i have questions about my teeth na hindi ko naitanong kay ortho dahil i was groggy as soon as i got the braces

1. ortho said na andami kong wisdom tooth and that the progress would be slow and id likely have to keep them for 4 years. required po bang ipatanggal wisom teeth ko?
   (note: i havent felt any pain nor did i know na i have wisdom teeth)

2. around which month am i able to eat anything? as of now nangangati po gums ko and i wanna scratch the nerves so bad and i get this feeling of wanting to bite down on something to stimulate my gums lol

3. last night i heard something click tas nawala ung pressure on my tooth. checked the mirror, wala naman po natanggal. asked my ortho and sabi nya its fine + partner said that my gums might be soft so my tooth shifted immediately. what could the clicking sound possibly be?

though im happy i got my braces. i now have full iron armor with enchantments + widom teeth complete which is why antalino ko siguro hahahaha

Hi! I've been a lurker on this subreddit for a while but I've been scared to post on here as I felt intimidated. However, I felt compelled to post as I did quite a dive of the case of this recent school shooting and how it quickly alarmed me as a high school student. So, here's what I've gathered

Two students, 14 and 15 years old, were involved in the shooting incident that transpired on Monday morning, June 22, 2026, inside 2 classrooms at San Jose National High School in Barangay San Jose, Tacloban City. Upon arrest, what one of the suspect was wearing sparked a discussion and conclusions as to what the motive was.

KMFDM: what is it and why it matters

simply, KMFDM is a German band that stands for "Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid" which translates to "No pity for the majority". KMFDM was a favourite band of Eric Harris; one of the shooters who partook in the Columbine High School Massacre. From my perspective, this already creates a motive as I've done my assignment on American school shootings a while back. There are a lot of signs of when students plan these kind of stuff. Teens often see these things and goes "woah this created such an impact. I should do the same".

What was the motive?

This was never clear. As the authorities have speculated that this was a case of bullying, RMN Zamboanga released screenshots of posted that there were conversations between the two suspects apparently aware of the juvenile law and that they plan to do it again as soon as they get out. The thought of this is sickening.

since they're minors, they'll be placed in IJISC (Intensive Juvenile Intervention and Support Center). basically a rehabilitation for minors until they turn 18. After they turn 18, system decides if they're good to go or good to go to prison -- which in my opinion, they deserve.

Possible influences

I have spoken to my partner. He thinks its an accelerationist propaganda. Basically leaning far-right and follows neo-nazi ideologies. So many teenagers and even kids have been exposed to this kind of topic.

I personally think he's right. It is quite obvious that these kids were influenced by western media, western ideologies, western beliefs and whatnot. Take this as an example

Another post was made, saying that they were rather influenced by Duterte's extrajudicial killings. I see the correlation, but I've also been around teenagers who are apolitical (which is bs) and purely rely on western media. In my opinion, these kids couldn't care less. In their sick minds, they're young and wild and free simply cause they're teenagers and they know they're not getting prosecuted for shit. No, I am not a DDS, just to be clear.

Why not ban social media for teens under 16?

Pag may gusto, may paraan. As much as this sounds appealing, it is a major flaw regarding data privacy, or your privacy in general. The idea is to upload photos of your ID to show that you are of age to use social media. This creates more reason for teens to rebel. How? I've experienced it firsthand. A teen, who uses facebook, reddit, instagram and many others with different birth dates just to get on. To add to this, people nowadays can use VPN to access the inaccessible. Really, teens will make a way to get what they want.

What happens to their guardians?

One of the shooter's guardian, his aunt, is a PNP officer. As of now, she is facing charges as the gun wouldn't end up in the hands of a teen if it weren't for her.

There are more to this. This past week, cases of violence inside the school premises have risen at an alerting rate. I worry for the safety of myself, as well as other students. I've gathered photos and videos and you may view them here.

I cannot word my thoughts as this news is fresh. My heart goes out to the students and their families. This is way beyond salvageable. No students should go through this. This post does not feel long enough to cover all facts and released evidences, but I hope this post brings clarification to anyone who has not seen the news or aren't aware of how deep this case goes.

Teens my age are either far ahead of their time, or are too narrow-minded. This goes to show how our country is failing, and how it truly shows that it always starts at home. As a teen, I see this as a threat. School shooting feels too normalized that people around the world start idolizing it. I see how they get into it, but it truly makes me sick to my stomach that they CAN act upon it. thousands of similar cases being broadcasted throughout USA and now it's become news in our country. How many more similar cases are going to happen? How many students have to suffer for the government to actually do something? How can we even prevent this? It's way beyond sickening and I fear I'll go through something similar throughout my school years

1. do i have the option to have my teeth shaved? as you can see may mamelons po ako on almost every tooth
   - if i have the option to shave it down, how much would it usually cost?
   - do i do it before or after braces?

2. approximately how long do i have to keep the braces before my teeth fully become straight?

3. what are some tips and tricks for brace care sa unang buwan?

4. ill admit i have build up sa teeth ko dahil i didnt take proper care orally due to mental health. separate po ba ang bayad for cleaning?

5. i have a strong sweet tooth. around how long do i have to not eat sweets for? sorry na pue… di po kasi talaga maiwasan ang sweets since its my fav…….

6. not sure if its placebo effect but do braces actually change your appearance in a way?

overall, my teeth dont look as bad (i think). marami pong nagsasabi na i have nice teeth but im really insecure about it. im worried na it wont look good since i have quite big teeth and i HATE it. my teeth looks like it has a symmetrically-asymmetrical kind of alignment.. if that makes sense po… except for my sungki on the upper set. second to the last photo did not do me justice pero halos pareho lang po sila ng left side

i hope someone entertains my questions kasi ive never talked about my teeth with anyone really. its one of the things id like to focus on in terms of physical well-being
