For sale by owner not working…when will owner give up?

I toured this house in the golden triangle of Marina Del Rey. It has been listed and de-listed several times over the last 6mo but the owner clears out the listing history each time so it looks like a new listing. It was a very bizarre open house as she followed me around the whole time. At the end she asked if it would work for me and when I said it wasn’t the one, she kept asking why and tried to rebut each of my reasons. I felt like I couldn’t leave. Very odd. I see it’s listed again with another open house tomorrow.

Anyone know why this isn’t selling…other than price? 😂

Yes, I know price is always the reason but they’ve dropped the price to basically what they paid in 2021. This seems cheap for the square footage, does anyone have any insight into this property and why it isn’t selling as much as its comps in the area?

7m old now taking 4 naps?

My 7mo old is sleep trained and was on a 3 nap schedule for a long time. Suddenly this week she can’t stay up more than 2 hours and is taking 4 naps. We are on day 5 of this. Is this temporary and I just let it happen? Or something I need to fix?

Song at least 20ish years old that a beach musician would sing while playing guitar with the words “my baby” appearing briefly in the middle

I was at the beach and there was a street musician singing a song while playing guitar. I can’t remember the song at all except that in the middle there’s a line that just says “my baby” as its own phrase. It’s not central to the chorus, it was just thrown in between 2 lines. I do know the song had an easy cadence to sing along to. I also believe the song to be at least 20ish years old. Could be older. I am 30 and have known it for a long time.

PLEASEEEEE help if you have any idea what this could be! Thank you!

I am following the below recipe that calls for truffle oil. Do I buy white or black? Is truff a good brand?

This is the recipe:

Whipped Sheep's Cheese
40 servings

INGREDIENTS:

Sheep's Cheese
6.10 lb sheep's cheese
700 g cream cheese
450 g heavy cream

Truffle Honey
400 g of honey
40 g of truffle oil

STEP 1
Add heavy cream, sheep's and cream cheese to the bowl of a stand mixer with paddle attachment. Mix it for 12-15 minutes at high speed. It should come out light and fluffy.
Scrape the sides down with a spatula if necessary.
HONEY TRUFFLE OIL
Add both ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix it well, then transfer it to a squeeze bottle, and keep at room temperature.
AT PICK UP
Scoop 3-3.5 oz of whipped cheese in a wood board, use the backside of a paella spoon to press cheese down and smear the cheese on to the board, drizzle some truffle/honey on top sea salt and dust some pimenton to finish. (serve it with some grilled bread)

Finally tried LA’s maple block bbq

Grew up in the south. This was very decent barbecue. The turkey was extremely juicy and the brisket was delicious. Cornbread was a little dry, Mac and cheese was a miss.

Importantly, I didn’t feel like shit the rest of the day as I often did after Texas bbq so they must use less sodium or something.

Would definitely go back. And eventually I want to try Heritage bbq in OC to compare.

Anywhere on westside (preferably Venice area) that has legit frozen food?

I want to bring some frozen meals to new parents. But I don’t want to just get stuff from the grocery store. Are there any local restaurants in the Venice ish area that have frozen food to buy?

Sleep regression, or doing something wrong?

Sleep trained our 7 month old using Ferber method at 5 months. It was going pretty well and we got 4-5 hour stretches for the first time.

6 months got vaccines followed by illness and now the last few weeks have been hell. Screaming at bedtime like crazy for 30 min and wakes every 2.5 hours.

Schedule is 2.5/2.5/2.5/3.

We tried transitioning to 2 naps but that seemed to make things even worse so we added it back.

The screaming at bedtime sounds more like overtired to me than anything, but I don’t know why since still getting 3 naps in.

Help?

Is switching between 2 and 3 naps each day bad in any way?

We are sleep training my 6 month old, who varies between 2 and 3 naps each day. But total nap time is the same (~3 hours). Some days she just really wants to nap after only like 2 hours and other days she naturally has longer wake windows.

Is it ok to be inconsistent with this and just go based on her preferences that day?

Anyone know what’s replacing the Fatburger in Marina Del Rey?

Looks like a restaurant opening but all I can see is a blue electric sign that says Organic. Anyone know what’s coming?

How to solve 2:30am wake

We used Ferber to sleep train our 6 month old and she goes to bed independently at night no problem around 7:30. She will usually wake around midnight to feed, and then goes back down. But she consistently wakes up around 2:30 or 3 and can’t be settled back into crib. Feeding doesn’t help. If we let her cosleep, sometimes she can go back to sleep but oftentimes she just tosses and turns like crazy until 5 or 5:30 when she would prefer to be up for the day. We try to make her stay semi asleep in a dark room until closer to 6:30.

Current schedule is 2/2.5/2.5/3 with a cap of 3 hours of naps. Ideally she’d sleep from 7:30pm to 6:30am, but I know not all babies sleep 11 hours and honestly I’d be fine with 5:30 if we can get her to stay asleep until then!!

What am I doing wrong? Why is she always waking at 2:30 and how do we get her to go back to sleep?

My 6mo old wakes every hour and I need to sleep train, planning to use Ferber method. Right now, he sleeps in a bassinet in my room and we put him down using Ferber but after his first wake, we end up reactively cosleeping since the wakes are so frequent, he can’t be soothed and I simply can’t listen to 30 min of crying when he’s right next to me.

So, it is time to fully sleep train in his own crib. Is it okay to move him into his own room and do all of this at once?

I read you should get them familiar with their crib first by doing naps in there. But right now, he will only contact nap, and I don’t want to throw off his day sleep right before we try to sleep train.

I know that placing a baby on their stomach to sleep is not safe due to risk of SIDS from overheating, re breathing exhaled air, choking, etc. But yet it’s safe to let them sleep on your tummy on your chest (if you’re awake!). Why doesn’t this pose the same risks? What’s the difference?
