Bunny family under skirted deck

Hello fellow homeowners! We have a skirted deck in the back of the house. I can’t see under it whatsoever. I just noticed a tiny little bunny sneak out and back in from under the deck via a small 3” wide gap at the edge of the skirting where it meets the house. Any concerns with a family of bunnies under the deck? From everything I’ve read they will simply use the space under the deck as a temporary home until the babies go out on their own in a few weeks. Doesn’t appear that they will do any damage along the foundation wall or to the deck posts. Thoughts? TIA!

Fair price for 2026 CX-50 Hybrid PP

I’m in northeast Ohio and have reached out to all dealers within 100 miles. The best offer I’m getting is $1,700 off MSRP and 1.9% financing for 60mo. I could trade the 1.9% rate for an additional $2,500 off, but the rate is the better deal for me. Should I keep shopping around? TIA!

Disappointing delay experience at MEM

Flight from MEM to CLT was announced to have a delay in the same minute boarding was supposed to start. According to the gate agent, the captain “did not know” when we would depart. Gate agent and app started actively changing everyone’s bookings. About 40 minutes later, gate agent announced that flight will depart 1hr 45m late. Flight is boarding now, and I was actively rebooked when I didn’t need to be. I could’ve made my original connection, and worst case I would have taken the next flight out to my final destination.

Now I’m still sitting in MEM waiting for the next flight to CLT with a very tight connection to try and catch the last flight of the night to my final destination.

Is AA always this aggressive with automatic and gate agent rebooking? This felt super unnecessary. A little patience before acting would have gone a long way for many passengers. The currently-boarding flight appears to be departing about half full.

Replacing closet light bulbs with screw-in “fixtures”

All the closets in my house have light bulb sockets in them for illumination. They are completely functional, but I’m wondering if it is safe to use a screw-in “fixture” with integrated LED lighting to give a more finished look. Something like this: https://a.co/d/0jd4R7OP

Curious about both electrical and mechanical / structural safety with the added weight. Thank you!

Curious of the internet’s thoughts on this conversation with a long-time friend of 17 years

ETA: I had not committed to supporting him at this year’s marathon. This was still an open question. Adding this clarification based on a couple of replies!

I’ve been friends with this person since college. We’re both in our mid-30s now. I was best man at his wedding. We’ve been very close over all these years, but I’ve never enjoyed the guilt tripping to hang out per his schedule. It really wasn’t an issue when I was always down to hang out as a single guy. I met my now-wife 8.5 years ago and moved to a different city (2hr drive away) 6.5 years ago. I’ve felt like the guilt tripping has gotten progressively worse ever since then, and especially so now that he and his wife have two young kids. My wife and I don’t have kids at this point, and I often sense an attitude from him of “well you must always be free since you don’t have kids”.

This text conversation happened a couple of months ago regarding me taking a day trip to support his marathon event. I’ve done this many times in the past, and I don’t mind doing it whatsoever… involves everything from watching his kids to driving around to different mile markers to cheer him on and give him snacks / drinks.

While we have always been great friends, we of course each have our own friend & family circles in our respective cities. I say this mainly to call out the fact that I’m not the only person who could support him for this marathon.

I’ve always put up with the guilt tripping over the years, but this time put me over the edge a bit. I couldn’t support him this year because my wife’s work had a summer picnic event where everyone would be attending with their families. I had to make a choice due to this schedule conflict, and the choice was very clear in my mind to attend the picnic with my wife. What specifically put me over the edge was his use of the term “wife guy”… I’ll leave it at that.

We haven’t spoken in almost two months since this text conversation ended. This is the longest we’ve ever gone without speaking. And honestly, I’ve been so much less stressed because every text conversation with him over the past 8.5 years has always caused me anxiety.

Thoughts on awning in northeast Ohio

Got a few quotes and I really like Marygrove’s offering. $7,500 fully-installed cost for a 20x12’ motorized retractable awning. The width will cover everything we need above our deck, but I’m a little cautions about the 12’ outward reach. We have a west-facing deck that goes out 16’, so the last 4’ will not be covered by the awning. I think this will be OK since the worst sun is day-time sun directly above the deck, and sun in the evening will be filtered through a decently wooded area. We will also have a hand crank to adjust pitch if we want to help block the evening setting sun.

Thoughts or feedback? TIA!

Motorized Retractable Awning Price

Local SunSetter dealer came out for a site visit today and gave me this price. See image. I have Marygrove coming out in a few days to compare pricing. Is this about the going rate for a large retractable awning these days? I thought this would be closer to $6-7k since there are no add-ons (besides the warranty the sales guy added without my consent lol). Install is a straightforward into siding.Thank you! https://imgur.com/a/NTQ41BV

RZ 450e as a daily driver for my partner

Hello friends! I’m currently the proud owner of a 2026 NX 350h and love everything about the vehicle. So much so that my partner is now interested in the RZ 450e as their daily driver. We live in northeast Ohio so the winter weather and corresponding range decrease will be very real (I’m anticipating 30-40% reduction during extended cold spells?). I’m very interested in real-life feedback about the RZ 450e as a daily driver! I’ve seen all the YouTube car reviews and they basically walk you through the spec sheet… the first one or two are helpful, then they quickly become very repetitive.

My partners’ daily work commute is 40 miles roundtrip. I mapped out what might be a crazy Saturday of running around town between seeing friends / family, shopping, and running errands… and that totaled out to 135 miles. It doesn’t seem like range will be an issue at all, especially considering we will be installing a home charger. We don’t road trip a whole lot, and will likely take my NX when we do.

Thanks in advance for your feedback! Very open to hearing all pros, cons, and everything in between.

Just had a set of fiberglass French doors installed a week ago and noticed this tiny ding near one of the hinges. It took me a full week to notice it, so it really is tiny. I know that manufacturing is always imperfect, but would you submit a warranty claim over this? Note: this did not result from swinging the door open so far that the hinge damaged it. I tested this theory and there is other stuff in the way before that could happen.

EDIT/RESOLVED: I did not allow my phone to connect to wireless CarPlay after turning it on. All steering controls worked perfectly when CarPlay was not connected. I then soft restarted my iPhone and connected to wireless CarPlay. All controls continued to work correctly. I think this was an iPhone issue (and iOS 26 has had its fair share of bugs). For reference, two days ago I thought my NX’s wireless charger was faulty… turns out it was my iPhone and it worked after a soft restart.

See attached video. Anyone else have this issue? I have a 2026 350h. The video shows me pressing the volume buttons, the car is registering that I’m clicking these buttons, but the volume won’t actually change. This is the case for almost every button, both the normal ones and the capacitive touch ones. Super frustrating because I can’t use cruise control. Thanks in advance!

How do I get the passenger seat heat/cool to be off with no passenger and on auto when there is a passenger? I had it operating this way, but then a passenger changed their temperature knob… I eventually went back to Sync, and now the passenger auto heat/cool seat is always on. And it actually heats / cools the seat even with no passenger. Climate Concierge is on. TIA!
