Seven m.o. ONLY feeds when sleeping. HELP!!

Hi all, I’ll try to keep this short.

Somehow I’ve gotten into a position where it seems like my baby almost exclusively eats around sleeping and never otherwise. Before naps, before bedtime, and during overnight feeds.

I have tried everything to get her to eat during the day while awake. She just arches her back, gets fussy, and shoves the bottle away. If I’m lucky she might take it right after a nap or during an outing.

The thing is she is capable of falling asleep at bedtime without the bottle. It doesn’t happen all the time but she is capable (we sleep trained). When she wakes up during the night it’s because she’s genuinely hungry from skipping most meals during the daytime.

We try solids and most of the time she wants nothing to do with them. She’s more interested in our table food than her own purées.

Does anyone have any advice for getting her to eat during normal hours of the day ??? I’m so frustrated and stressed. Thanks.

How did the pitcher method help prevent formula waste?

Hi all, my SO and I unfortunately throw away lots of formula for baby. She can be quite unpredictable with how hungry she is. The problem is if she finishes a bottle and is still hungry, in the time it takes to get more milk she’s pissed and refuses the bottle. Separate problem I guess lol.

Anyway, I’ve seen many people mention on here using a pitcher helps prevent throwing away milk. How so? I’d love to stop throwing away barely touched six ounce bottles. Thank you!
