AP5 K tri lug/thread protector removable?

is it the actual barrel on an AP5 threaded or is just the tri lug end threaded? I want to use an extra plan b adapter I have laying around. Basically, I want (if even possible) to remove the tri lug and install a plan b. thanks a million for your time and help.

Winchester 94 screws.

Can I shoot my 94 safely without these screws. I took the scope mount off and im waiting on the plug screws to come in the mail. The other bigger screw, forward one, ive already replaced with factory screw.

I recently got this post 64 1972 and I REALLY want to try it out. BUT! I dont want to hurt myself or my rifle.
