How can I make my all white apartment more welcoming and comfortable just for myself?

There's nothing to see when I look out the window. And I'm home a lot. I have some small pieces of art that I can hang on the wall. But I need a whole atmosphere change.

I'm disabled. So that means both low income and I'm home most of the time.

What unusual things have you done with walls or ceilings to make a place more appealing?

What can you do with your windows if the view outside them is just a sheet metal fence?

Usually when I choose an apartment I'm picky about what I see when I look out the windows. However, I had to make an emergency move. I feel fortunate I got a place safe and clean where everything works as it should. I even have two bedrooms, plenty of space.

Hi everyone. I had to replace my iPad. The newer version does not pick up my speech or voice to text well at all. So my first question is, where exactly a microphone on this thing?

Does anyone have tips for getting it to listen?

Is there a voice to text app, free, that I can add?

Also also interested in a good text reader app.

Now I’m going to do the sad vent thing. I used to be a teacher. I would rewrite reading passages to make them more accessible for students with low literacy skills. It was a project I enjoyed . I used to love reading and writing stories .. Making things with my hands. Now I have problems with my eyes that make it painful to focus on a screen or an even book with standard size print. Massive inflammation makes my fingers feel stubby. Typing is a nightmare. Yet, I don’t want to give up on reading and journaling.

I came home Sunday evening after tonight out of town. Turned on the faucet and the water looked cloudy, chalky. Has this happened to anyone else? Was there any notice on the news maybe about why, and when it would be cleared up?

First off, yes IATA. I have a special talent for losing and forgetting things. But I used to work in law enforcement. And I mention that I’ve passed many background checks in my profile. So I feel extra shitty thinking they might have picked me for having no criminal history.

Well I forgot my toothpaste. Went rummaging in bathroom drawers. Happened to notice the gummies, indica. Later that night I thought I’d forgotten my prescription medicine. I cants sleep without it. I got a gummy, thinking I’d replace it. (Found my stupidity medication right after I put the thing in my mouth. )

Went to dispensary and bought the exact same brand and product. Opened it and the color was slightly different. Darker, noticeable. There were five gummies, do you think they’ll notice there’s now four?

Thing is I feel worse about rummaging through their drawers than taking it. Had the gummies been in a kitchen drawer, I’d just tell them I took one and replaced it.

They did say I could use either bathroom but…I usually don’t go opening drawers. If you are a host, what do you think? I know in my heart I meant no harm, I’m not really a thief.

I don’t want to be a bad person. I’m not interested in a relationship with him. And I’ve told him I’m not looking to be partnered again. We’re going to hang out next weekend. I hope we end up shagging. I feel like this is something men have done to me over the years. Out of nowhere the guy who ghosted suddenly wants to see you. It’s not a revenge thing. I just have needs. I actually thought long and hard about who I might hit up again. This one is the least difficult. Neither of us had cheated, we were not serious before.

Hi all. I keep hearing ads for legal zoom. Normally, my reaction to anything advertised on Spotify is - if they paid for that ad, I can't afford their prices.
Has anyone used them? Or other online will service you would recommend?
I need a will, advance directive. I also need to write a lease or roommate agreement. I'm not a real landlord. But other people rent rooms and pay rent in my house. Need to get written contracts so they can show it to whomever to build their credit.

I am missing out on a couple of community events I really wanted to go to today.
So I'm indoors. On the floor stretching out every place that hurts now and then. Trying to accomplish basic task. What can I listen to that won't irritate me? I used to love the news. Now it's all about horrible things happening related to politics. I'd like to hear something inspiring. But not religious. Don't want to hear about relationships. I'm single for life and my disability has a lot to do with it. Love good mystery. But not if it involves solving brutal murders. Documentaries about artist or musicians are welcome.

Sorry I'm rambling. Can't think straight anymore.
I can't even get dressed. Put on a pair of leggings just to see if they fit. I can't change my clothes. The feeling of air hitting my skin when I take something off is too difficult.(I wish I understood how that even happens.)

I’ve learned I do better avoiding sugar and carbs. Now I’m wondering How To Use foods that fight inflammation. Every day I drink about half a cup of tart cherry juice with lemon. For a While I did apple cider vinegar. As I poured my juice this morning, I wondered, am I drinking enough? And all these dark foods and spices, how much should I concome and how often? Please share your experiences. Bonus gratitude if you share how you measure your ingredients. TIA

I didn't file last year. That's a whole other post. Trying to get it done for this year. I think line 36, it say to enter last year's gross adjusted income. What do you do if you don't have that? Is there a way to estimate?

To go back and do my 2024 taxes first won't help. There was a year I had zero income and didn't file. When I had an income again, well, it's been a mess but I'm trying to get it done.
