Does anybody recognise this brand?

I'm looking through some old crochet hooks, and embroidery hooks, and alongside Aero, Milward, Star, Grand Slam and Stratnoid, there's a set with this logo on them. I'm struggling to get a good shot on my phone.

If you could have a bunch of cats, what breeds would you choose?

Imagine there were a number of purebred cats that needed homes. They're kittens, so you're starting from scratch. You have plenty of room and more than enough money and time to give them everything they need, and more.

What would you have, why, and what would you name them?

***They have no breed specific health issues***

Post Sepsis Syndrome?

I'm sure this is old hat for most, and many will roll their eyes at the sight of the subject, but my GP just mentioned the name of the effects I'm living with. She talked about it a while back, but didn't say there was a recognised condition.

I had sepsis in February, and am wondering what symptoms you experienced, how long it lasted, and if anybody found they had permanent, or long term lasting effects?

Also, does anything help you?

Thanks for any replies

Looking for Keratosis Pilaris advice for a regime and/or products

Hello.

I've had KP all my life. It's mostly occuring on my upper arms, outer buttocks/hips, and upper thighs. No matter what I try, I can't even get rid of it, let alone keep on top of it.im

I don't know if there's any relevance, but I have wavy/textured hair, dry skin, no acne ever, very atopic, sjogrens syndrome (which I guess really doesn't help with the dryness), am white, female, 48, and currently live in the UK.

I'm looking for advice for products and a routine. Thanks for any advice and suggestions.

Hair salon or stylist recommendations

Hello. I'm looking for personal recommendations here. I have textured hair, past my shoulders. I've recently had a severe illness, so I lost a lot of hair and the new growth is really curly, but the old hair is more coarse or textured. So I guess I'm looking for someone who is experienced, and will know what will work not just for my hair, but my lifestyle. It feels like a lot to ask, but I'm sure there are many who've felt dragged down by their hair.

I'm happy to travel all over Tyneside for the right person.

Thanks in advance.

UK Ladies - What's your favourite small band bra?

I'm a 28GG, and am only wearing Panache Allure and Panache Ana Plunge, but I'd like something different and I don't have the mental energy for a Bravissimo trip right now.

How do your cats wake you up?

I have one that does the usual "ahhhhhh" as loud as he can, and another that sits on my upper chest or neck and will gently lick my eyelid once or top lip once, along with the pawing at my shoulder. This morning she reminded me she needs her claws trimmed!

What's the science behind auras? Or even just that feeling that many get before a seizure?

When there are no actual symptoms, but just a feeling, like something isn't right. A gut feeling, so to speak. And then a person goes on to have a seizure, or absence. Can it be explained by science?

Realisation hurts

You know, my first time having sex was hurting, and I told him I wanted him to stop. He said "I'm nearly there" and carried on for a few minutes more while it hurt more and more as I laid there. I didn't know what that meant.

I stayed with him. If only I'd known.

NHS Staff, I see you. Thank you.

**Firstly, I'm not a staff member - I'm a patient, so I know this community isn't for me, and I'll respectfully leave after this post.**

In the past few months, I've required or been kindly offered the help and support of many people who work for the NHS. My life has been saved and supported in many ways, sometimes without me asking, or indeed even realising I needed it. I've had a diagnosis that came out of the blue, that shocked the consultants discovering it, so much so that he consulted his colleagues, superiors, and even a professor at our local university. This has all happened alongside a massively traumatic series of life events, with continuing issues, and just about everybody has gone out of their way in kindness, compassion, and very importantly - have made sure to do everything they can to keep me safe.

I have seen, and continue to see the stresses and strains the staff and volunteers are under, and this often comes with inadequate pay, in my opinion.

Please know that you are cherished. You are valued. And our nation would crumble without you.

But most importantly, thank you.

I don't know what else to do. My cat is peeing in the house in protest.

10 year old high needs spotted purebred. One of them. Menace. He had free access to the outside previously, but now I'm living in flats.

His sibling is fine with the shift. He's very not. They both walk on leads/harnesses. BUT, this boy, if I don't take him out WHEN HE WANTS TO GO, he is so very dermanding. Vocal, in my face. Waking me early.

And, like just now, again, if I dare have breakfast before bending to him - going straight out the door - I mean he'd have me go out there naked. He shouts whilst I'm clearly getting ready, picking his things up. He looks at me, squats, and urinates on the sofa. Not a spraying his scent, like they do outside, but squat, looking me in the eye.

He has two large clean litter boxes, in different rooms. Different types of litter, for choice.

When I take him out, he often will often halt at the external door, not wanting to go further. And a lot of the time, he just wants to sit.

He's a large cat. 8kg. I'm trying really hard to give him lots of enrichment via toys, level 4 dog puzzle feeder boards, YouTube TV for cats - and dogs, bringing other humans to visit, having him meet with neighbours' dogs, taking him and his sibling in the stroller to new places.

He's been checked. Even had his urine tested. He's just a twat. And I'm really distressed.

He's currently shut in the bathroom for a time-out. He understands patterns and routines, so I believe he understands cause and effect, too. It Also gives me a moment.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a behaviourist?

My neurologist thinks strangulation could be the cause of my epilepsy

Has anybody been through this? I'm feeling pretty wobbly because if he's right, it's yet another blow.

Microchip feeders

If you have more than one cat and they require different diets, have you used microchip feeders successfully?

If so, which type?

If you have highly intelligent cats, is there anything you've had to do, or have you tried other feeders before you've landed on the ones you're currently using?

If you know of any discount codes, I'd appreciate it.

Many thanks!

Does anyone lose their vocabulary?

Just that? No other symptoms, just varying degree of language deficit. Ranging from not being able to find the right words, to not being able to speak at all.

Family doctor's pharmacist want me to change my meds

I've only just been diagnosed with focal seizures, and started on Lamotrigine. My family doctor's pharmacist called to tell me that some of the meds I was already on can cause seizures, so they want me to taper off them. I'm uncomfortable about it. I think they said it was Topiramate, Lisdexamfetamine, and Mirtazapine. I can cope with the Topiramate, but tapering off the other two worries me. Moreso the Lisdexamfetamine.

I've taken the Topiramate for a very long time, but the other two were new last year, so they're not the cause of the seizures. None of the meds are. It's due to a thrombosed dural avm. I guess I'm thinking out loud here.

It's just a lot.

Do you drive?

I've just been diagnosed, a week ago, and am still driving. I have focal seizures, and don't lose awareness. My neurologist said as long as I don't lose awareness, I'm ok to drive. I feel like I need reassurance though.
