Some people on here seem to think production gets involved with gameplay

I've seen multiple comments hypothesizing about production getting involved with gameplay. This is not your average "reality TV" show, and I think some people get confused, partially because some series like the US have mostly reality TV participants.

Here's a quote from Rhys Nicholson being interviewed from AU3, comparing it to their experience presenting Drag Race Down Under (timestamped, spoilers in thumbnail and title of video):

>"...having worked on the production side as well, it's like... I thought they'd be really in our pockets and really like producing... like, it's producing on a grand scale and they are an incredible team. But they do not... there's not a moment of "go and talk to them", "go and make that happen", like, you know... on Drag Race where you used to kind of like "now everyone talk about the biggest trauma in your life" and then you know they'll cut that together. There was just none of that."

There's a quote from Claudia where she talked about >!Paul!< from UK2 being banished, and the feeling in production while watching the entire room erupt was absolutely electric. That was their firsthand experience that they couldn't have scripted or micromanaged any of that magic into existence.

We don't know that every production around the world operates in strictly the same way. But by and large, from what we know, they primarily treat it as a competition, with strict rules in play, let things play out organically, and are then tasked with creating a TV show out of the resulting footage, rather than trying to decide how the game should play out based on what they think would be most entertaining for the audience.

^((This should be pretty darn obvious based on how AU2 turned out))

I know there are exceptions, feel free to comment below - I think India could be one? - but I'd be confident in saying this is generally the ethos of productions across the franchise.

Tyler Oliveira just released a video on a megachurch leader in Mexico with a very similar story to the Hindu leaders tied to Peter Spiegel

Naason Joaquin Garcia is the International Director of the La Luz del Mundo Church and calls himself Christ's one true apostle. It was founded by his grandfather, Aarón Joaquín González, who founded the church in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1926. His son would (somehow) inherit this and Naason was the 3rd generation in the family to be head of the Church.

He pled guilty in 2022 to multiple charges of sexually abusing minors. That was all they could convict him of, the charge sheet includes tons of other things like sex trafficking, production of child pornography and more.

Much like Prakashanand Saraswati, he reportedly had people close to him trafficking young girls, referred to by a prominent ex-member as "groomers" in this video, teaching them to obey him because "he is like God". The exact same playbook as Kripalu, who it was revealed in India Supreme Court documents in Ben's video, would say he was "incarnation of Lord Krishna" to these young girls.

So yeah, this is a thing that certain sick individuals do, apparently, and one that people who are in deep are blinded to. They use the actual good teachings of spiritual leaders to shield themselves from committing horrible acts. To be fair, I could be describing the Catholic Church in that sentence as well.

Oh, for what it's worth, I've seen a lot of Tyler's content. Some of it is good journalism, and some of it is pretty exploitative and race-driven incitement. I'd say this is the former.

For those convinced that Kirk's lapel mic exploded, watching the video frame by frame shows that it's still in tact as his t-shirt lifts up, and in fact gets lifted up along with the t-shirt.

Start the video at 4:41 if the timestamp hasn't carried over to here.

Usually, if something explodes, it ceases to exist because it, uh... exploded.

The mic is still there two frames after the force lifts his t-shirt. You can clearly see the lapel mic being lifted up along with the t-shirt it's attached to from the force of something else. That can't happen if the mic is the source of the force.

Conspiracy grifters have been making insane money pedalling this narrative for the past year, and it's all off your time and attention.

I know there will be some people in the comments arguing that things don't have to disappear after they explode. The cognitive dissonance is strong with this topic for some reason.

Lightweight DAP that has a fully mappable external button? I want to be able to favourite tracks in long playlists for potential DJing without turning on the screen every time.

I have to think there must be at least one out there, and hopefully it's not a super expensive, though I'm not opposed to investing if it's a good product. Equally if there's something super cheap and low quality out there, I'll happily get it just for this purpose.
