Baby tried avocado hours ago and now looks like a rash on her face

My baby is 5 months old, and I gave her avocado for the first time today. A little while later, I noticed some redness around one of her eyes and on the side of her face. She seems completely normal otherwise she’s acting like herself, breathing normally, and doesn’t seem uncomfortable but I’m really nervous. Does this look like it could be an allergic reaction? What should I do?

Why didn’t Andy confront Kelsey if her SD and her really broke up 2 years ago?

I was wondering why Andy didn’t ask Kelsey about the rumors swirling that her and her sugar daddy haven’t been together in 2 years ? I feel like Andy brought up rumors about every else but the most important one for Kelsey.

Senior dog keeping me awake all hours of the night

My Jack Chi is about 12 years old. Over the past couple of months, she’s been wandering around the house at night, constantly getting in and out of our bed. She also has frequent coughing fits due to a heart murmur and a collapsing trachea.

Around 3 a.m., almost like clockwork, her coughing gets much louder and she wakes us up. She also seems to be trying to get us to feed her.

We have an infant who sleeps better than our dog. The constant interruptions are causing serious sleep deprivation, and my husband and I have been arguing more because we’re both exhausted and frustrated.
Our vet prescribed gabapentin, but it doesn’t seem to be helping at all. We just started CBD and it’s not really doing much. I also forgot to mention she shakes all day as well.

Dentist recommending 8 front crowns

My dentist suggested crowns for my front teeth due to length, color, and wear from grinding. They quoted me about $11k and said I’d likely need around 8 crowns.
I keep going back and forth on it because it’s a big expense. I’m wondering if I might be able to get away with fewer crowns, or if 8 is pretty standard in cases like this.
My teeth really bother me visually and I do want to fix them, but I’d really appreciate second opinions and advice before moving forward.

Those who moved out of NJ where did you move ? & do you miss NJ?

Mid 30s, wife and new mom to a 4-month-old, and seriously feeling like NJ just isn’t sustainable for our family anymore.

Even though my husband and I make a great salary, we still can’t afford to buy a home here. We’re currently renting a “luxury” apartment, but even that feels like a stretch when you factor in everything else.

For families who left NJ, where did you go? Did it actually improve your quality of life, or did you end up missing it and coming back?

I was born and raised here and still appreciate the food and culture, but raising a baby here feels heavier than expected. Between the cost of living, housing prices, and overall pressure, it doesn’t feel like we’re building anything long-term here.

On top of that, we don’t really have much of a support system left in the area, and the day to day negativity is starting to wear on us more than it used to.

We’re at the point where it feels like staying is more about familiarity than practicality, and we’re seriously considering what a fresh start somewhere else would look like for our family.

11-Year Old Dog Waking Up at 2 AM and 4 AM Every Night Dementia/Sundowning or Something Else?

My 11-year-old female Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix has recently started waking up every night around 2 AM and 4 AM. She has a collapsed trachea and will make a honking/coughing sound until I wake up. Once I'm awake, she usually wants to go outside and then wants food.

I brought her to the vet, and they suspect she may be experiencing canine cognitive dysfunction (dog dementia) and sundowning. Her bloodwork was largely normal, and there weren't any major concerns found.
My problem is that this behavior is happening every night and has become very disruptive. It's affecting my sleep and frequently wakes up my infant as well.

For veterinarians who have seen this before: Does this sound consistent with dementia/sundowning, or are there other conditions that should be investigated? Are there medications, supplements, dietary changes, or management strategies that are commonly effective for reducing nighttime waking in senior dogs?
I'd appreciate any professional insight or suggestions on what questions I should be asking my vet next.

Which offer would you take returning back to work?

Need advice

I recently had a baby and asked my job about returning with a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

They responded with the following option:

They would require 3 days in the office, 1 day work from home and Fridays off. This would bring me to 32 hours per week, with my salary adjusted accordingly. I would keep my medical benefits and have flexibility with the two remote days.

My current salary is $95k which would be reduced to roughly $76k under this arrangement.

Or I could work 40 days a week keep my current salary and work 1 day from home

What would you do if you were me?
