Just a Simple and Pretty Moth
Saw them chilling on the outside of a window :>

Saw them chilling on the outside of a window :>
He's such a neat fella. Ive never seen a bagworm caterpillar irl before i found them :> Theyre getting more comfortable w me, and had explored my hand and arm for quite a while (they kept tripping over my arm hairs 😭 silly fella)
I dont have too many looks strictly adhering to the likeness of real butterfly species, but here, may you enjoy another oneee
A makeup look inspired by Pearl, a little wood satyr butterfly, that i took care of last summer. She was such a good sport to model for these pictures♥︎
The first 2 pics is of (what i believe to be) an abbot's bagworm moth and the last im not sure of the exact species yet, so ill have to wait for them to emerge as a moth to see what species they are. I have access to their host plants and the proper environment conditions and this isnt my first time caring for caterpillars, so please do not worry about their needs. Ill be keeping a close eye on them and making sure theyre well taken care of and appropriately provided for :>
Finished them as of today :D Im quite proud of it and happy im finally done working on it. This probably took me (easily) an upwards of 100 hours to make. Its all made from 100% raw wool using a felting needle
I havent had the opportunity to see one irl, so i guess ill just make one myself >< i recently got done felting the wings; I plan to touch them up after im done making the body
From left to right, halloween pennant dragonfly, eastern lubberman grasshopper, cloudless sulphur, blue dasher dragonfly, bar-winged skimmer (found deceased), and a lichen-carrying green lacewing.
I got so many good pics of them. They just sat there perched enjoying the sun
On a mission to join and post to all the nature based subreddits one by one it seems. Fungi as a whole are some of my fav organisms to observe and take inspiration from. They come in so many different shapes and colors and i do sometimes wish i was small enough to enjoy being able to chill on top of one. May all who see this enjoy the myriad of fungal photos ive taken :>
My favs are the hygroscopic earthstars (2nd photo)
I went out to eat w my family and some of my parent's friends to celebrate my dad's bday, and i guess i have another thing to celebrate, my first weevil! :D
Found this cutie at the grocery store last week. They look almost twice the size of the other one i found before
The last one you can barely see, they blend in so well
Ive had jumping spiders living in my room for several years now (not pets) and today i spotted one just chilling and tucked under my window blinds.
Found this little sweetie on the floor of my hallway this morning. They seem fine, and im going to release them when its night time :>
A pink and green duochrome nail polish w some green sparkle ontop
Theres so many of these guys where i live. Apparently they also dont mind (may even enjoy) posing for photos and make excellent models for it
