Scooter Riders on Nusa Lembongan

I would love to ride a scooter on NL but don’t have a scooter license and insurance doesn’t cover me. I know there isn’t grab or gojek on the island but are there still scooter taxis that will take you on as a passenger 🛵?

Specifically looking for Scooter Taxis on Nusa Lembongan

I’d love some help objectively assessing my body type. I’ve lost around 8 kg over the past 2 years and I’m starting to feel like I’m leaning out, but I still have moments where I feel “big” and struggle to see the changes clearly.

It’s so hard to view your own body objectively so I’d really appreciate some honest feedback. How would you describe my body shape/build and where do you think I should make changes/ focus on?

Extremely emotional after Yin Yoga

I did Yin Yoga for the first time this week and loved it, especially child pose on a bolster for a few minutes by just candle light, it was absolute bliss.
But it made me cry a lot. I suffered a huge loss 2 years ago and have dealt with it as well as possible and feel I’ve come out stronger. Yin Yoga brought up a very deep sadness I still hold (and probably always will) inside of me following this loss. I’ve been crying every day since the
Yin Yoga (I don’t cry often normally) and it’s kind of an acceptance, very deep grief but at the same time a lot of love and gratitude.

Despite having these huge emotions, I really want to go back to Yin Yoga.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Female 45 - leaning advice wanted

I have been eating well and training for almost 2 years (although I only started heavy weight training 6 weeks ago).
This progress shot is 6 months apart.
My goal is less body fat m in my legs, glutes, hips and tummy and rounder glutes.
Currently do 5 days of weights, 8000+ steps a days on average (including 12 3 30 workouts about twice a week) and I eat in a slight calorie deficit.

Any advice is welcome 🙏

Whatsapp Communication Styles?

Can I ask you

I've noticed with two German family members (different sides of the family and they barely know each other) - I shared the photos of my son off on travels in the family group with a family members, no reaction or comment from this particular family member on the photos I shared and instead she shares a photo of her and her family? And it’s definitely a pattern, not the first time she’s done this.

My German sister in law does the same as well.

I’m on good terms with both of them so I have no idea what this communication style is.

Has anyone come across this way of communicating - not commenting on pictures or reacting to them but instead sharing their own unrelated pictures?

I’ve been working out for almost 2 years and have lost 8kg during that time. I’m 1.67m and 64kg and still feel so big and chubby but might have some body dismorphia too.
Please give it to me real as to what you see.

(ignore the weird shadows in the photo, I tried to digitally clean up my daughter’s room, my body is untouched)

Gym Etiquette

Went to use the cable machine for glute kickbacks today. There are two cable stations, and one had a drink bottle and jumper next to it so I assumed it was in use and set up on the other one with my daughter.

About 30 seconds later, a woman came over and said she needed the station and both cables, and that it wouldn’t be long. I ended up just letting her use it, but I did feel a bit put off by the way it was handled.

Curious what others think — is there an unwritten gym rule here, or just a bit of miscommunication?

Training advice needed

Female 45

Have been working out at home for 18 months and have lost 8kg during that time and built muscle.

Recently started going to the gym. Want to
lose another 5kg of fat. But I don’t want to build more shoulder , arm and back muscle , don’t want to grow this area further and just maintain. I want to build more leg, glutes and ab muscles.

Can I skip upper body days and just do lower body, abs and cardio?

Heart Rate Spikes

I’ve been eating well and working out consistently for the past 18 months, but I’ve never really paid attention to pushing my heart rate. Most days — even with 13,000 steps, hill walks, and weights — my heart rate only gets up to around 115 bpm.

Today I tried the 12-3-30 treadmill workout and wow 😅 My heart rate spiked way higher than usual and I was absolutely dripping in sweat (I barely sweat otherwise).

I’m trying to shift the last few kilos and it made me wonder — does challenging your body with higher intensity workouts actually help move stubborn weight?

Do you pay attention to heart rate spikes during exercise? What kinds of workouts get you there?
