Due to widespread boycotts, Samyang has already removed all promotional content for ENHYPEN in China

Because of Nishimura Riki, ENHYPEN as a group will also be boycotted in China. Major brands, think it through China is one of the world's largest consumer markets, whether for luxury goods or retail food. Many brands consider their endorsers' reputation in China when selecting them; if they insist on using artists with scandals, it will be automatically assumed they've given up on the Chinese market.
"Bloody Paradise" (2:17) performed at one of the Busan concerts (260808)
It is better than "Knife"? (Both are the title tracks of their respective mini-albums, right?)
How's the choreo? (Watch it with the sound muted...)
Please give this some up upvotes. Please don't let the worst fans erase Mina.
reddit.comFor me, this is the extent one can reasonably criticize Ni-Ki's comments prior to Mina's passing.
I saw this on YouTube. It rings true to me. And it doesn't shield him but it also doesn't go too far in holding him responsible.
"I wish Ni-Ki had been more careful with what was, in effect, a mild but prolonged rant. He knows full well what engenes can be like, yet he mentioned a small group of specific fans ("other than those few cases..."), perhaps without fully considering how his words might be interpreted. Given how some fandoms operate, it was unfortunately predictable that engenes would try to identify those specific "few" fans and direct harassment toward them. It's a sad situation, and I can't help but think that, had those remarks not been made, this likely wouldn't have happened."

Addition:
The question is: "But for the negligent act (however politely and obliquely phrased and delivered), would the ultimate harm still have occurred?"
The answer is "no, probably not."
>"He was polite. Concert etiquette isn't inflammatory. He did nothing wrong."
To this now ubiquitous refrain (there are about five of them that everyone's using as shields), I'll paste my previous reply to someone in the thread:
Picture the situation: an idol is livestreaming to hundreds of thousands of intensely invested fans and very politely expresses his disapproval of a few fans’ behavior at a concert. He then spends five minutes discussing it in a remarkably serious and prolonged way. How out of the ordinary is that!
However politely delivered, what might such an unusually extended lecture (Did you actually watch all of it?) - one that refers to “a few” fans without identifying them - signal to fans who scrutinize every word and microexpression for clues about their idol’s feelings, particularly those who are inclined to attack anyone they perceive as having upset him? How might they respond?
There was already criticism of Mina’s behavior. But Ni-Ki’s very unusual and prolonged discussion of the issue arguably amplified that criticism by signaling to thousands of fans that someone had done something that seriously displeased him. The most extreme fans were then likely to start looking for the person or people responsible for that dissatisfaction. They'll identify and then pile-on, adding their most vicious hate to an already existing fire, turning it into an inferno.
The tone didn’t have to be aggressive or angry for it to function as a signal to those fans. In an already infamously toxic fandom (Has another K-pop fandom in the last decade prompted an actual completed suicide?), simply drawing prolonged, unusually serious attention to an unspecified group of offending fans can be enough to prompt the most obsessive members to go looking for someone to blame.
ENHYPEN Fan's Sister Confirms Her Passing, Shares Update
ENHYPEN Fan’s Sister Confirms Her Passing, Shares Update
May she rest in peace.
Recently, a popular ENHYPEN fansite tragically died after taking her own life during a TikTok livestream.
The incident reportedly took place at her officetel in Hangangno-dong, where she was broadcasting live on TikTok. The livestream is said to have captured the incident before it ended after police were called.
The Japanese fan, who lived in Seoul’s Yongsan District, had built a following of more than 80,000 people on TikTok. One of her most-watched videos features ENHYPEN’s Ni-Ki and has more than 1.5 million views.
Someone known to be close to the fansite has since shared another update.
A model and cheerleader named Minhee shared an Instagram story in multiple languages, stating that she had learned the news. She also shared a message stating that she would not be uploading any more updates on her account.
>I understand the concern and worry
>that have brought so many of you to this account.
>My beloved older sister,
>who was always kind and warm to everyone she met, has passed away.
>I only received this heartbreaking news early this morning, and at this time, I do not know anything beyond this fact.
>Even if I learn more in the future, I do not plan to share any further information or updates regarding my sister through this account.
>I kindly ask that you keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers, and please refrain from further speculation or inquiries.
>May she rest in peace.
>— OP
It is worth noting that the term unnie was used, meaning that the referring to her as “sister” might be due to the literal translation.
May she rest in peace.

I'm stanning the right person
"The reason i was able to promote with so much confidence and hold my head high was because of all of you. I really hope you know that"
"Even the reason i’ve become more positive and brighter is because of evers. I really want you to know that"
"And i hope you’re proud to call me your artist. I'm sure many of you already are but i think we’re the kind of people who can take pride in each other"
