Is it safe for a laptop?

Is it safe or normal for (gaming) laptop fans to always run at 90% speed (shown in GHelper) when playing games? And I mean always, it doesnt go slower while im playing games.. Temp is around 65-75 when playing, sometimes dips to 80 but only for short moment

Story Time ft. Trojan

Ngayon, June 29, I used my laptop on battery and nag drain siya ng mabilis like 20% in under 1 hour. So I checked the Battery Usage in settings and I found this. Windows Command Processor took 24% in the background.

Then nag run ako ng quick scan sa Windows Defender and unang try is walang na detect pero may notification na lumabas saying that there are files that were excluded in the scan so I checked it out. Those files were cmd.exe and some folder AppData\Local\Updates.. so I removed them from the excluded list and then ran the quick scan again.

And finally, the trojan showed up and so I removed it using Windows Defender. I later then restarted my laptop. After boot up, yung ram usage ng laptop ko bumalik sa normal. The end. HAHAHA as of now, nag hahanap pa ako baka meron pa eh.

Lesson learned: huwag na gumamit ng cracked apps / huwag na mag download from getintopc.

Iba parin talaga kapag alam mo pasikot sikot sa device mo.

Is it normal for a laptop?

Is it normal that when my laptop is plugged in and I power it on or restart it, the fans run at maximum speed, like it gets loud, then later cools down after a minute or maybe 3. I use GHelper. When plugged in I have the settings set to Mode: Balanced, GPU: iGPU + dGPU (Optimized) and Efficient at Guaranteed for CPU Boost and Best Power Efficiency

My laptop is Asus V16 Intel Core 7 240H RTX 5060

Where to update BIOS?

Hello everyone, so I just got a new laptop few hours ago, and it's my first genZ laptop (since i've been using a 2012 laptop)... I opened msinfo32 and saw my BIOS is 4/24/2025 which I think is outdated? My unit is Asus V16 Intel Core 7 240H RTX 5060 and I want to know where I can update my BIOS? I already uninstalled MyAsus and installed GHelper

Recommend an alternate for Asus V16

I really wanted to buy Asus V16 because of its minimalist design and light weight but also having performance. The shop where I was supposed to buy it said that the unit is phased-out for them, not sure if its for everyone or just them. Now I need an alternate for if Asus V16 is really phased-out for other shops as well. I need a laptop that is good for productivity, programming (coding, running emulators, vms, compiling, etc.), and playing games here and there (mostly light games and sometimes Triple A games), it should also be minimalist design like the Asus V16 and light weight, and also battery-wise. I don't like Macbooks sorry.
