Made a hard transport case for the Volca, curious what people think

Hey everyone,

I made a hard transport case for the Volca and wanted to share it here to get some opinions from people who actually use these little boxes. I don't have access to all of them but if I'm right with my measurements it should fit all of them.

The idea was to make something compact but protective enough for travel, storage, and just throwing it in a bag without worrying too much about it. It has a hard outer shell with EVA foam inside, so it keeps the Volca protected while staying easy to carry around.

I’m curious what you actually care about most in a case like this:

  • maximum protection
  • smallest possible size
  • extra room for cables/power
  • or something else

Would love to hear what you think or what you’d want differently in a Volca case.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Made a hard transport case for the Circuit tacks, would love some feedback

Hey everyone,

I recently made a hard transport case for the Circuit tracks and wanted to share it here to see what people think.

The goal was to make something that protects it properly for travel and storage without making it bulky. It has a hard outer shell with EVA foam inside, so it feels safe to carry around while still staying fairly compact.

I’d be interested to know what Circuit users would actually want most from a case:

  • slimmer and more portable
  • more protective
  • extra room for cables/accessories
  • or just as minimal as possible

Curious what your ideal Circuit case would be like.

Thank a lot for the feedback!

Hi everyone,

I’ve designed a small laptop stand and I have been trying to sell it.

I’m realizing that making the product and selling the product are very different skills, so I’m looking for someone in or around Zurich who would be interested in helping with, or possibly fully taking over, the marketing and sales side of it.

For now, I want to focus only on Switzerland and Europe, not worldwide shipping. The product is simple, lightweight, and aimed at people who want an affordable, minimal laptop stand. I’m trying to sell it at around 15 CHF, so the main challenge is finding the right sales channel, positioning, and shipping model where the economics still make sense.

There seems to be some interest already: my last reel about it got around 20k views, so I think the product has potential, but I need someone who is better at turning attention into actual sales.

What I’m looking for:

  • Someone who understands online sales, marketing, Etsy, Shopify, social media, local marketplaces, B2B, or similar
  • Someone who can think creatively about selling a low-cost physical product in Switzerland/Europe
  • Ideally someone local to Zurich so we can meet and discuss
  • Open to a partnership, commission model, revenue share, or another arrangement that makes sense

I can handle the product/design/production side. I’m looking for someone who is better at getting it in front of customers and turning it into sales.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to DM me. Happy to share more details, photos, and numbers.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I have a small Etsy store and I’m trying to figure out the cheapest way to ship a small laptop stand from Switzerland to third countries outside the EU.

The product needs to sell for around 10 CHF, but international shipping is killing the margin. As I understood from post, I cannot send it as a normal letter because it’s a commercial product going abroad and needs a customs declaration. As far as I understand, that means it has to be treated as a parcel/small goods shipment, and the price becomes too high. 7.5chf under 100 grams.

After shipping, Etsy fees, packaging, and materials, I literally lose money on each order.

Has anyone here found a cheaper way to ship small, low-value physical products from Switzerland to non-EU countries? Are there any alternatives to Swiss Post, special formats, customs-friendly options, fulfilment partners, etc?

I’d really appreciate advice from people who sell small products online from Switzerland.

Thanks!

Shop link: https://www.standnfold.com

I’ve been working on a small Etsy shop selling a foldable laptop stand and would really appreciate some honest feedback.

I recently started driving traffic from Instagram and got around ~170 visitors from one post, but ended up with 0 real sales. So I’m trying to understand where things might be breaking.

My questions:

  1. Do my product photos and listing presentation clearly communicate the value of the stand, or does it come across as too generic?
  2. Is there something off about my overall trust/credibility (reviews, branding, listing details) that would stop a first time visitor from buying?

About my shop / background:

  1. What inspired me: I wanted a laptop stand that was actually portable and easy to carry around, so I designed a foldable version that stays flat and simple to use.
  2. Why I think the product is worth buying: The main idea is convenience + portability. It’s meant to be something you can throw in a bag and use anywhere, rather than a bulky desk-only stand. I’m trying to position it as a minimal, practical solution rather than a generic accessory.

I’m mainly trying to figure out if the issue is:

  • how the product is presented
  • lack of trust signals
  • or something more fundamental

Appreciate any direct feedback.

I’m trying to figure out where things are breaking.

I had a Reel get:

  • 12.5k views

It brought ~173 visitors to my store (standnfold.com).

But:

  • 0 real sales

So people are interested enough to click, but nobody is buying.

At this level of traffic, I expected at least one sale.

For those who’ve been through this:

  • Is this usually a website/offer problem?
  • Or does this happen with cold social traffic?

If you had to fix one thing first, what would you focus on?

Trying to diagnose this analytically.

Traffic source:

  • Instagram Reel (12.5k views, 135 shares)

Result:

  • ~173 sessions on site
  • 0 conversions

My product´s etsy is called StandNFold

Given this, the failure is clearly post-click.

At ~170 sessions, I’d expect at least ~0.5–1% CVR → 1–2 sales.

So I’m trying to determine what’s most likely:

  • Complete value/offer mismatch?
  • Trust gap (low reviews / brand credibility)?
  • Or can cold social traffic realistically produce 0% CVR at this scale?

If you had to bet on one dominant cause, what would it be?

Thanks a lot!

Trying to understand this from a funnel perspective.

I posted a Reel that got:

  • 12.5k views

It drove ~173 visits to my store (standnfold.com).

Actual result:

  • 0 sales

So the funnel looks like:

  • Views → Visits: working
  • Visits → Sales: completely failing

At ~170 visitors, I would have expected at least 1–2 conversions even from cold traffic.

For those experienced with IG funnels:

  • Does this usually mean a trust/value issue on the landing page?
  • Or can cold Instagram traffic realistically convert at 0% at this scale?

Trying to pinpoint whether this is:

  1. Normal variance
  2. Weak offer / positioning
  3. Something else post-click

Thanks a lot for the help!

Hello I recently bought an action 6 to record some youtube mixes. The problem is that it randomly stops recording without any notice. Ive seen some posts about it but no solution. Has anyone fixed this? It records the first 17-18gb video and then records maybe 10 seconds of the next one and stops. The camera is not getting warm, has lots of space on the sd and full battery. Any help is appreciated!

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a new case concept that holds the OP-1 Field and OP-XY together in the same case, and I’ve just finished the first prototype.

The idea is to keep both devices together in one setup for transport and storage, while still making them practical to access. The devices are held in place with the velcro in the back of the devices. One of the main features of this design is that it has removable sides, so the jacks and USB-C ports stay accessible when needed.

Before I take it further, I wanted to get some feedback from people who actually use these devices.

A few things I’m curious about:

  • How many people here actually own both the OP-1 Field and the OP-XY?
  • If you do, do you use them together often enough that a shared case would make sense?
  • Does the idea of removable sides for access to the ports sound useful, or would you rather keep it simpler?
  • Does anyone have any experience with how strong the velcro in the back is? Ill be testing it like this for a while but I'm still curious if anyone has any stories.

It’s still early in development, so I’d genuinely be interested in hearing what people would want from something like this.

If you had both in one case, what would matter most to you?

Thanks a lot!
