I basically want to get my hands on old laptops (2007-13 era) for dirt cheap prices, I was thinking of repurposing them and running Linux distros to give them a new life.
Most of the Hindus seem to think Moksha, end of reincarnation cycle by merging with the supreme is the end goal
But by doing so I think we lose our soul's individuality.
The way I see it, Brahman is the supreme consciousness, sort of asleep
And its our souls the atman that lives its lives, accrues karma, experiences consciousness and when the vessel dies the Atman carries the experience with it.
Upon moksha you lose it all, there isnt another life. You just dissolve into Brahman
My question is for all the efforts my soul goes through to attain enlightenment why is dissolution the end goal?
I read about alternative, a Bhairava path part of Trika shaivism where the soul remains independent, free to pursue its own path.
While there's so much I don't know, and so much I still have to learn, I think pursuit of moksha isn't informed decision making.
This question probably gets asked a lot, but I am asking anyway - how to find ones without ISCKON influence
I started reading Bhagavd gita as it is and I hated how they are like do not read without a guru and let's just say I'd be violating the sub rules if I was honest about them.
My journey in understanding god is personal and I'd rather read it by myself, and learn & judge for myself.
I tried looking for authentic ones, but gita press is offering Hindi ones.
I can barely read Hindi & I'd appreciate it if someone were to help me find a English alternative.
I was hoping to purchase a paperback version and I'd appreciate it if you can recommend unbiased ones.
Commentary is fine, as long as it isn't too preachy
Its like these siblings are competing with each other to see who gets in more trouble 😤😭
Story time: These days there's too many Color kodi pillalu causing chaos in this city.
Yesterday I went to watch the new Spiderman movie with a friend, and for the entire second half a group of 5-6 of CH***ris just kept giving brain dead running commentary, in "hyderabadi" hindi ruining the film for everyone.
What disappointed me was not one person took accountability to kick them out (me included) & its got me wondering if its our silence they are taking for granted. No movie go over wants to intentionally ruin their night & nobody wants to play the hero. Especially considering the fact that these morons care more about their & being "tuff" over their own futures, so why would someone who values their own lives, want to throw it away picking a fight with them?
And this is not a one off instance, the usual dinner spots I go to with my friends like Yum Yum Tree near Nanakramguda for example, even they are infested with such crowds. I stopped going there after three such instances. One time one em tried to follow a girl into ladies washroom & the waiter stopped him.
And instead of feeling ashamed, that CH***ri kept on insulting the waiter, his mother & entire family for stopping him.
The management instead of calling the cops (I get that it affects their business hours, or there's some complications, but long term is this kind of crowd you want to entertain? ) just pulled the waiter away and let em finish their food.
The other two times, its the same annoying behavior, that stupid wannabe Hyderabadi cool slang like "Arey Beteeeee" & cheap remarks in between.
I stopped going to that place altogether and yesterday's theater experience just got me wondering tf is going on the city.
Recently I've also seen a few posts complaining how they are a nuisance in Bonalu events, especially near Golconda and how unsafe they are & how the police ain't doing shit.
What I want to know is, which localities or areas do they move in ?
How do they make a living? Who's even hiring them ?
Current ruling govt isn't exactly supportive of deportation, but how to file reports when I suspect illegal immigrants?
I am asking because I recently met one who set up a pani puri stall. He wore a Ohm tilak on his forehead, but his accent is not normal and I can tell he's not a local, and the QR code to receive payments is not a Hindu name.
This got me wondering if its an illegal setting up shop
