This footage was recorded during the evening of 4 August 2026 in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
According to the witness, four friends were sitting in a garden under clear skies when one of them noticed an intensely glowing, cigarette-like formation moving across the northern sky. It reportedly travelled smoothly and quickly without any audible sound, visible wings, rotors or exhaust plume.
The witness described the object as sharply defined to the naked eye, with its middle section appearing slightly different in colour. Around the moment the recording ends, it reportedly either disappeared from view or ceased reflecting or emitting visible light.
The submitted video lasts approximately 54 seconds. It contains no audio because the witness removed the original sound to protect the names and private conversation of those present.
An important error appears in the submitted report: the sighting was entered as occurring at 12:00 PM, although the recording was clearly made after dark.
The submitted MOV file contains an embedded timestamp corresponding to 10:21:15 PM CEST. However, because the file was edited to remove its audio before being uploaded, it is unclear whether this represents the original capture time or the creation time of the edited copy. The precise time of the sighting therefore remains unverified.
This timing error also invalidates the report's automated statement that no bright satellites were overhead and its linked aircraft check. Those results were generated for noon rather than the actual evening observation and cannot be used to exclude satellites or aircraft.
The strongest available conventional explanation is the recently deployed Starlink Group 17-53 satellite stack.
SpaceX launched 24 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 7:05 PM CEST on 4 August, with deployment occurring approximately one hour later. Publicly released orbital elements subsequently identified the satellites as a compact stack in an initial low-Earth orbit of approximately 276 kilometres.
A preliminary reconstruction using those orbital elements indicates that the Starlink 17-53 stack may have passed high over the St. Gallen area at approximately 9:41 - 9:49 PM CEST, subsequently moving through the north-western and northern sky. This is broadly consistent with the witness reporting that they were facing north.
The stack would also have remained illuminated by sunlight during much of the predicted pass. Sunset in St. Gallen occurred at approximately 8:52 PM, while nautical twilight continued until shortly after 10:00 PM.
Freshly deployed satellites remain closely grouped and may consequently appear as a compact luminous line or rod rather than the familiar formation of widely separated Starlink points. Phone-camera overexposure, limited focus and motion blur can further merge the individual satellites into what appears to be one continuous object.
The witness stated that they had seen Starlink before and believed this object looked different. They also reported that an expected Starlink train had passed several minutes earlier in another part of the sky. However, pass-prediction services may not immediately incorporate a formation launched only hours earlier, and the newly deployed 17-53 stack would have appeared considerably more compact than a developed Starlink train.
Descriptions of the formation as physically cigar-shaped, unusually low or exceptionally fast cannot be confirmed from the footage alone. Its distance, altitude, dimensions and true velocity were not measured. The video also records no sudden acceleration, abrupt turn, hovering or other clearly anomalous manoeuvre.
Current assessment: probably the freshly deployed Starlink Group 17-53 satellite stack. The orbital timing, viewing direction, twilight conditions and compact appearance are compatible, but a definitive identification remains prevented by the incorrect reported time and the absence of an untouched original recording with secure capture metadata.

This unusual footage was shared by u/No-Platypus-6049, who states that it was recorded over Medellín, Colombia, on 24 June 2026, at approximately the same time that a powerful double earthquake struck Venezuela.
The video shows a dark, geometric object drifting slowly through the sky. As it rotates, its appearance seems to change between a diamond, inverted pyramid, cross and multi-pointed star-like shape.
No sudden acceleration, abrupt directional changes or other clearly anomalous movements can be seen. The object appears to move gradually with the surrounding air currents, leading to suggestions that it may be a large decorative paper balloon, solar balloon or similarly lightweight airborne object.
This is a credible possibility, as Medellín has a well-established tradition of constructing and launching elaborate geometric paper balloons. However, without the original recording, complete metadata, an exact location, wind data or confirmation of a balloon launch, the object cannot be identified with certainty.
The earthquakes reported in Venezuela on the same date were genuine, although the claim that the footage was recorded at precisely the same moment has not been independently verified. There is currently no evidence demonstrating a connection between the object and the seismic activity.
English Translation of the Spanish-Language Narration: "Dude, I can't understand what's happening in Sabaneta. Look, there it is again. What the fucking hell is this? Look at how it changes shape. That isn't a drone; that isn't a balloon. No, it isn't anything like that. What the fuck? I’m at my bedroom window, I look outside, and the first thing I see is that."
There is nothing publicly available that either conclusively validates or discredits the uploader as a witness. Their Colombian and Medellín-related posting history is broadly consistent with their stated location, and they appear to have actively sought opinions rather than initially making an absolute extraterrestrial claim.
However, their identity and the recording's provenance remain unverified.
Was going through my history on Blink camera and I came across this in the sky. Seriously have no idea what this may be. Video is 1/2 speed.. Thoughts?
Filmed near Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, this footage is credited to the Mexican explorer account Viviendo al extremo esta vida, also identified in reposts as Daniel el aventurero. The reported original upload date is 18 July 2026. The filmer claims that similar spheres repeatedly appear around the same hillside; the object's nature remains unverified.
The video is the original as uploaded (including music) by Viviendo al extremo esta vida.
Original Mexican title:
"Las esferas ovnis salen de este cerro seguido después de una luz blanca brillante."
English translation:
"The UFO spheres frequently emerge from this hill after a brilliant white light appears."
English translation of the video narration: "Look, friends, look, look! There’s another sphere. Look at it. Now let's see what bullshit explanation they come up with this time.
I already know what time they appear around this hill. They always come out when there's a new moon. Starting at about four o'clock in the afternoon, they begin appearing one by one.
And I haven't even recorded the tubes yet. Long tube-shaped objects come out as well. Look! What strings? What strings? People posted a load of nonsense beneath my previous video.
Look, there it is! I know where they come from, and whenever you like, I'll bring you here and show you. Look: they come from that crack in the hill. Whenever there's a new moon, these spheres emerge from there. I don't know how, they simply come out of the hill. And look how beautiful it is."
