Quitting today due to GERD like symptoms possibly related to zyn. Any tips would really help

So I’m not yet diagnosed with GERD but my symptoms all match up perfectly with GERD.

I notice that when I put a pouch in, the acid reflux flairs up pretty instantly.

I normally use pouches while gaming and while at work so basically every day I’m using like 5-10 pouches.
It’s going to be really hard for me especially when gaming or at work because when things get tough at work or the game gets sweaty, zyns take the edge off.

Any tips are helpful thank you!

Tips on how to stop eating before bedtime?

Before GERD I always use to eat later meals, if bedtime was 10pm I would be eating at 9-9:45pm.

Now that I have GERD I find it incredibly hard to sleep if I don’t eat 2-3h before bed.
If I eat at 8pm, I’m hungry again at 9:45pm and for me the hunger is way more difficult to sleep through than the acid reflux is.

If I eat later, I can sleep through the reflux but in the morning it feels terrible, if I don’t eat later, then I can’t sleep because the hunger bothers me so much.

Any tips on how I can deal with this and get to a point where I can stop eating so late?

Anxiety about GERD is running my life

I have GERD, and it’s the worst illness/disease whatever you want to call it I’ve ever been through.
I understand GERD is not a death sentence and I understand what can be done to help fix this disease.

What I don’t understand is how to calm my anxiety because me knowing the above statements is not helping because it does not change the fact that I struggle to eat and sleep and work.

My anxiety doesn’t appear as being scared or what most would see as anxiety, my anxiety comes out in anger and frustration that I take out on others and that is not fair to them.

I understand what needs to be done for my GERD and I am working on it, but while I work through this I really need to find ways to ease my anxiety because at this point I’m just being a very mean person to the people I care most about in my life let alone coworkers and others at work which pays for my life.

I’m stuck in an endless cycle of waking up feeling like shi*, getting anxious that I’m stuck like this, taking it out on others, feeling guilty about being a mean person, not being able to sleep because of anxiety and GERD, repeat.

Edit: another major issue I didn’t mention is the fact that my manager and coworkers don’t understand how much I suffer with this and that brings more anxiety because if the time comes where I need to go home because it’s a really bad flair up, they just won’t get it.

How can I get better at being more firm/getting my point across in a disagreement in workplace?

I have troubles specifically at work when there is a disagreement with a coworker and more so with a superior, a big part of this is my low self esteem/confidence.

An example of a recent disagreement was my supervisor wants me to install these wires his way, but I know that installing the wires my way will be easier and it will look better.
In these situations I tend to coward away from any counterpoint I have, and I just allow the other person to tell me what to do even if I know deep down it’s wrong or there is a better way.

I want to work on this because I want to be a first responder in the future and this is a crucial skill to have when talking to anyone at a scene.

Level of skill SR. C CALGARY/ALBERTA

I am really wanting to get back into box lacrosse and I’m thinking about next season finding a Calgary team in SR. C.

I am slightly worried about the skill level in Sr. C though, I last played JR. B tier 2 in Calgary and was pretty decent there, but I haven’t played since then which was 2022.

The only reason why I am slightly worried about joining is because I don’t want to be paying hundreds of dollars only to be scratched most games if the skill level is much higher than what I last played. I am only an offensive player with relatively low defensive skill due to my size. Anyone in this sub have experience in Alberta in sr c and could tell me?

Unethical phishing test??

I’m sorry but I think this is crazy to send as a phishing test, promising students who already struggle financially new benefits? I think there’s a better way to send a phishing test.

I understand there’s spelling mistakes, but when you present new ways to possibly save money to a broke financially struggling student, it’s pretty easy to not notice these spelling mistakes.

Appetite getting much worse, looking for advice

I’ve been on vyvanse for almost 2 years now, currently on 50mg, I do not take it on weekends.
I also take dextroamfetamine in the evenings AFTER lunch.

I have always had a low appetite on vyvanse, I’ve tried moving around the time I take the meds to see if it improves but I found that taking it right when I get to work after breakfast gives me the best chance at being able to eat at lunch.

This has been working for about half a year now consistently, now I wouldn’t eat a huge lunch but it would be something that would get me through the day until I get home.

Recently (past month ish) my appetite has fallen off a cliff and I don’t know why, nor do I know how to fix it, for example, today for lunch I could stomach a very small beef taco from home, like really small portion under 100g of beef and a small tortilla, and this has been consistent with all lunch breaks the past month. I do not get hungry anymore until I get home and when I get home I feel so deprived of nutrients that I feel nauseous and very fatigued.
The other thing is that I do feel physically hungry still at lunch but mentally is where the change is happening, mentally I can not stomach the food and it gets to the point where I am gagging trying to eat because my brain seemingly is telling me I’m eating disgusting mush no matter what the food is, it’s like tasteless mush always.

Generally I eat around 20-30g protein breakfast before taking Vyvanse.

TLDR: After 1.5 years of Vyvanse, my appetite has suddenly gotten much worse and I need ideas on how to fix it.

How to find pace when there are no cars around?

I have found recently that my pace is absolutely nowhere when I am racing alone (ex: any quali laps or if there is a big gap in front and behind).

When I am within a second of cars ahead I can very easily match and usually beat their pace, but the second I find myself in a situation where I am just alone, my pace falls off so much.

I find it very difficult to increase my pace based off of a relative instead of basing it off an actual car in front of me, and as I am increasing my IR, this is becoming more and more of a problem, I am now in 2.8-3k SOFs and if anything happens where I separate from group ahead, the race is practically over already for me it just turns into a practice session and frustration sets in when I see my laps fall off more and more.

Any tips on actually how to practice would be helpful, I know I need practice but maybe I’m going at it the wrong way.

Fixed slice with driver, curious on what next steps are for better drive

I have recently fixed my slice simply by having a wider stance and by keeping my front arm straighter on back swing.

I now drive consistently straight, but I fail to drive any longer than 150 yds, often times it’s actually quite a bit under 150, I am wondering what I should start working on now to (slowly) increase my driving distance.

I say slowly because I know almost nothing will be a fast solution so this is something I’d like to work on over the next 2 seasons to hopefully be breaking that 150yd distance.

This is just about the only part of my game that is lacking, I do well with all my irons, wedges and putting but getting off the tee box is something that is subpar for me, I’m always far behind everyone I golf with in that regard.

Do I need to be more assertive in races?

I have good pace for my IR (1.9k) but I often times find myself unfortunately stuck behind slower drivers and I find that in the sub 2k SOFs if I go for any move it gets spicy quick because either people will turn in when I’m already on the inside or they will try tooth and nail to get that position back next corner.

Because of this I have been racing very passively and making the driver in front feel comfortable, because another issue is when I’m putting pressure often I will force a mistake but a lot of times that mistake from the driver in front will end up messing my corner up or giving me damage.

I’m kind of stuck here with not knowing how aggressive to be, and I end up loosing a lot of time very often because of this, and if I have a bad quali (I’m not a very good quali driver) then it gets even worse so I’m not sure what I need to do here.

Looking for a 3 day/week split that will work with my schedule for muscle/strength building

I work 4 days/week and then I have school after so I only have 3 days/week to go to the gym and get good sleep still.

I need a 3 day split that I can do back to back to back since Friday-Sunday are my 3 free days. (Focused on muscle/strength building)

I am pretty advanced with technique so it doesn’t need to be beginner friendly, I use to do 3 days full body split throughout the week but now with no rest days in between I can’t really do full body without risking injury.

Any suggestions are extremely helpful, thank you!

Any way to lessen the bouncing in pcup?

I know the 992.2 is a bouncy car, but is there any tips for someone like me (1.8k IR) to lessen the effect of bouncing or like is there a way to take corners better where it won’t bounce?
Some tracks I can deal with it, others (sometimes VIR) it can be a race ruined because of the insane bouncing.
I also don’t know what to do when it starts to bounce, should I just fully let off throttle?

Majors garage baseline+ setups for spa?

I am not serious enough yet to pay for setups (aka I don’t have a good wheel/pedal setup yet) so I use majors garage baseline + setups.
But for some reason on spa with the GT3’s it feels like I have negative downforce specifically through eau rogue and T18?
Like I swear I am almost losing the rear every lap, does anyone else have this experience or does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Will I be in trouble for pushing back 2 laps later? (Porsche has blue flags, 2L down)

Context: Porsche spun lap 2, I ran into him because I had nowhere to go. Somehow he thought that was intentional so now lap 11 he is 2 laps down, blue flags and when I first try to pass him (corner before this video) he swerved into me very clearly on purpose, then I started pushing him because I knew he would be an issue. This is the moment the video starts.

After this video I caught him 1 lap later, and he kept trying the same thing, end of lap 15 after constant blocking from him and trying to wreck me, he attempted to brake check me, I did not brake and I sent him off (yes this was on purpose from me).

If I protest, will I also get trouble for sending him off?

PS: couldn’t download replay to my phone, so I had to record the screen with my phone instead.

Is there a genuine treatment to GERD?/needing support

I have only just recently been told I “very likely” have GERD, but further tests need to be done. I’ve already done h. Pylori test, and quite a few others that I don’t exactly remember what for.

But I am kind of freaking out because everything I search up just shows “how I healed GERD” but none of it is showing like actual medically prescribed medication or anything.

Others are posts about how long people have delt with GERD and I’m just really freaking out because I’ve had these very intense acid reflux symptoms for the better part of a year now, and it’s affecting literally every single aspect of my life and I cannot go on feeling this way.

It’s so demoralizing as someone who has always been in shape to now see that I have what looks like a beer belly because I can’t even workout in any way without this acting up, and it’s humiliating to have to tell my boss why I’m being slow at work because he clearly just doesn’t realize how this feels.

I’ve been trying to not look too deep into all these “solutions” for GERD because it does scare me when I I can’t find much info on prescriptions. But it’s so hard not to look because it’s so painful mentally and physically.

Constant burnout with hobbies/sports

I seem to be getting constant burnout with jiu jitsu and the gym.

I have known I have ADHD since I was a kid about 8 years old. And I’ve always had some weird quirks in my life because of it, but burnout I have never experienced before.

I mention jiu jitsu because I love the sport, it was very fun for me, then I started competing and losing and ever since that happened I have gotten regular burnout with everything that followed. At the time I had a very good physique from jiu jitsu and the gym.

Now it seems I can’t go to the gym consistently for more than a week, and that’s even just doing 2 days a week, and the same goes for jiu jitsu, 2 days a week once the 2nd week hits I’m like burnt out.

I find it insane because I’ve done sports my whole life since I was 10, I am 24 now. And never once have I burnt out, it feels like there’s so much going on in my life but in reality there is (arguably, because bills etc.) less going on, I have a job and then the gym and jiu jitsu, before I had school, hockey and lacrosse, and boxing all at once and it was fine.

I’m getting really frustrated because I’m consistently digging myself a hole of getting out of shape because I’m not going to the gym, not doing sports, and eating as if I was a child. So I’m just getting like fat now, and everything is just getting blown out of proportion.

so I’m asking anyone to help me understand what could be the cause OR what steps I can take to try and be consistent again.

Switch 2 not turning on, don’t know how to tell if it is even charging at all!

I haven’t been playing in about a week and a half, but it has been on the dock I presume charging the whole time, I’ve never had an issue before with it but you can see that when I plug into the dock that green light flashes then goes away? I’m not sure if that’s what indicates a charge or what but any help would be greatly appreciated!
- Switch 2
- Tried unplugging and plugging in A/C outlet
- Tried holding power button for 20 seconds
- Inspected exterior for any sign of damage, console is EXTREMELY clean as I keep it VERY safe when plugged in
