Invading my personal space
Oh my gosh.
I just came back from the grocery store.
I was in line checking out.
There was a group of 3 behind me. Nobody behind them.
They decide to stand almost shoulder to shoulder to me. One of them stood behind me. I can see the pores of the girl next to me. She was watching the screen where it shows what I'm buying/price/all of that. I tried to put my hand kind of over the screen. I wasn't buying anything weird but the fuck are you looking at my purchases for? And then I felt uncomfortable putting my card in because she was right there!! I don't think she was looking for my card number but still!! Move!!!
As the cashier was ringing my stuff up I kept looking at them all... I thought if I kept looking at them they would get the hint to... back off... but of course that didn't happen. I need to say something next time. I'm working on my social skills but I did say under my breath: "youre so close to me" but i was not loud enough so of course they didn't hear.
I am so bewildered how they think thats okay? To stand so close to a stranger when there was a lot of space behind them?? The entire check out line. Remember there's nobody behind them!!
I vented to my mom and she said they probably weren't thinking. Which... I understand. But what the fuck. MOVE!
Thank you for reading. I'm going to eat something now. Have a great day everyone!
(Oh by the way i usually like to bag my items but there was a bagger there doing it)
