Is applying for an Ausbildung at 30 as a non-EU career changer still realistic?

I'm curious about the success rate for someone applying for an Ausbildung around the age of 30 after completing a bachelor's degree and having 3+ years of work experience.

I've read that some employers can be hesitant because they assume non-EU applicants are mainly trying to get into the EU or eventually get a passport. That's honestly not my reason.

My goal is to gain proper hands-on training while studying in a field that genuinely needs skilled workers, without the financial burden of paying for everything myself. I'm also looking to leave the corporate world and move into archives or as an information specialist.

For those who've gone through the process or know people who have, would you still recommend applying in this situation? Do employers really see career changers in their 30s negatively, or is having a clear reason for switching enough? I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences or advice.

Experienced female solo seasonal worker and traveler

I'm looking to connect with any experienced seasonal workers and travelers especially from India or SE Asian countries.

It would be great if you have experience applying for and getting seasonal work visas directly from India, especially female solo travelers.

I'm exploring this path myself and would love to connect with someone who has already gone through the process or has done solid research on it. If there's a possibility of finding a travel/work partner for the journey, that would be great too.

I'm particularly interested in temporary seasonal work permits and direct-hire opportunities rather than ballot-based systems.

If you have experience, knowledge, or useful resources on this topic, please comment below or send me a message. I'd really appreciate connecting with others in this niche.
