Back to the drawing board…

I bought a basic set of stones a few weeks ago, and I’ve been watching videos and working on technique since then. I thought I was doing okay. Then I ordered this inexpensive ($57) chef’s knife. It arrived today, and it is far sharper than any of my current knives. Oh, well…..I’ll have to use this as motivation. I’d love to see the process for getting this kind of edge at the factory.

What D-Series Model Do I Have?

Will any Neato charger work for this, or do I have to get a specific charger? Thanks in advance for any help?

$12.98 Rainbow E Series

My son and daughter in law have just closed on their first house, and I’m happy to find this for them.

An old man drove into my car, then offered, "How about I give you $50 and we call it a day?"

As we were walking from the supermarket to our car, we watched an elderly man try to maneuver his 26 year old Buick into the space next to our car. We watched as he scraped past our car. Then, he got out, looked at our car and offered $50 to cover the damage.

Edit:

Thanks for all the comments.

I took the car to a recommended shop near me. He gave a rough estimate of $2,000. I'm in NY and they don't require a police notification for property damage only. The auto shop owner handled the entire issue through the old man's insurance company.

One of the worst things was watching it happen, literally in slow motion, as he just forced his way into the space. Even when he started hitting my car, he just kept going.

After getting his car in the spot, he couldn't get out of his door because he was too tight on his side so he started backing back out, almost hitting my car again. I had to jump in and move it out of his way quick.

He was 86 years old driving a 26 year old four-door Buick LeSabre (a boat). His car was really banged up. Looked like he's been hitting and scraping cars for a while. This was a supermarket lot on Long Island which is a pain in the ass to park normally. His family should really consider taking his keys away (or at least get him a smaller car!)

He wasn't trying to get over on me. I think he really thought it was about $50. He cooperated fully without issue when I asked for his info. We shook hands when we parted. If I was driving a shitbox (which I've driven my whole life) I would've took the $50 and walked away but we just bought this car last year and it was in great condition. It's just a huge inconvenience thus "Well, that sucks"

How to Proceed?

This is my first time with a septic system. House was built in 2019, system was pumped last year. Standard, gravity fed system. Last week, we had some effluent coming to the surface at the back of the back yard. Called in the local service for a consult, and he said a yucca plant was causing the problem. My bad. I honestly didn’t know that the leach field went back that far. He said that it was very simple fix, if I was comfortable with it. Dig it out, cut out the bad stuff, and splice in new tubing. So I removed the yucca, and dug out about two feet in each direction. This is what I am seeing. I thought the root damage would be visible and dramatic, but nope. So I should just cut these lengths out, splice in new tubing, and cover it up?

I learned about this feature accidentally yesterday on my 2026 LX. I guess I held the unlock button too long. Weird to see all of your windows roll down by themselves……
