F29 | 5'6" | 56-58 kg | 8-Year Fitness Journey (2023–2026 Progress Pics) | Entirely Home-Grown Until June 2026

Training Experience

I've been training consistently for approximately 8 years, with the attached progress photos covering the period from 2023 to 2026.

Until June 2026, all of my training was done at home using a squat rack, barbell, adjustable plates, dumbbells, resistance bands and a bench. I only recently joined a commercial gym.

I am not a bodybuilder, powerlifter or athlete. My goal has always been general strength, fitness, muscle development and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Training Plan

For most of the last three years, I followed a full-body strength training approach rather than a traditional body-part split.

My routine included:

Lower Body

Barbell Squats (30 kg)

Romanian Deadlifts (30 kg)

Hip Thrusts (30 kg)

Reverse Lunges (5 kg dumbbells)

Curtsy Lunges

Good Mornings

Glute Kickbacks

Band Hip Abductions

Upper Body

Barbell Bench Press (~18 kg)

Dumbbell Rows

Bent-Over Rear Delt Raises

Face Pulls

Lateral Raises

Dumbbell Bicep Curls

Tricep Dips

Tricep Extensions

Band Chest Flyes

Conditioning / Full Body

Dumbbell Snatches (5 kg)

Core

Hollow Holds

Weighted Hollow Holds

Weighted Crunches

Bicycle Crunches

Knee Crunches

Side Jack-Knives

In-and-Outs

Dead Bugs

Workouts generally lasted 90–120 minutes including warm-up and cooldown.

I trained primarily for consistency rather than following a formal progressive overload program.

Diet / Nutrition

I do not follow a strict bodybuilding diet.

My approach is relatively simple:

Focus on whole foods

Adequate protein intake (160 gms) an dfibre intake

Limited processed food

No alcohol consumption

No aggressive bulking or cutting phases (I don't count my calories because the laste time I did, it out me in the verge of an eating disorder)

I have maintained a relatively stable body weight while gradually improving strength and body composition over time.

Lifestyle Details

Corporate professional working long hours

Home workouts were often the only practical option

Average daily activity includes walking and commuting

Consistency has been more important than perfection

What Made The Biggest Difference

The biggest factor was consistency.

I wasn't following an influencer program or chasing rapid transformations.

Most of my progress came from showing up regularly over several years, even when workouts weren't perfect.

Building a home gym removed many barriers to training and helped me stay consistent despite a demanding work schedule.

Challenges

Learning exercises through trial and error

Limited equipment compared to commercial gyms

Balancing fitness with a high-pressure corporate career

Periods where progress felt slow or invisible

One of the biggest lessons was that small improvements compounded over time far more than I expected.

review/thoughts on forest essentials hydrating gel?

i have been using it for a week and it feels light weight + hydrating.

Just that since it’s a gel formula i avoid using it before i have to travel because might attract too much of dust on my face.

facial mist or toner or serum? *HONEST REVIEW* FE facial Mist

It’s called the facial mist by forest essentials, part of their panchpushp collection.

-works like a toner & serum

-hydrates your skin and keeps it cool

-feels fresh , has a lot of natural ingredients

-works GREAT for my skin in this weather (combination skin type)

-JUST one thing, could be a bigger bottle 😭

I think companies like Pronto are doing a great job

Had booked pronto recently and in conversation with the helper figured she makes about 30-40 k a month which is great, not sure how the company makes money, if its a subscription based model like namma yatri or they get a cut off each booking but a great way to empower and boost employment rather than traditional settings.
