She was a free rehome so please don’t tell me I’m horrible.
Her current name is Chantilly and it’s pretty but a bit long. What name do you think would fit her?
Rare breed so not a lot of options to just avoid large groups of catty people.
Bred a nice looking litter that went to show homes now people are no longer nice and supportive. Rumours about how I’m selling subpar dogs for showing, that I’m scamming people etc. I’d never sell a dog I didn’t think could finish as a show prospect.
Unfortunately I have no real way of avoiding these people because there’s so few people breeding. Most of the congratulations, advice etc dissolved overnight. I do favours and do my best to stay on everyone’s good side too even if it’s not convenient or in my best interest overall. I’m a very very new breeder with a small amount of dogs. Despite this the rumour mill is working overtime. I feel like people are trying to trip me up as well. Just waiting for me to say the wrong thing to stir up trouble.
How do you even handle this?
It’s okay because he’s not even one apple tall
I pulled over to take a photo because wtf. It smelled and had flies on it.
Lingerie teddy bear covered in flies. It smelled.
Kids and babies do smell without baths. Wipes are not a substitute. Water only isn’t sufficient either. They literally poop and pee on themselves. Saw a post about a mom who didn’t bathe her baby or allow cleansers of any kind to touch their skin for 18 months. Tons of people are defending them. They just wiped their kid off for 18 months. So many parents chimed in and said they never bathe their baby either. Skipping MONTHS between baths.
The argument is that babies don’t move much so wiping their body is the same as a bath.
Modern cleansers will not hurt your kids. They’re very very gentle. Moisturize them after as well (and honestly daily) and you won’t have dry skin issues unless they have a condition. Even with eczema the skin needs to be softened and a moisturizer used to help.
This is why there are so many sticky babies and that smell sour. No babies don’t get BO but they still need proper cleansing to maintain their health.
I’ve done everything right. They’re from health tested parents, registered, parents are titled, the puppies are healthy, vetted and beyond socialized for their age. I’ve spent hundreds in advertising but people backed out of the waitlist and I cannot find homes for those two.
No one thinks they’re worth the money. They are not expensive. $1900 canadian or $1350 usd. I’m not expecting to make money however I don’t believe that’s an outrageous price for them. Ever since the CDC banned puppies going over the border all the potential homes dried up. I am already keeping 2 for 4 extra months so they can go to show homes. They’re a rare breed but they’re small and easy house pets.
Should I just reduce the price and take it as a lesson to not breed? I can’t keep an entire litter at my house. I can’t produce litters just to keep all of them. The breed desperately needs numbers but I can’t justify pouring all this money, time, energy and knowledge into litters when other people pump out puppies without a care and they are snapped up immediately.
Yet another salon visit where I could hear my hair breaking off from overly rough styling 🥀
It doesn’t matter how many times I say my hair is fragile and I’m tender headed they just reef and rip at my hair

Blues tris are female sables are male
Who are your top 2 picks male and female
I know who I like but I’d love to see others opinions
The title. I picked up a stud prospect, he was supposed to have a co own lined up it fell through. He ended up being the most perfect puppy. He is wonderful without others and has made a connection with our ancient senior dog who mostly tolerates other dogs.
An amazing home reached out. One that can prove him in ways I can’t. But it’s hard. I’ve never had it be this hard to choose if one stays or goes before. He’s young and his temperament may change but right now he is such a sweetie to the others and is a dream to have in the home.
What do you guys think? How do you place dogs you love? Puppies are easy to me. Some dogs I don’t feel a connection to so it’s easier with them but this guy has just fit in so well.
People are ridiculous when it comes to puppy picks and colour. My breed can have a blaze down their face.
Puppy buyer- “I want a puppy with a stripe!”
Me- “well I can’t guarantee it. Piebald is fickle and facial white varies even when both parents have facial white. I also have to make my picks for breeding to continue the line. I make picks at 7 weeks you’ll know which puppy you’re getting then.”
They agree and are happy until the puppies are born. Unfortunately there are only 3 with a blaze and the others do not have one.
Two people on the waitlist decided they no longer wanted a pup because I wouldn’t guarantee I’d give them a puppy with a blaze. The puppies are 5 weeks and I have not made my pick yet. Another dropped from my waitlist because none of the puppies were black tri like they wanted.
It’s genuinely disappointing and people find 0 issue with wasting my time. To put it in perspective this is a breed where 3-4 litters are born yearly in my country. Both parents have CHIC numbers and championships (uncommon in the breed) and they come in every colour possible other than Merle. The breed varies a lot and it would be hard to ever pick based solely on colour. Colour is immaterial to a working breed that can genetically come in every colour.
I’m thinking of charging for my waitlist next time. I’m tired of people wasting my time.
