Anything after this, undead Matt has to be very calculated in how he sings; so he opts to do what seems to be a distorted false chord.

He can sing above this but it’s probably one of those things where it will damage his voice as he does it. He only sings above this note with his actual vocal cords during Unholy Confessions (and it’s ONE A4).

So sure Matt’s voice has changed a lot but it’s more so being conservative than an inability.

So let’s say he can still sing high notes, but he probably has like 200 uses left before he can’t do it again; which might be reserved for studio recordings.

Probably a big reason the Stage got swapped.

Feel free to leave timestamps of which melodies you’re referring to. Also, in my opinion, all the best melodies are after the three minute mark.

For the past year, I’ve been posting collaborative projects and opportunities for us artist to group up together and build each other up either through feedback or pulling resources.

Some artists take the opportunity but it’s very rare. However, I see artist, looking for tips and hacks, and wanna buy their way to success with ads and playlist, hiring people etc, when really organic collaboration is how it exponentially takes off.

If you aren’t getting your own fans and network to promote you without compensation, you probably don’t make anything cool enough to merit that.

I test meta and YouTube ads for my own music but I think I would be mutually beneficial if someone with a similar music would like to share a playlist or at least share data and help each other improve.

Only caveat is you must have your own ad account, ad budget and I have to like your music.

TS: Gates is bored “can we experiment again with more prog and bring back punk since we have brooks?”

LIBAD: let’s experiment across eras decades and genres. Like blending? No like complete departures, pivots and turnarounds.

STATICA: okay let’s experiment with sci-fi industrial now, guitars are there to create a vibe and support the groove but that’s it.

I noticed it when listening to betrayed.

even though it’s a metal song, the way Jimmy arranges his cymbal fills are very quantizied on the grid. There’s not really a lot of like swing or groove.

but there’s a lot of linearity to it which kinda reminds me of how beats are programmed in hip-hop. He manages to make very long linear fills, never get in the way of the vocals.

Brooks on the other hand seem more jazz based so his fills and arrangements tend to steal the show by hopping in and out of the groove. Brooks patterns are also much harder to spot than Jimmys. Jimmy somehow makes his fills as catchy and digestible as they are technical. Kinda like how Brian does his leads.

So great. My ears are still ringing.

I mean he’s got a really good ear, and he doesn’t give himself enough credit while the band shat on him in his younger days.
