This match brought back a feeling I hadn’t felt in over 5 years.

u/No_Pomegranate5635 ✿

Thank you so much for this match. Honestly, I haven’t experienced this feeling in a very long time, probably for more than five years.

This is the very essence that the game used to be built around, and what made it so special. Players would come up against each other and play matches that were genuinely enjoyable to watch. The game would unfold with both players creating chances from here and there, possession changing hands, attempts coming from both sides, and beautiful goals being scored along the way.

There was so much life in the way people used to play. Players were playing for the spectacle and for the enjoyment of the game itself, rather than what we are seeing nowadays, where people look for defensive setups just to completely lock down their defence and turn matches into something incredibly dull. On top of that, we now have people constantly chasing the insane meta players that the game releases, simply to fight and compete in ranked Divisions.

All of this has gradually erased that unique feeling between players. the feeling that every person had their own individual playstyle, along with players who actually suited their footballing philosophy. Unfortunately, this has slowly disappeared over time, to the point where it feels dangerously close to becoming extinct 😞.

As for the match itself, as you can see, he dominated it almost completely. He had more possession and managed to register 16 shots, with 14 of them being on target. He also completed 181 out of 212 passes ⭐️

That shows how many different ways he could reach my goal. He made it feel effortless at times, and it reminded me that even if you are an experienced or long-time player with a good understanding of the game, there is still a huge difference between simply knowing the game and being genuinely skilled at it.

No matter what you do, you won’t reach the level of someone who plays with balance, intelligence and consistency, and who knows how to get what he wants through different approaches and solutions.

The posts he used to share with us, especially the way he explained his tactics and the way he approached the game, were already a good indication of that. Everything about his decision-making felt right from the beginning, and honestly, it was great to see ♥

I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if I saw him one day among the top players in Divisions, because he truly deserves it. 🫶🏻

As for him, Fermín López played a huge role in the match. He covered almost every inch of the pitch with an incredible performance. Lee Kang-In also had a very good game, and I really enjoyed what he brought to the match.

What honestly hurt me was seeing Kai Havertz doing absolutely everything and still failing in the end. At least he managed to score a beautiful goal, though..

On my side, and to be completely honest, I messed up two of my substitutions. 🙁

Raúl Jiménez and Szoboszlai were two of my best players in the match, yet I decided to take them off instead of Antoine Griezmann and Iago Aspas, especially Aspas, who I genuinely have no idea what happened to him that game.

This substitution, however, actually worked perfectly. Bringing in Julian Draxler for Marco Reus was the right decision, and Draxler was the one who brought me back into the game with his goal, sending the match into extra time.

To finish, I just want to once again give credit to this opponent for giving me a feeling that is incredibly difficult to experience nowadays. ♡

As for the video itself, it did take me some time to put together, from last night until today, but all I hope is that you guys enjoy it. ❤️

That’s all. :)

Thiago Alcântara’s First Match = Absolute Cinema 🛐

I can’t believe it, after his first game, I already understand why I wanted this card so badly. My main focus was on Thiago rather than Suárez, even though both made their debuts together. Despite that, Suárez still put in a very good performance. Orchestrator is one of my favorite playstyles in eFootball, and one I’ve always lacked in my squad. A midfielder who can drop deep, collect the ball, break up counterattacks and dictate the tempo is simply different.

Even in his first few minutes, Thiago was doing exactly what I expected. He was cutting passing lanes, recovering the ball from dangerous positions and playing those clean, controlled passes from deep. The highlight was a perfectly weighted through ball to my Szoboszlai, who finished it beautifully. He didn’t score himself, but he still walked away with Man of the Match. and that says enough about his impact.

What makes this even better is how Konami gave us this kind of player through the CODA Shop for just a little money. For me, Thiago feels like a hidden gift from Konami. I genuinely hope this isn’t the last card of this quality we see there. This is what spending should feel like: real value for your money, instead of gambling on a 150 player Pack just to get one player you actually want.

I wouldn’t skip Thiago Alcântara.

I honestly didn’t expect Konami to put a player like Thiago Alcântara in the eFootball Coda Shop. Looking at what a properly built version of him can look like is already crazy! 102 Balance, 80+ Stamina, around 80 Speed, 90+ Ball Control and Dribbling, and ridiculous passing stats. And that’s before even seeing how he actually feels in game.

For me, if you have a limited budget and can only pick one player between T.Alcântra and Suárez, I’m taking Thiago without hesitation. Suárez is obviously a great card and I’m happy to see him back, but Thiago is the one I would go for first with my eyes closed.

And the reason is simple: Thiago is much rarer in eFootball. Suárez is a player we can expect to see in different versions again, while a high quality Thiago is something we rarely get.

He was basically the spiritual father of “Verratti”when it comes to that style of football, receiving the ball under pressure, turning away from opponents and controlling the tempo from deep. If you enjoy using players like Verratti, Thiago is probably one of the closest things you can get to that feeling, but with a much more complete profile.

I still remember that werid goal against Porto with Liverpool. To this day, I’m not even sure whether the ball actually touched the ground before going in. LOL

What makes this even more interesting is that Thiago feels like the kind of player Konami would normally put inside a 50 player Epic box, alongside a few Highlight players. We’ve seen this type of structure many times in older versions of eFootball, so getting him through the Coda Shop for such a low price feels almost like a gift from Konami.

And honestly, Orchestrator is one of the playstyles that doesn’t get enough attention compared to Anchor Man or Box-to-Box. We see plenty of strong versions of those two, but Thiago could finally show what a truly elite Orchestrator can do.

So if you’re missing an Orchestrator in your squad, I really wouldn’t think twice about getting Thiago Alcântara. This is one of those players I’d rather secure now than regret skipping later.

A Temporary Regional Issue! :
Thiago isn’t available yet in Morocco or some other countries, including Egypt, either in game or through the Coda Shop. Hopefully, it’s just a temporary issue and he’ll be available soon 🤗.

A Possible Strategy to Get Rui Costa

Since this is an Unlimited Draw, Rui Costa has a 2% chance per spin (1/50). my idea is to save 30/50 spins and then use them together instead of opening randomly.

With 30 spins, the chance of getting him at least once is around 45.5%, while 50 spins gives around 63.6%.

These percentages are calculated based on the 1/50 probability of an Epic in a 50 player Unlimited Draw.

Of course, this is not guaranteed, but I hope this strategy can improve our chances of getting Rui Costa. I really hope we all get him, especially since he’s still only 23 years old. we shouldn’t miss out on another young Rui Costa like we did with Raúl in the previous version.

New animation showcasing a player’s three skills

Small details like this add a lot of visual appeal to the game. I hope we see more UI designs and improvements like this in the future to make the overall experience feel smoother and more polished 🫶🏻💗

eFootball 2027 : First Impressions of the New Content

The first thing I’m looking forward to is the Summer Transfer 17 August pack, which includes players such as Morgan Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson and Denzel Dumfries. We’re also getting a new Manager Pack, with Antonio Conte as the manager alongside Pedro Neto and Marc Guéhi.

There is also a Chelsea Selection Pack, as well as a CAF Africa Cup of Nations Selection Pack featuring Mohamed Salah, Brahim Díaz, Rami Ben Sebaini, Ismaïla Sarr, Rayan Aït-Nouri, Ismaïla El Aïnaoui and Ismaïla Saibari. Another pack coming is the Tactical Defense Pack.

For the eFootball League 2027 Reward Phase 1, we can get James Maddison as one of the rewards. There is also another Summer Transfer pack, apparently through a Nominating Contract, with players such as Sandro Tonali, Ibrahima Konaté and Alejandro Grimaldo standing out.

The English League Selection also looks quite good, with Dominik Szoboszlai being the main player for me, while the rest of the players are generally decent.

One of the biggest surprises for me, especially as a Moroccan, was seeing the Moroccan League being added to the game. Even though it doesn’t seem to have been added with fully official kits yet, I still think it’s a nice addition. I personally don’t follow the Moroccan league that much, but seeing my country’s league represented in eFootball is still something I really appreciate 🫶🏻

Even more surprising was the addition of a Moroccan League Selection Pack, basically a collection of some of the best players from the league. Personally, the one player I would really like to get is Mounir Chouiar. He has very good dribbling skills, and I watched him during the recent Arab Cup, where he had a really good tournament. Ramiro Vaca, the Wydad defender, also looks interesting. As for most of the other players, I see them more as squad fillers rather than players you would actually rely on competitively.

For new players, the Welcome Login Bonus gives them players such as Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. The Setup 2027 missions also give us James, Frenkie de Jong and Jamal Musiala. Musiala’s card, however, looks quite ordinary to me.

The Daily Game rewards include several players, such as Rabiot, Eto’o, Aubameyang, João Neves, Lautaro Martínez, Pickford, Robertson, Trossard, Jean-Paul Van Hecke and Malick Kone.

There is also an Achievement Reward pack featuring players such as Raphinha, De Paul and Díaz.

With Skills Up 2027, we get a Highlights pack featuring Messi and Lamine Yamal. Those are definitely the cards I would be interested in. Among the other Highlights players, we have Courtois, Conte and possibly Xhaka or James Rodríguez. Honestly, I find this group weaker than what we usually get.

One of the additions I liked the most is the return of Thiago Alcântara. I believe his card might be available through a paid offer, but I’m still interested to see how good the card will be.

Another addition I really like is Luis Suárez’s Atlético Madrid version, from the season when he won La Liga with Atlético and finished as the league’s top scorer. If the card is good, getting this version for just $1 in the Coin Shop would be a really nice deal.

And finally, we’re also getting Iker Casillas’ final version with Porto, representing his final stage as a professional player.

This Messi Pack Might Change My Mind About Yearly Packs

I usually don’t pay much attention to Ambassador Packs, mainly because they stay available for a long time and usually don’t offer the same value as limited-time packs. But Messi’s 2027 Ambassador Pack might actually change my mind.

The main reason is the card itself. This Messi is based on his final season with Barcelona, and the image shown in the pack seems to reference his iconic headed goal against Celta Vigo in his last appearance at Camp Nou. Messi isn’t known for scoring many headers, which makes moments like this more memorable.

For me, this could be one of Messi’s more interesting “medium” versions, especially if the final stats and skills are good. I already have his Copa América version from 2021, so this one would need something special to justify getting it.

Another interesting part is the 10 Highlight players included in the pack. If Konami chooses players who were connected to Messi during that period, we could potentially get some rare players that we don’t see often, such as Coutinho, Griezmann, Busquets or others.

So even though I normally don’t value yearly packs that highly, this one could be different, not necessarily because of pure gameplay value, but because of the nostalgia, the card’s historical moment, and the potential Highlight players.

The new gameplay motions in eFootball 2027 look really promising 🤗

The additions I’m most excited about are the new motions and the improved player movement.

More natural volleys from lofted passes, new defensive movements when facing the ball carrier, more realistic body positioning while moving, and expanded goalkeeper motions for close range situations.

These changes could make the gameplay feel much more natural and fluid, especially if the new animations are properly integrated into matches.

Everything You Need to Know About eFootball 2027

The additions I liked the most are the new features and gameplay improvements. Honestly, I didn’t feel like there was anything too groundbreaking in the other areas, it’s mostly the usual yearly changes with a new design. But gameplay wise, I really like the improved volleys and the more natural way players react to crosses and aerial balls. Instead of automatically going for a header every time, attackers should now choose between using their right or left foot or their head depending on their position and the situation, which should make the AI feel much more natural.

They’ve also added a lot of new player motions, making skillful players feel more expressive and giving players with fewer skills more variety in their movements. Overall, the gameplay should feel more fluid and realistic, with better player movement, ball movement, and positioning. The expanded GK's motions are also interesting, as we could finally see more varied and natural saves instead of the same animations we’re used to.

Vozinha on the penultimate attempt! I’m blessed

finally, I have another reliable goalkeeper. I’ve always struggled with GK I could actually trust, with my Captain Tsubasa Neuer being the only real exception. Even when I had higher-rated keepers, I never really felt confident using them, but this Vozinha finally feels like a goalkeeper I can rely on.
Sorry Bono, but it’s time for the fridge 🧊😭🙏🏻

Is It Time for a Third Era of eFootball?

Hello everyone,

I believe eFootball has now reached a point where it deserves a completely new direction.

Since PES Mobile launched in May 2017, the game has gone through what I consider two major eras.

The first era (2017–2021) wasn’t revolutionary because every version looked drastically different, but because Konami constantly refreshed the experience. The interface was clean, eye-friendly, and full of personality. Menu animations, sound effects, notifications, player progression effects, and small UI details gave the game a unique identity that many old players still remember today. Even though PES 2019, 2020, and 2021 looked very similar, the game never felt repetitive because new ideas kept arriving. ♡

The second era (2022–2026) has been very different.

Since the transition to eFootball, the game has barely evolved visually or structurally. Most yearly updates only introduce expected features such as Daily Game rewards, new signing animations, or mechanics that already existed on the console version. Meanwhile, the core experience has remained almost identical. Even paying players are getting tired of opening 150+ player packs just to chase three featured cards.

That’s why I believe eFootball 2027 should mark the beginning of a third era.

Not a new name, but a new philosophy. 🧘🏻🪷

The game needs a completely refreshed interface, a stronger visual identity, smoother optimization, better matchmaking, higher quality servers, fewer bugs, and less scripting (even if eliminating it completely is unrealistic).

More importantly, it needs new permanent game modes.

Right now, almost everyone spends 95% of their time in Division because there’s very little else worth playing. Master League would obviously be the dream, but if that’s still impossible on mobile, why not bring back something similar to Become A Legend? Players shouldn’t have to return to old PSP versions just to experience a proper football career mode.

I’d also love to see the return of the “Auction” Market, redesigned for modern eFootball. Giving players the ability to trade unwanted cards through a dedicated auction system would create a meaningful long term objective for F2P players instead of forcing everyone into massive player packs. ✓

➤ Another feature that could make the game feel much more alive is an Event Day/Scenario mode, similar to DLS. Imagine special events built around Champions League nights, league derbies, finals, or other major real life matches, with unique rewards that players genuinely look forward to every week.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference. The classic menu sounds, notifications, UI effects, and progression animations from the PES era created an atmosphere that only players who experienced it will truly understand. ☃️

For me, Konami should focus on three priorities:

1* Improve servers, matchmaking, and connection stability.
2* Completely redesign the interface and overall presentation.
3* Introduce meaningful permanent modes and progression beyond Division.

I really hope eFootball 2027 doesn’t become another yearly update with a different color palette!

I’d love to hear what changes you think Konami should make to truly bring this game back to life.

I almost released this Ansu Fati card… and I’m glad I didn’t. •ᴗ•

When Konami gave us this free Barcelona Highlight card back in 2024/25, I barely touched it. the design wasn’t attractive, the stats didn’t stand out, and like many others, I honestly thought it wasn’t worth keeping. Most players released it almost immediately, while the community focused on POTW and premium versions instead.

Almost two years later, I randomly decided to give him a chance… and I was genuinely surprised. In just two matches he reminded me why Ansu Fati was once considered one of football’s brightest talents. His movement, positioning, one-touch play and off-the-ball intelligence felt far better than I expected. The highlights don’t even show everything; his dribbling, defensive work rate and overall involvement throughout the match were what impressed me the most.

Playing with him brought back memories of PES 2020–2021, when I honestly preferred using Ansu Fati over many bigger names. Before the injuries, he looked destined to become Barcelona’s next superstar. It’s a reminder that sometimes we judge cards too quickly based on their artwork or first impression. Some of the most enjoyable players end up being the ones nobody expects.

Ansu Fati and Iago Aspas might become my new attacking duo for a while. 🫶🏻♥

Mudryk is back. Welcome back 💙💛🇺🇦

This morning, I randomly found myself thinking about Mykhailo Mudryk. I looked him up out of curiosity, remembering how his career had completely stalled after the suspension that was supposed to keep him out until 2028.

A few hours later, completely by coincidence, FIFA officially announced that his ban had been lifted after around 20 months away from football.

Football can be unpredictable. One day a player looks like one of the brightest talents in Europe, and the next his entire career is put on hold. Hopefully this is a fresh start for Mudryk, and he learns from everything that happened. Talents like his deserve to be remembered for football, not for controversies.

Since this news reminded me of his time in eFootball as well, I thought it would be a good opportunity to look back at some of his cards over the years. I’ll include a few of them below.

With his return now official, it feels like the perfect time to revisit Mudryk’s journey in eFootball through the cards he has received over the years 🙏🏻❤️

Sometimes, football writes its own stories ✍🏻👀

Why I Prefer Custom Builds Over Auto Builds ✔️

After years of playing PES and eFootball, I’ve noticed something that doesn’t get talked about enough.

The most dangerous players in this game aren’t always the ones with the highest Speed stat. They’re usually the ones whose Speed and Acceleration are well balanced.

Veteran players will probably know exactly what I mean. 🫶🏻❤️

Take cards like Ankara Messi in PES 2020/21, Marcus Rashford, POTW Doku, or even Garnacho. None of them relied on having absurd pace alone. What made them feel so explosive was how close their Speed and Acceleration were. the movement felt smoother, more responsive, and much more effective in real matches.

That’s why I don’t always trust the Auto Build.

A perfect example is Johan Manzambi. With a custom build, he reaches 90 Offensive Awareness instead of 87, better Finishing, higher Balance, improved Curve, and 96 Speed / 95 Acceleration. Those numbers are much more balanced than the default build, and from my experience, that balance matters more than simply chasing the highest overall rating.

For me, Offensive Awareness, Balance, and Stamina are just as important as pace. a player with well distributed attributes will almost always outperform another player with a higher overall but a less efficient build.

The screenshots explain exactly what I mean. this isn’t just a feeling; I wanted to compare the numbers and show why I think balanced Speed and Acceleration have always been one of the hidden mechanics behind the strongest cards in PES and eFootball.

To support my point, I included a few examples from older PES and eFootball cards. These aren’t random comparisons, they’re players who perfectly illustrate why balanced Speed and Acceleration have always felt more effective than simply stacking one pace stat. Sometimes, the numbers don’t tell the whole story, but the gameplay certainly does!

When Kimpembe was a defensive wall 😴

Presnel Kimpembe was once seen as the future of PSG’s defence. Between 2020 and 2022, both PES/eFootball and FIFA/FC players know exactly what I’m talking about. He wasn’t just another centre-back, he was one of those rare “glitch” defenders who always performed far beyond his stats. I still remember struggling against my friend’s Kimpembe in Friendly Matches. Sometimes I’d rather face Iconic defenders like Puyol or Maldini than go up against him.

He was also one of the few defenders who could consistently stop the old through lob meta. Back then, lofted through passes from defenders like Van Dijk to Mbappé or Haaland were one of the hardest mechanics to defend, yet Kimpembe somehow made it look easy. Sadly, football had different plans. A devastating injury completely changed what looked like a career destined to stay at the top. That’s why I sincerely hope history doesn’t repeat itself with William Saliba. Elite centre-backs are becoming increasingly rare, and losing another one to serious injuries would be a huge blow for both football and eFootball.

The screenshots above perfectly capture that era. Even players who owned Iconic or Legendary defenders still trusted Kimpembe enough to start him. Looking back at those old squads reminds me of how special PES used to feel. Kimpembe wasn’t only incredible with his special cards even his basic version was strong enough for Ranked, Friendly Matches and National Team events. More than anything, these memories remind me why I still hope eFootball brings back some of the atmosphere, presentation and charm that made the PES era so unforgettable. 😮‍💨☁️ ‘⏜‘..

Only 4️⃣ That’s All I Need. 🦦

If I had to choose only 4 cards from this pack, these would easily be my picks.

James Rodríguez comes first. I already own his latest Colombia Highlight card, and although it’s only a 95 max rated version, it’s still much better than having only his GP card. This Show Time version, however, is on a completely different level. James is one of those players whose in game feel is always better than his stats suggest.

The second one is Luka Modrić. I’ve always enjoyed midfielders who drop deep, receive the ball from the defenders and build the attack themselves. That’s exactly what makes Modrić so satisfying to use.

From the Highlight cards, I’d choose Ivan Perišić. He’s one of the most underrated players of his generation, and his versatility has always made him a unique player in eFootball.

Finally, Yassine Bounou. Compared to his previous POTD version, this Highlight card looks much better, especially in GK awareness, catching, parrying and reflexes.

If eFootball has taught me anything, it’s that the player you’re chasing is always the last one to show up 🗿¿

u/mkhi6 — 25 days ago

They could’ve chosen any moment.. except this one.

No bias here. I just don’t understand why Konami chose one of the saddest moments of Ronaldo’s career for a Big Time card. he has countless iconic moments that would’ve fit much better.

Unlike Messi’s cards, which celebrate his great performances for Argentina against teams like Egypt, Switzerland, and England instead of showing him in tears. Legends should be remembered through their greatest moments, not their heartbreak..
