X(Twitter) chat agents seeing different price in cart.
First of all, I completely understand X chat or United website chat is not the best option to book tickets. Unfortunately, I have to book through agents as we have travel credits which need to be split from an older booking.
I have a certain price for a flight in the cart, lets say $3000 and I provided the CARTID to X agent. She comes back and says the price is now higher around $4500. I checked again and I can checkout online at the price I see. This happened multiple times and I gave up. Also I suspect X chat agents are based outside the US especially today when its a US holiday. Have you guys encountered price differences like this with an existing CARTID in your account?
