"Daddy, can you go back to planet..."

I Just watched the movie Coherence. It's Outer Wilds AF. Go watch it.
Yes you.
No excuses.
Go grab a glowstick and go watch the movie.
I've never played this game, I know there's some rotation gimmick (I don't mean that in a derogatory sense) to it, so I'm wondering what it's like? Is it the whole game based around this gimmick the way Outer Wilds and Tunic are? Like does it have the same "oh shit I can do that?" kind of moments?
Me, 35, watching the new Spyro trailer with my 7yo.
Him: "is that a bat?"
Me: 😂 😥😭 💀
The lack of a map really tweaks my whiskers especially when the game says things like "open the Western gate" bro I have no way of knowing which way is West
What is this black crack in the sky at 5 seconds?
"Cursed Cleansed" pops up 3x at 0:02, 0:11, and 0:20 before "Kris Pearl Obtained" pops up(not in video). This also happened with Hiratrola but I didn't get footage. PS5 current version as of July 2026
started the fight with Vermund (Dragons Dogma 2 reference) and my HUD disappeared.
I don't have footage of before the fight but at 0:07 on this video you can see that it is set to "always shown" and I had to toggle it off and on again to get it back 0:21.
I've beat the game but I had a "what if" question.
If you don't go to QM and never meet Solanum, is she still at the campfire? I can't test this on my current save cuz I did QM and stuff already.
So there a lot of "this is how I beat Samwise" advice and videos but none, I mean zero, look like my Samwise. Is there like an updated or patched version? Mine is harder? No poison spray, the stomp Spike is fast and nearly unavoidable (or I just suck) there are large unblockable blasts and smaller blade projectiles. I'm guessing I have a newer and probably harder version.
Is there an elemental flow chart of weakness and resistance like pokemon?
Like
Ice > Fire > Nature > Lightning > Spirit > Psychic etc
Or is it all on a case by case basis?
Can someone explain the difference between poise and balance in this game? I know what poise is in Elden ring, but I'm not sure what the difference is between poise and balance in this particular game
So I beat this boss without using the doll item on him, no spoilers but did I miss out on any important quest lines or is it just sort of like Mohg's Shackle where it makes the fight a little bit easier?
I was fighting samwise, and then decided to not fight him anymore. So I used my teleport to last save thing whatever it's called, and when I got here all these icons were lit up and kind of broken looking. Saving and healing didn't get rid of the icons but I quit and reloaded the game and it was fine.on PS5. Just fyi I guess
Here's a post-rock arrangement I made of the main theme. Video is just flying around, no real spoilers or reveals. Not sure why I made this, I beat the game and then felt like I wanted to.
Context: i beat the fish boss Lophi, I got through the maze but I didn't complete it. I met Levida at the poison swamp but didn't to through it. Not sure I'm supposed to go through the swamp as there's no map.
I'm level 13 but I've no idea how to upgrade my red or purple "hand potion" nor can I buy new spells, they are locked behind "progress more in the proving".
No map means IDK where I am or where I have been or where I'm supposed to go next, can I get a hint or clue? Also how can I get more spells and upgrade my red and purple potions?
Can someone explain the difference between perfect block (L1 at the right time) and Parry (L1+R1) and Deflect (idk how to do this)
anyone here played the forbidden lands board game? Can you tell me what does it play like and is it better for more or less players etc
Sword of the Flayed is very clearly inspired by Chaoseater, War’s sword from Darksiders. I love little nods like this. Besides the Moon-themed greatsword from an update a while ago, are there any other weapons/armor that references other franchises or IP’s?
Fingers crossed we get Death’s Scythe from Darksiders in the next game.
This one is the pure culmination of knowledge, hard work, and emotional investment.
