Am I forcing short hair to look good on me?

I have very thick heavy hair. I used to have it long until I got a short perm cut and fell in love with the short hair life. I then went for a straight pixie style cut and I love the style but idk if it loves me. Whenever I see examples of pixie/bixie transformations, it’s always on people with super cute button noses and narrow angular faces, and curly/textured hair. I have a pretty square face and thick, straight hair (without a perm of course), so I end up looking kinda mushroom-y after not very long. This is even after my hair is thinned out a lot - I even got a pair of thinning shears to try stay on top of it myself!

I guess my question is, does a short haircut suit me? Is my hair type and face shape a good combo for it? Or is long hair more ‘flattering’? Or even something in between?! I want to find a style I can go back to time and time again but I can’t seem to settle on something ‘signature’ for me 🥲

Is a refurbished iPad Pro a good longterm option?

A few months ago I bought an XP-Pen Artist 16 and I've been absolutely loving learning digital art! But I'm on the move a lot for work and social things, so I wish I could bring something around with me.

A few years back I used my dad's old iPad for drawing on and got on really well with Procreate, but the battery sucked and it would overheat. I'm tempted to give an iPad another go, but obviously a better, newer version. I'm just so overwhelmed by what's available! My budget won't cover something brand new, so I'm looking at a refurbished and/or older generation iPad pro. In terms of longevity, is there a real difference between the different generations? Has anyone used a refurbished iPad pro and what did you think? Ideally it would last me a good few years, but I'm not sure if that's asking a lot for a refurbished tablet!

I bought my Artist 16 secondhand and I got a fantastic deal. So I'd probably keep it as my at-home tablet instead of selling it on.

How did we all do in the ticket trenches?

I was 9 in the queue for a UK date but it wouldn't accept my code at first - never been so stressed! But I got the tickets I wanted 🥹 how did everyone else do? Did anyone go for VIP? I was considering it but I panicked!

Trying to stay cool!

If you’re in the UK, you’ll know it’s hot as balls rn lol. We are not used to this, especially in May! As a certified Stinky Boy, Pio is usually not a fan of baths. But he was demanding regular misting 😆 I’m probably worrying too much but I hate thinking that he’s uncomfortable in this heat - what are you doing to keep your tiels cool?

Documented my first attempt at a faceup recently! I never realised how shaky my hands were until trying to paint eyebrow hairs lmao. But the process has been super fun! Not finished yet, but I’m proud of the result so far 💛
