Doing a shelf purge to free up rack space. I’ve got a batch of cultures sitting right around the 4-month mark. Tested clean and ready to run for grain or agar—they’re just past their sprinter phase, so expect them to take an extra beat to wake up compared to fresh pulls.

The spores are definitely deep purple, but the way they land on those lighter caps makes the whole canopy look straight-up dusty pink in person. Stoked that the camera actually picked up the vibe today—those ruffled caps look so damn cool.
We’ve been isolating this Mighty Joe Young genetic line for the Genesis Catalog, and the morphological traits on this flush are absolutely wild. Check out the overall density, the stipe girth, and that massive fused cap in the second frame. It’s been fascinating researching how these thick, heavy structures perform and push through on a standard CVG run. Same huge ones came out of this run.
I was able to colonize grain in less than two weeks, and got it fully colonized in the substrate in about 8 days. Now I'm on day 5, and growth is starting to pop up everywhere.
We still have some time to see what the end game is like, but I'm thinking I can cut this Enigma down to a 1-month cycle from start to finish (inoculation to harvest).
Finally got the latest round of research genetics uploaded to the catalog today. Finishing up all the artwork was definitely a grind, but glad they're finally live. Which one are you looking forward to getting under the scope?
