Merci d'avance :)

[homemade] apple pull-apart bread

I followed @dayana_bakes recipe but used homemade biscuits instead of canned.

Her recipe:

Ingredients

Apple Filling
* 3 apples, peeled and diced
* 2 tbsp butter
* ⅓ cup brown sugar
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* ¼ tsp nutmeg
* 1 tsp vanilla
* 1 tbsp lemon juice
* 1 tbsp cornstarch
* 2 tbsp water
* Pinch of salt

Bread
* 2 cans refrigerated biscuits
* 1 stick butter, melted
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Make the apple filling:
    Cook diced apples with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt for 6-8 minutes. Mix cornstarch with water and stir it in. Cook 1-2 more minutes until thick. Stir in vanilla and let cool.
  2. Make the cinnamon sugar:
    Mix the white sugar and cinnamon together.
  3. Prepare the biscuits:
    Open each biscuit in half, creating two thinner pieces.
  4. Build the layers:
    Dip each biscuit half in melted butter, then coat it in the cinnamon sugar.
    Place the pieces into a greased loaf pan, layering them with the apple filling between sections.
  5. Bake:
    Bake at 350°F for 1 hour, or until the center is fully baked.

My biscuit dough recipe:

-2 cups all purpose flour
-4 tsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/3 cup vegetable oil
-2/3 cup milk

  1. Whisk dry ingredients together
  2. Add wet ingredients and mix with fork until all combined
  3. Roll out dough until about 1/4 inch thick
  4. Use a large mug (about 3-4 inch circumference) as a cookie cutter
  5. Repeat until the dough is all used up

Should I start from scratch again?

Hi!

During COVID, I played close to 10k hours and had a five star island. Unfortunately, around a year and a half ago, I had to sell my switch including my games. I had to say goodbye to all that hard work and it was heartbreaking.

Fast forward to now. I'm on bed rest for the next three months and I made the decision to buy a switch lite to help pass the time because I can afford to at this point in time. I miss playing ACNH like crazy but I'm afraid starting from scratch again is going to be a bit of a nightmare (especially when it comes to not having friends to bring me non-native fruits and other essential stuff).

If you have experience with this specifically, was it all worth it in the end?

Thanks a lot❤️

Possibly made a mistake leaving those behind 😭

Found three lidless vintage pyrex but they were 70$ total and I couldn't justify paying that price for something from the thrift store. But they were so beautiful 💔

Unsure what this says 🤔

Please note, the stone changes color, and when it [?] it said purple. But if I move it changes to purple too!
