Remote for PowerRise shades?

I believe our shades were purchased in 2015, and have been told they are PowerRise. The remote, model WS108, stopped working last week. I tried to reprogram the remote, as did the dealer (he got HD on the phone for help)...no luck. Shades work fine if you get up there and press the manual button. Seems HD no longer sells the WS108 and I can't find one on eBay. Do I have any options here? The shades work fine. I certainly don't want to have to take them down because of a problem with a very simple remote. thx

Stream app keeps stopping

Title pretty much says it. I'll start watching a channel on my iPhone (almost always in the house on WiFi, so no rights issues), and it will stop playing on its own. Sometimes after 30 seconds, sometimes after a few minutes. I've reinstalled the app, issue persists.

Dash lights intermittently on with loss of cruise control

2018 Outback 3.6. The head unit screen is doing wacky things (unresponsive to touch, dialing phone numbers on its own) that I think are related to a delaminated digitizer, which I plan to replace. Also, though, dash lights (check engine, hill descent, cruise control) coming on periodically, and when they do, cruise control no longer works. My (uneducated) guess is that the head unit issue is unrelated to the dash/cruise control issue. First, does this make sense? And second, any thoughts on what the dash light issue might be (as I understand it, if the check engine light is on CC won't work)? Impossible to repeat something to compel the lights to come on...they just come on, and go off, randomly. thx

Using doweling jig to join workbenches together

I've built two Harbor Freight Yukon workbenches and now want to join them together to create a larger work surface for the garage, as this guy explains in the post linked below. I'm hoping to use dowels to help join the edges of the tops together, and have a Milescraft dowel jig kit, but I can't figure out how to use the kit to properly align the holes along both edges. Is my only option going to be to use the dowel pins to mark the hole from one edge to the other? Or is there some other way to do this?

How is this hardware/price?

With rebate, iBuyPoer desktop now priced at $1999 at Costco, where I'd like to buy (90 day return policy hard to beat, and important to me as I explore the software for the first time):

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB - 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD

Quite a bit pricier, even with rebate, than several months ago, but I gather that is what it is with memory demand. Thoughts on this for MSFS (and X-Plane)?

Availability in Costco?

I'd like to buy the Quest 3 from Costco. Any guesses as to if it will come back in stock, and if so, when?

I bought the car from a dealer 130 miles from my home, and met dealer valet at an airport roughly 100 miles from where I live. Car has maybe half a dozen small scratches in various places, including one small dot on a door where primer is showing through (the dot is white). These are all scratches that I can feel with a fingernail (white showing through in just the one). It also looks like one plastic headlight cover is scratched on the edge. I talked to the dealer before taking the car. Very nice, said they'd pay "reasonable amount" to fix.

The spot with primer showing definitely needs to be repaired. What about the others? Should I insist on having those repaired too, or just live with them...not wanting to be a jerk about this? The car is on a three year lease, and other than the spot with primer showing, I don't think any of the other scratches would cost me anything when I turn it it. But...it's not "perfect". What's the right thing to ask for here?

My wife and I are doing a four day anniversary trip in early June and can't figure out whether we should rent a Twizzy, or something similar, or rely on buses and taxis. We are staying at the Reefs. Scooters are a no go for my wife. Twizzy prices are insane for four days, of course, but it's an anniversary trip, so the money isn't an insurmountable issue. On the other hand, will our "experience" be much worse if we use buses and taxis?

I think the answer is "yes", but just confirming that we can exit from a different TH than where we will enter, as designated on the permit we have. Also, I presume we can modify the route as we get closer to the trip (route still under discussion), yes? Thx.
