Music for insomniacs. It starts with music mostly about insomnia and sleep - but gradually becomes more mellow and ambient. Hopefully, you'll be asleep by the end...
open.spotify.comWhat is your favourite 21st century Blur studio album?
reddit.comGeorge Harrison was known for his lifelong friendship and regular musical collaborations with Ravi Shankar. I did a deep dive into Ravi Shankar's back catalogue and made a chronological playlist of highlights. George produced and features on a number of the tracks included. I hope you enjoy🙏
open.spotify.comPlaylist of artists performing at We Out Here 2026 festival. I'll keep adding tracks until the festival takes place 🙏
open.spotify.comDamon Albarn - some of his best music from outside of Gorillaz (and Blur) in one big mix (Spotify playlist). The guy is certainly prolific! 🔥❤️
Feel free to ask about any of the tracks included - I did a deep dive!
I made a chronological playlist of some of the best Stuart Zender material. Though I'd share as it might appeal to some of you on here🙏(see my comments in body text)
I'm a big fan of him as a bassist, so I did a deep dive into his work. This playlist includes bass and other instrument contributions, collaborations, songwriting, production, and other work. I'm still hoping for that solo album that's been rumoured! Note that a couple of tracks aren't on Spotify (e.g. AZUR) so you'll need the MP3 files to play those. Also, he technically didn't play bass on a couple of tracks; e.g. Ms Dynamite, but he was part of the touring band and in the music video (so I included that as a kind of nod to his involvement); and a couple of Mark Ronson songs, where he was musical director but not always the actual bassist (and again appeared in the music videos). The inclusion of Deeper Underground and Falling aren't mistakes. Deeper Underground was his final Jamiroquai contribution, and he recently confirmed he wrote the bassline for Falling, which was then adapted by Nick - who played the part on the recording. Enjoy! 🙏
I challenged myself to make two hour playlist compiling Blur's best material. This was the result! No doubt a few controversial inclusions and omissions - it was really hard! Would would you include on yours?
open.spotify.comMy attempt at making the ultimate George Harrison playlist🙏 It ended up over two hours long, and there are still amazing tracks I had to resist including - he really was that great! What would be on yours?
open.spotify.comI was challenged my a friend to compile my ultimate jazz playlist less than 3 hours long. This was the result - it will appeal to you if you like jazz fusion, free jazz & spiritual jazz. Includes John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Pharoah Sanders, Alice Coltrane, Don Cherry, Sun Ra, Herbie Hancock & more.
Technically I failed the challenge as I went over by 4 minutes, but I'm happy with the result! What would go on your jazz playlist bucket list?
