Days 1, 5, 10 ivermectin and selenium sulfide wash

Days 1, 5, 10 respectively. I only do the wash every few days, since it dries out your skin so much. I layer the ivermectin with moisturiser because my skin is so sensitive, and it’s still been effective. :)

Day 1 Ivermectin: lots of little bumps. Reaction or progress?

It’s as itchy as it was the day before introducing. I’ve been keeping my routine simple to introduce the ivermectin. I’ve been using a simple moisturiser after, but maybe I need to layer moisturiser, ivermectin, moisturiser? How was ivermectin for you? Did you get these bumps?

12 hour flight. He didn’t stop putting his legs against me until my husband and I traded seats

He was asleep. I couldn’t even sit straight in my seat. Tried pushing him away, he pushed back harder. Tried waking him up, and he did not budge…until my husband changed seats with me. Then he moved and respected his space the entire flight, even though he fell back asleep.

House sitter made racist comments in interview. Should we report?

We had a potential house sitter come over to meet us a week or so ago, and this is still on my mind.

She said some racist comments (ENTIRELY UNPROMPTED). My husband and I are white, she was a POC making a comment on another race. It was odd and disturbing, and we couldn’t go with her after that and some of her other quirks. She also made some prepper type comments about “the end”.

Obviously i don’t need someone’s politics to align with mine to stay at my house, but I don’t condone racism. we also have neighbours and close friends who are the race she was making comments on….so obviously I wasn’t going to have her in my home

I would like to report her, but my husband feels bad because she seemed to be using trusted house sitters as a place to stay and seemed to not have stable housing herself

Should we report?

My friend said I better invite her to my Bach, but I wasn’t planning on asking her to be in my bridal party

EDIT: Thank you everyone for explaining the etiquette to me. I’ve only ever gone to bachelorettes at a big airbnb with just the bridal party. If I’m being honest, I was looking forwarding to having just a very chill Bach and not inviting a bunch of people. If I invite her, the group will double because I have to invite everyone in that group. we are all close knit. Part of this was being confused about the etiquette, and the other part is feeling like I don’t have a choice now but to make it a big party, which I do not want. Ive thought about it, and I’m willing to sacrifice what I want for the friendship. I guess I was just hoping that them being invited to my small wedding would make everyone still feel important :(

I am getting married next summer. I am having a small wedding (less than 50 people) with just immediate family and close friends. I asked 4 friends to be in the bridal party. I’ve known all of them 10+ years, and I’ve lived with two of them, gone on many trips with them, etc.. They live in my neighbourhood, and I see them all at least once a week.

I have a friend (let’s call her B) who lives in another state that I moved away from a few years ago. I still go visit my friend group in that state once or twice a year. I love them and care about them so much. I always have such a fun time. But I’m not asking any of them to be in the bridal party. I was a bridesmaid in B’s party a little while ago. At her bachelorette party, she said “you’re going to invite me to yours” and has brought it up once since. She loves deeply and can be a little intense/feels rejected easily because she says I’m her family

I was planning on just having something fun as a one day thing in my town…I wasn’t planning on getting an Airbnb for everyone…which I feel like is part of what people expect from a bachelorette party. Maybe this is selfish, but I just don’t want to host people from out of town a week or two from the actual wedding when I’m going to be super busy. I’m feeling so lost and have no idea what to do. I’m scared of hurting her, and I’m also scared of sacrificing my desires

I panicked in front of my in-laws around food agency and am embarrassed

I am big on needing control/agency around food.

I was at a funeral with my partner's family. There was a buffet after, and I was already super full from lunch and did not want anything. I hate feeling overly full/nauseous. I also like to pick exactly what I eat and how much, especially because some things seem vegetarian but aren't (caesar salad, for example. I also am picky and like my plate made a certain way). My MIL thought maybe I did not want to go get the buffet because there was a full roast pig there (I am vegetarian and don't like seeing stuff like that). My SIL came up to me and told me MIL was making me a plate. I panicked and said anxiously but not loudly "no no please don't let her do that" my partner's extended family heard I think. I regret not handling it more gracefully, but if I wanted food, I would've asked for it! I would've had my partner scope out the food and make me a plate! I am a grown-up! I am big on agency. I worry this changed perceptions of me with the extended family because they are acting different around me.

Then we went out to dinner. I always check the menu ahead of time and can get very attached to my order. When we sat down, MIL wrote down our order and said we could share family style. Well, I must've looked panicked (and I was), and she said I could order my own thing. I decided you know what, let's try to be flexible here and see how it goes. I said it was fine and that there was one dish I really wanted to try but that it would be okay. My MIL then proceeded to tell me over and over again that it was fine if I didn't want to. I kept telling her it was fine until she said it one too many times, and I burst out into tears. I felt so in the spotlight and wanted her to just trust that I was fine because I said I was! Idk I feel like I might've seemed uncomfortable, but that's not a bad thing and I just want to be allowed to be uncomfortable if it means I am working on being more flexible and trying something different. I want her to trust me when I say I am fine. She also kept doing a similar thing asking if I was cold, and she gave me her jacket even though I, again, said over and over I was fine.

I am big on agency, and it has been so hard for me. I wish I handled the first event differently, but I was panicked and didn't know what to do. I am feeling a bit embarrassed and vulnerable. :(

Lost one of my classes because I woke up super sick

I signed up for a Pilates class in the morning. Woke up in the middle of the night feeling super sick. Cancelled 5 hours ahead of time, and there’s 11 spots in the class…

And because of that, they took away one class from my class pack. I’m new to this and pretty pissed about 40 dollars gone for something out of my control

Panicked about food in front of my mother in law after she tried to order my food and make me a plate. Very embarrassed

I have been in recovery 2 years and am doing great for the most part. I struggle with binge eating. I have worked hard to listen to my hunger signals and not push myself

After a funeral, my mother in law tried to make me a plate of food. I am a strict vegetarian, so she thought maybe I did not want to go make myself a plate because there was a full roast pig next to everything. When in reality, I was super full from lunch just before the funeral. My sister in law told me my MIL was making me a plate, and I panickily said "no don't let her do that" and SIL ran to tell MIL to stop. I panicked because I get triggered when other people make food decisions for me without consultation/comment on my food consumption. I am pretty sure other people in my extended family heard my panic when I said that to SIL, and I am so embarrassed. Part of me thinks I maybe should've just eaten the food.

Then at dinner she started ordering all the food for the table. MIL looked at me and could tell I was panicked (I was worried that if we did family style, I might not get enough to eat/might not feel full, especially because not everything was vegetarian). She reassured me I could get my own thing if I wanted. I said it was fine. I was feeling like it was a good opportunity to just ask for more food if I needed and that it would be okay. And she kept telling me it was fine if I didn't want to over and over until I burst out crying because I felt like there was so much attention around me and food and eating.

I feel so embarrassed and am worried about his family thinking I am too sensitive/anxious. I know she is just trying to take care of me, but it felt intrusive and I panicked :(

Where to get wedding chairs for public park wedding?

For those of y'all who did your wedding in a public park: how did you do the chair rentals? I am getting married in Volunteer Park, and we are charged 177 for every hour, including set-up and breakdown. I saw Marry Me Rentals can do a drop off and pickup after a few hours, but they are a fairly new company.

If you did this, how did you do it, and do you have any places you liked working with? We don't meet the minimum at some places. We will have 45ish people and just need the chairs.
