Katana Zero has always been and will always be one of those games I could never get tired of playing because it’s so good in every way. I don’t know how to describe it, but I played it thanks to a relative I really looked up to. One day, he showed me a little bit of the game, and I was hooked

After a while, I downloaded the game myself. At the time, I didn’t really think much about downloading from trustworthy sites—I was just looking for a MediaFire link from a guy on YouTube, and that was enough for me. I’m sure there was some Russian malware on my computer watching everything

I played the game; it hooked me and filled me with emotions I honestly couldn’t explain. The reason it hit me so hard was because I live in a country where all you hear about is war, corrupt governments, and a nation in social and economic decline—perhaps a country you’d want to escape from, far, far away, at some point.

Let’s just say that at the time I was going through a really crazy phase; the only way I could describe it would be as a kind of irritation with everything that existed—everything caused me fatigue and mental fog; I felt like even existing hurt, all the time, constantly searching for ways out while also looking for a spiritual or esoteric solution.

That moment in *Zero* where he says, “It’s only been a week, but it feels like a year; every word drags on,” was so, so hard to hear because that’s exactly how it felt—as if time had entered a limbo

The thing is, when the game ended, I could only look up—almost like in that scene from *Jujutsu Kaisen* where Todo appears, crying and looking up at the sky—and I said, “That was incredible.”

I’d say that later I found a solution to all of that—that intense feeling I used to have every day. I’m still here, in this country ruled by ruthless and cruel people. Some nights I go up to the rooftop to look out at the buildings, just like in that scene from *Zero* where the girl is on the roof, wanting to leave and go somewhere far away. But things are definitely better now.

I started following Buddhism, Taoism, and their teachings, and they brought me peace; my fear of death completely disappeared, and they taught me to go with the flow of life and situations. I learned a lot.

But there’s something: *Katana Zero* made war a sensitive topic for me—one I don’t joke about. And yet I feel a connection to the battlefield and the soldiers. But every time my heart and mind think about what war entails, everything comes crashing down. I never cry over bad things, but war? It’s the only thing that makes me cry real, hard tears.

I just hope that Russian guy who was definitely with me enjoyed the experience too—after all,

How can I put it? Don’t you think it’s a great idea that people with their own lives, their own experiences, and their own thoughts can create their own worlds with their own songs?

The visuals of each world could be based on experiences, an emotional state, something—a thought from the creator

The music in each world could be based on the emotional state that the world’s creator also wants to convey to those who explore it

These are worlds full of life—and it’s fantastic—with their own feelings and thoughts conveyed by their creators.

Hey! A few days ago I posted about watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and it was definitely an incredible experience. For me, there’s no denying the great job Shaft did with Madoka

Right now I’m watching Mekakucity Actors, which I’ve actually known about since I was a kid! Back then, though, I didn’t even know it was by Shaft, or that it was part of the Monogatari series, and I hadn’t seen the Mekakucity Actors anime either—I’d only heard of it through a very famous animation from that time

Now, I don’t know how to explain it, but when I started the first episode of *Mekakucity Actors* today, all I could say was, “Why do I feel like I’m watching *Monogatari* in another universe?” I think Shaft used a visual style very similar to that of *Monogatari*, and that’s great because it makes the series feel very close to the other one—it’s comforting even though it’s a separate experience. The camera angles, settings, and character designs are all quite similar, but clearly not identical.

How incredible! A round of applause for Shaft, please—may this studio keep going until the very end!

I remember that one of the last things you see in Monster Off Seasons—\*if I’m not mistaken\*—is that Nadeko is still struggling with her unrequited feelings for Araragi when Yotsugi runs into her and they face off against the slug. That moment in the anime is actually INCREDIBLY beautiful, and I love how it shows that Nadeko isn’t just a “cute girl.”

I don’t remember that moment exactly, but can we assume from that scene that she lets go of her feelings for Araragi, or does she tell herself that it’s okay to live with those feelings even if Araragi never accepts her?

Honestly, in that part of the anime, I couldn’t help but feel a deep appreciation for Nadeko—long live Nadeko!
